CHAPTER 51
The second he arrived at the Liu entertainnt industry, several stares fell on him and murmuring ensued. Most females present at the shooting site began to throw their advances at him.
He was one of the most handso actors in the country and the best for his acting skills. Due to that, his fans flocked around him like bees which further made him cringe from the attention.
Also, trying to have a normal life from his already busy CEO one with all those bitchy, power-hungry girls flocking, he dared not mix up the two businesses.
If there was anything, Liu Xueyi wanted to have a life to return to after the one he had as an actor.
The second the producing director laid eyes on him, he rushed over to et him. "Afternoon, Ye Yuan."
"Director, you are stealing from my free ti," Liu Xueyi replied reaching up to adjust his sunglasses. "Afternoon anyway."
"Don't be like this. Do not worry we would compensate you," he said with a smile and lead him to the shooting area. "You can quickly get changed and wait for the make-up artists to give you a touch-up."
"Fine." He paused in his tracks. His eyes slowly scanned the set for soone. When he did not see who he was looking for, he brought his gaze back to his director.
Using his index finger, he pulled his sunglasses down a bit. "Where is she?"
"Ah…" A guilty smile flashed in his eyes. That was all he could give to appease Liu Xueyi's wrath. "Well, she… You know I called her."
"Chao Jin-Ho," he called out with a deep voice. He watched as his director tensed a bit.
He was one actor they disliked offending because of his importance. And the director understood how he valued his ti above anything else.
"Calm down. I am sorry. She should be here any minute. She…"
"Oh my, Qian–Qian is here!"
"Oh Gosh! She remains as beautiful as ever. Just so dashing and her charisma."
Imdiately the director let out an exasperated sigh and gave Liu Xueyi his best smile yet. "You see, Fan Qian is here already. You two can go get changed."
His smile remained, hoping it could quench the raging storm to follow.
Just as they spoke, Fan Qian cat-walked over to where the two of them were while wearing her killer smile.
She wore a thigh-high shimring silver gown that hugged her body, showing all her curves with thin ropes for a hand.
Her silver sandals heels were uncanny, speaking of her wealth while her rich brown hair danced behind her as she swung her heels to an unknown beat.
"Director Chao!" She waved at him and then turned her head to the side to look at Liu Xueyi. She took off her sunshades and pressed her red-clad lips into a thin smile.
"You see, I got stuck in traffic. I…"
"The very sa unknown traffic I just passed along lane beta?" Liu Xueyi's cold voice cut her off instantly, fishing out her lie.
Her smile dropped for a second but she regained it and cleared her throat. I was not coming from the house. I was eting with a friend, from far away," she lied.
"Anyways, that aside. How are you, Ye Yuan? Miss ?"
The second the words left her mouth, she raised her hands to touch Liu Xueyi and act all affectionate. However, before her hands could get close enough, he shot her a deathly glare.
Without bothering to utter a word, he turned and walked away, leaving her hand hanging.
A small unbelievable smile fell off her lips as she watched his retreating figure. "What the…"
"Hehhee," Chao Jin-Ho smiled and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Calm down. Ignore him. You know Ye Yuan hates when people touch him," Chao Jin-Ho explained.
"Hmph! Director," she turned to face the older man and puffed her cheeks into a pout. "Why haven't you still helped to get on his good side? I always do what you ask and I have been a good girl, but Ye Yuan would never bat an eyelid at ."
Still wearing his charming smile that always worked the magic on his actors and actresses, Chao Jin-Ho pressed on her shoulder in a comforting manner. "As I said, try not to act desperate for his attention. n like to play hard to get."
"Am I not beautiful enough? I have also played hard to get. I have ignored him but no matter what I do, he just doesn't want to even spare a conversation."
"That is not true. Do not say that. He talks to you. Right now he was angry you were late."
"Late! I was stuck in traffic," she lied again.
Imdiately, the smile on Chao Jin-Ho's face dropped and he gave her the 'are you done lying' stare.
"You know I called you nearly hours ago and you were just waking up from sleep. My call woke you up. So, what kind of lie was that? Have you forgotten he follows your route to the set?"
"I…" she pouted further. "A girl has to take care of herself and I had to pick the perfect outfit before leaving the house. My image is at stake here," she explained.
He ran his gaze on her body from head to toe in a questioning manner. After so seconds, he let out a sigh at her and shook his head.
"I do not have ti for this, Fan Qian Qian. Go get changed. It is either I cover for your lies or I get a scolding from that naughty Ye Yuan."
"Huh, who are you calling naughty, director?"
At the sa ti, both of them whipped their head to the side and saw Li Xueyi standing there.
"Oh my!" Chao Jin-Ho jolted to his feet. "Ye Yuan, stop doing that," he reprimanded placing a hand on his chest.
"I will if you co and sort so things out rather than wasting ti here with so people."
"Ye Yuan!"
"Yes, yes. I am coming." He smiled apologetically at Fan Qian but he rushed off still. "Let's go."
Together the two of them walked off towards the dressing room, leaving her standing alone.
"Hmph!" she crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Just you wait. I too would get close to the CEO of Liu Company and then Director would favour the most."
