CHAPTER 97
Right now, the only thing Androda felt was like she was a sheep walking quietly to the Lion's den, Liu Xueyi's slaughter house.
Androda ca to a stop in front of him. Hesitating on what to do next even though his clear instruction rang in her head.
She did not need to wait too long, seeing his fingers tap on the space beside him.
Slowly, but finally she sat down carefully beside him with both hands locked in front of her.
"How are you?" Liu Xueyi inquired, hoping to rid the atmosphere of its awkwardness.
"Fine. You?"
"Good. Relax. I am not angry or anything. I only ca to check up on you and probably just talk while watching a film or sothing," Liu Xueyi confessed.
"I see." She inhaled deeply. her mind finally finding its long-awaited rest.
She had least expected his reason to be just that. And right now, she had the urge to ask what was going on but refrained.
"Okay. I would put the television on."
He nodded, watching her pick up the remote control and did the needful.
Not long after, they were staring straight at Netflix and she clicked on Uncharted. Her smile broadened as she settled in her seat, giving so distance between them.
"Have you watched it?" She asked, keeping her eyes on him.
"Nope. Sadly, I haven't had ti since its release. So let's watch."
They spent the next couple of minutes enjoying the film in silence. And the longer it went in, the more relaxed Androda soon beca.
It did not take her long to lose her fears of him being angry. And when Liu Xueyi scooted closer to her, placing his hand over her shoulder, she tilted her head on his, leaning into his body.
An hour into the film, he turned his head to look at her only to find that she was already fast asleep.
His lips pulled back into a smile as he warmly held her closer.
"Sleepyhead. You were so tired, yet you hosted us."
He stood up and picked her in his arms, taking her to her room and laying her on the bed.
Just before he left, his eyes caught sight of her biting down on her lower lip and pulling them into a pout as she mumbled so inaudible words.
He moved back and covered her properly with the blanket. His piercing deep dark onyx eyes shone in admiration as his gaze washed over her beautiful face.
"You are beautiful, Androda Kai. And I count myself lucky to have t you," he muttered to himself.
Slowly, he ran his fingers through her hair, caressing the soft strands of golden blonde hair through the warmth of his palm.
He continued for so seconds and finally tucked them behind her ears, allowing them to fall on her head in a smooth heap.
Everything about her, her actions, smile, defiant side, boldness… everything about her had him riled up and his heart thudding wildly in his chest.
'Rong was right. I am losing myself to loving her.'
Without thinking much, he leaned in and pressed his lips on hers, stealing another kiss from her while she slept.
Unlike the last, however, her soft lips parted a little, giving him the opportunity to taste her. Taking hold of the blissful mont, he clasped her upper lips between his, licking and kissing them softly before she closed them back.
He smiled on her lips, breaking the kiss. His fingers found her face, brushing on her cheeks, silently caressing them.
At that mont several emotions erupted from deep within. He did not know why but whenever he was close to her like this, especially kissing her, the mory of that night ca flooding in.
For days now, weeks even, he had tried to wipe that mory off because when it all ended, he felt bad for using soone innocent.
Although the feeling was blissful, never had been so turned on by a lady. Yes, the drugs had an effect but she was different.
The way the lady kissed him with equal fire and passion. The sweet taste of her lips. It felt the sa as when he kissed Androda.
To him, there was no way they were the sa person because Androda was supposedly in a relationship with Wu Bai.
She wouldn't be in a hotel and worst, the badass vibe Androemda gave while at work was different from the woman he t.
Once again, he was in a dilemma. This was why he wished to find that lady. He needed to make sense of the whole issue.
'Am I feeling this way about Androda because of that lady? Or is it just feeling guilty? That I transfer those emotions to Androda?'
He shook his head and pulled his hand away from her cheek.
His forehead was marred with a deep frown, while his thoughts ran deep.
'Tell if you know because I am lost. I promised to take responsibility but how could you run off without a trace?'
He let out a deep sigh, getting to his feet. 'I wish I could have all the answers and soon enough. I fear that I lose myself to Androda each day. Help find you if you are out there in need of soone. Please.'
Shutting his eyes briefly, he placed both hands in his trouser pocket and exited the room, putting off the light before he left.
He did not understand what was going on with him.
One mont he recalls his ti with the lady of that night and then his blood gets pumping and his body feels tingles all over, recalling how good and soft she felt.
The other mont, he is with Androda and his inner self keeps wanting her. He knew what he felt for Androda was real but for that lady, she left a mark on his mind.
It was like the aftertaste of sweet wine, never leaving your lips as they lingered so much on your taste bud.
All through his drive back ho that night after taking care of her house and setting things in order, Liu Xueyi's chest weighed so much with the thoughts he felt he could hide.
After being with Androda and Gu Jun, he knew he wanted her and he did not want another man holding her close. He wanted to be the person to do that.
'I need to search and find her soon.'
