CHAPTER 86
Androda did not wish to bother with it and without thinking, she felt it was probably one of the team mbers here to collect sothing.
Prying her lips open, she called out sharply, "Co in!"
She fell back into her seat, ignoring whoever it was that was going to walk straight through that door and allowed the comfort her chair provided to seep into her bones.
Opening the door, Liu Xueyi got in and shut it close, using the lock before watching her from where he stood.
At first, she wanted to ignore it because knowing her workers, they would by every ans, greet her before doing anything but when she heard the sound of the door lock being ticked, she lifted her head and turned her seat in that direction.
Her eyes landed on him and imdiately went wide as she assessed her situation properly. Her boss, Liu Xueyi was here.
"Hello, Androda," Liu Xueyi greeted with a cheeky smile as he took the first step in her direction.
"Umm…" she licked her lips, her breathing becoming unusual as she watched him walk over to her. "Sir."
"Liu Xueyi," he corrected firmly, coming to a stop in front of her. "Hey. Let's try this again now, shall we?" She did not respond but straightened in her seat and kept staring at him.
"Hi, Androda."
"Hey, Liu Xueyi." She was surprised by her own hypnotic voice. Since when did she play by his rules?
"Good. For starters, you look absolutely stunning today."
"Thanks, but I cannot accept that complint in my tired and ssed up state," she shook her head and stood to her feet.
"Anyways, what can I do for the CEO of Liu Corporation?"
"I would love to start by…"
"Wait," she lifted her hands to stop him, wearing her suspicious detective gaze on. "Please not another weird joke of my ssed up beauty." Liu Xueyi raised his brows at her.
"Well, kinda weird but kinda cute," a slow smile spread over her mouth and spilled into her eyes.
"Ouch so I can say, I am kinda offended but, I am also kinda flattered." He winked at her and reached for her face.
Instinctively, Androda withdrew from his fingers, parting her lips slightly with her eyes locked on his hand.
"Ouch, again," Liu Xueyi's lips parted as well as he withdrew his fingers. Together they burst into a fit of laughter for so seconds before they cald down.
"How are you?" His face suddenly beca serious as he asked her genuinely.
Just looking at him, Androda knew that more of what had happened that day weighed on his mind. She opened her mouth to respond to his question when he cut her quickly.
"No need for you to speak or answer that. It was a silly question. I am sorry, Androda. What I did that day, was completely out of it and there is no excuse."
"Shhh…" she lowered her head briefly, fighting her mind to get it together.
Just a glimpse from her mind of what happened that day and her cheeks was starting to burn in response.
"You cannot say there was no excuse, Liu Xueyi. I could tell you weren't yourself. I know you didn't drink. I did not sll alcohol on your lips while we ki…"
She paused, swallowing hard and evading his eyes by all ans. "You know, did that." She lifted her head to look at him again and quickly glanced around the office.
"I cannot say you drank, but perhaps during your eting or sothing. I bet we did not notice but sothing must have been given to you or was there a drug in your al?"
She tried to figure it out and honestly, she evaded this thought and topic all these days and did not ponder why her feelings and desires were ignited so much that day until now.
He walked round to where she stood behind her desk and gazed down lovingly at her.
"Andy." She took a step back to keep a considerable distance between them but his hands were fast and they wrapped around her protectively as he brought her close to him.
Loosening one hand from her waist, he kept the other firm on her back and lifted the first up to cup her chin. "I know what got that way, but still, it was no excuse."
She watched his resolve dance before his eyes just like that day, burning with innate desires and when they did, it was better than that day where he was lead by his passions and lust.
"Uh…" Having him that close, Androda could barely form any coherent words in her mind.
His distance with her was sothing else and of great importance. The closer he got, the more she felt his body heat seep into hers and a reaction she wasn't expecting.
Her insides tingled in complete desire but she was sure to keep them at bay. One wrong move and she could awaken his.
"Xueyi…" she lowered her gaze once more, hoping the fast beating of her heart would calm down and not be realized sooner.
"Ask away."
That golden open ticket or blank cheque was all Androda needed and she got professional again and dared herself to look at him.
"Then, what got you aroused?" Her eyes moved again. She wasn't that bold after all with him.
"Well," he tilted her face to look at him directly in the eyes. "It wasn't what got aroused though. It started the heat but sothing else did."
"Oh, really?" She blinked in disbelief. "Then what did?"
"You." Her eyes blinked wide in confusion while her brows creased ceaselesss at his bold declaration, trying to figure out what she did other than let him take her ho.
There was no hesitation. No denial nor was there any confusion in those dark eyes of his as he opened his lips to declare once more. "I was thinking of you."
"Thinking of ? How?" Her brain seed to have gone on a proper vacation there before it ticked back, realizing what he just said. "Huh..."
