CHAPTER 496
Imdiately they resud work, Liu Xueyi instantly went back full ti into work.
He had been engrossed in a series of back-to-back etings when his phone vibrated insistently on his desk.
With a sigh, he silenced the device during the third ring, his eyes still glued to a projection screen displaying charts and figures. It was his director, Chao Jin-Ho, calling.
After another two minutes passed, the call ca in again. Releasing a frustrated grunt, Liu Xueyui answered the call.
"Xueyi, we're ready for the third shooting scene," Director Chao said, his voice laced with urgency.
Liu Xueyi checked his watch. It was nearly ti. Although he did not want to leave now that he had gotten engrossed so much in work, he knew he had to be there.
That was the burden he had to bear considering he chose both careers.
Turns out both careers were eating him up at the sa ti. Not that he did not expect it. He had anticipated it but then, visualising it and having it happen big ti was not the sa.
"Fine, I'll be there in ten minutes," he replied, his tone clipped and professional.
He quickly wrapped up what he was doing with Xu Fang, ending the mini eting they had and leaving Xu Fang, in charge in his absence.
"I know what to do, Xueyi. This is not the first ti I have handled things for you in the company. Go, chase after your dream with smiles."
A soft smile crept unto his lips at his friend's support.
To him, irrespective of what had happened in the past before, he was glad to have such friends caring for him.
"Thanks, man. I owe you."
"An increase in my salary would do, perhaps," Xu Fang chuckled.
"Who knows, a bonus would be great."
"Relax. I already get my bonus. Besides, this is what friends are for. Now hurry."
Nodding, Liu Xueyi picked up his phone and hurried off.
As he rushed out of his office, he could feel the adrenaline building up. The third scene was a crucial mont in the film they were working on, and he couldn't afford to keep anyone waiting.
The mont he stepped out through his secret route, four n dressed in grey suits walked towards him, escorting him towards his one of his cars.
As soon as he was in, three of them got into the car behind, while the last man sat in the front seat with his driver.
Letting his gaze drop to the fake hair and contacts he usually used, Liu Xueyi leaned forward, ready to pick it up when realization dawned on him.
Indeed, old habits do die hard.
Unlike before, he took this ti in the car to wear his disguise but now that the whole entertainnt industry knew who he really was, the new Director asked that he used his original appearance for the film.
Liu Xueyi drew a deep breath and commanded, "Drive."

anwhile, as the day at her office wound down, Androda couldn't help but think about Liu Xueyi.
They hadn't spent much ti together lately due to their busy schedules, and she missed him terribly.
Not even spending ti together at ho. Thanks to her work eating most of her ti, she went to her apartnt most tis rather than his.
Even if she wanted to stay over with him, he usually returned late. What she did during those tis was to actually design or sew to keep her mind busy.
That day, however, she decided to close early and spend so quality ti with him. Having wrapped up all she was doing, she decided to send him a text ssage to check in on him.
"Hey, how's your day going?" she typed, her fingers dancing across the screen of her phone.
She anxiously waited for his reply, her heart racing as she imagined his response. When the ssage finally ca through, her eyes lit up with excitent.
"I'm at the theatre. We are having a shooting a scene. Miss you, love," his ssage read.
A smile played on her lips as she read his words. Androda decided that she couldn't bear to spend another evening without seeing him.
Rather than wait for his arrival, she decided on surprising him at the theatre.
As Androda made her way to the theatre, she couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation building within her.
She knew that Liu Xueyi would be shocked to see her there, and she relished the thought of his surprised expression.
However, as she entered the theatre, the atmosphere shifted. She could feel the weight of judgntal stares and hushed whispers washing over her.
It was clear that her presence was drawing attention, and not all of it was positive. But she remained undeterred. She had co to see Liu Xueyi, and nothing else mattered.
She scanned the bustling theatre, searching for any sign of him but to no avail.
After so ti searching, she reached into her bag to get out her phone. Either she keep searching ro she called him.
Just as she brought it out, she heard a voice call out to her.
It was Director who noticed her first. He waved her over, a warm smile on his face.
"Androda, over here!" he called out once more, beckoning her to join him.
Grateful for the friendly face, Androda made her way through the sea of people and towards Director Chao.
"Ms. Kai, it's so rare to see your face on set. What brings you here?"
"Um, I just ca to surprise Liu Xueyi and show my support. Nothing more."
"Oh wow. Isn't that romatic?" Androda flashed him a cute smile before shifting her gaze around.
"Umm, if you point in the right direction, I'll not bother you muh. I am sure you are very busy."
Chao Jin-Ho mirrored her smile. Of course, she wasn't a bother but it would be rude of him keeping her here when she wanted to see Liu Xueyi.
"Sure, I'll show you but I do not consider you a bother."
"Understood."
"Sure. He is talking with Director Qi. I am sure you won't miss it." He directed her to the area where Liu Xueyi was waiting for his scene.
"Thanks."
She dipped her head and walked away. As Androda approached, her heart raced.
She could see Liu Xueyi, his tall and commanding presence standing out even in the dimly lit theatre. He was deep in conversation with another director, discussing the upcoming scene.
When Liu Xueyi turned his head and saw her standing there, a look of pure shock crossed his face. His eyes widened, and he froze for a mont, as if unable to comprehend that she was really there.
Androda couldn't contain her joy any longer. She rushed towards him, her heart pounding in her chest. As she reached him, she threw her arms around him, pulling him into a passionate kiss.
For a mont, everything seed to be in slow motion, leaving them on their own and all that mattered was the warmth of their embrace and the taste of each other's lips, cherishing every second of it.
When they finally pulled away, Liu Xueyi's gaze was filled with a mixture of surprise and delight. "Androda, what are you doing here?" he asked, his voice tinged with wonder.
Androda couldn't help but smile. "I missed you too much to stay away any longer," she replied, her eyes locked onto his. "I wanted to surprise you," Androda added.
Liu Xueyi's lips curled into a grin, and he pulled her close once more, savouring the feel of her in his arms. "You have no idea how happy I am to see you," he whispered.
As they stood there, wrapped in each other's embrace, the theatre buzzed with activity around them with several eyes fixed on them.
One of such was Fang Qian Qian. She could not co to terms with the fact that Liu Xueyi ca with his lover to the theatre.
Her rage got the better of her as she watched their intimate mont.
'Damn her a million tis. What is Ye Yuan doing, thinking he can bring his girlfriend here?' she grumbled inwardly.
Regardless of why he did it or if it was allowed or not, Fang Qian Qian was still pissed.
anwhile, Director Qi Fuyi, who had been observing the scene from a distance, couldn't help but smile at the union.
He had known Liu Xueyi for years and had witnessed his dedication to his work. Seeing the happiness that Androda brought into Liu Xueyi's life ward him, but most importantly, he saw a shinning star.
"Get ready for your scene, Yu Weilan," Qi Fuyi stated, turning his attention to one of the actresses on set.
"Yes, Director. I am ready."
"Then please, you and Ye Yuan can take up the stage," he inford her.
She gave a nod and did as she was told.
"Alright, let the third scene begin everyone. Get ready. Ye Yuan please get on stage."
Androda whipped her head in the direction of the man who was speaking when her eyes landed on Director Qi.
Before she could ask any question, Liu Xueyi's voice roared from where she was.
"Yes, Director Qi."
"Yes Director?"
