CHAPTER 233
Before Androda got the chance to say anything, her phone screen lit up and buzzed on her desk, cutting her short as it succeeded in drawing their attention to it.
Slowly, both ladies averted their gaze from the phone and brought it to the other person.
Before Androda could react, Jian Xiaofei pressed her lips together and lifted her shoulders in a shrug.
"I am guessing it is important," she stated sensing Androda's hesitation.
Why both of them had hesitated remained not a shock because the caller was an unknown number.
"Sure. Let see for myself then."
She pushed closer on her chair to the side of her desk where the phone was as her hands reached for the telephone.
"Taking it up, Androda calmly politely questioned, "Hello?"
Even Jian Xiaofei felt captivated instantly by her professional, yet not so uptight tone.
"Hello, Miss Kai, it is , Peng Xiaoli," she inford her imdiately.
"Peng, Xiaoli?" Androda questioned.
Her brows furrowed deeply as her eyes wondered, telling of the confusion in her head. "Xiaoli?"
"Yes, Miss."
"Why are you calling with an unknown number?" Androda inquired.
"Well, I just left the office and umm, for so reason, I do not want to use my phone currently. Anyways, I called to inform you that my ti with Divine Pearl is over."
"What!"
Imdiately, Androda's eyes flung wide open as she drew her seat backwards.
"You said?"
"I was fired."
"What!" Androda hollered, slamming her left palm against the desk as she rose from her seat.
Instantly, Jian Xiaofei saw a perfect change in her eyes and facial expression.
The creases in her forehead as her brows furrowed deeply, while a dark glint shone in those once beautiful twinkling eyes, further left Jian Xiaofei stunned as she saw a perfectly different side of Androda for the first ti.
The aura around her spoke of imnse danger, signalling the arrival of a dangerous specie.
One look at her and Jian Xiaofei did not know which side of her stood out more or made her more beautiful and enchanting.
She had to give her a hand, whichever state she chose, she spread her wings proudly out to the world, showing her grace and brains.
Her face exuded the beauty of an angry goddess and sending the anger coming, Jian Xiaofei felt that to so extent, this side suited her most.
It was one thing her enemies needed to see to put them in their place and prevent any future trouble.
However, the fact her talent exists proved that many would co to trouble her.
"How dare he!" Androda bellowed once more.
"Miss Kai, please calm down. Abate your rage."
"How can I? Those lowly scoundrels!"
Jian Xiaofei cringed when Androda roared those words once more into the phone. There was no doubt that whatever was done had affected her so much.
However, what shocked Jain Xiaofei was the fact that imdiately after the words fell out of Androda's lips, the latter shut her eyes and inhaled deeply.
"Please take a breather."
"Doing so," Androda responded sharply, stunning Jian Xiaofei who wondered if her boss was ever going to truly be calm by this ti.
Several seconds flashed by quickly with Androda repeating the procedure all over again.
Monts later, her breathing seed to have cald down from Jian Xiaofei's notice and when she reopened her eyes once more, the fires of rage that blazed in them had cald down as well.
However, they burned brightly, waiting for any spark to light their powers up once more.
"What happened?"
"It is okay, Miss Kai. Anyway, can I co work for you now?"
"Sure. You always did. I would like to speak to the HR departnt. It would be great having you around once more."
The second she said that Jian Xiaofei pouted at her while crossing her arms in front of her chest.
"Yes, Miss Kai."
"Good. So, tell , what really happened."
"I will tell you in your office when I co. However, it's part of my plan. I will explain later."
"Alright, dear. I will be waiting."
Without saying much to her again, Androda ended the call and placed her phone back on her desk.
By the ti she lifted her head once more, letting out a deep sigh to calm her nerves as she brought her gaze to center on Jian Xiaofei, Androda was shocked for a second by the look she got.
"Huh… what's wrong?"
"I don't know. Why are you asking ?"
A small scoff instantly escaped Androda's lips as she shook her head at Jian Xiaofei. "Until when would you stop behaving like a kid?"
"I am a kid. If that is what it takes for you to listen or understand ," Jian Xiaofei fud out.
Quickly, she turned her head to the side and puffed out her cheeks.
At this point, Androda was so sure Jian Xiaofei was being jealous but she refused to show her she understood what her pouting ant and pushed her buttons instead.
"Are you going to speak with your lips and not your head?" Androda questioned calmly.
Instantly, Jian Xiaofei's eyes flew open the second she said that and turned her head back to face her. "Huh?"
"Yes. Quit acting up. Tell what is wrong. Only if you say would I know."
"Isn't it obvious?" Jian Xiaofei stated bluntly.
"Maybe. But I am reading no signs. So, use your lips."
"Aish!" Frustrated, she dropped both hands to her side and let out a grunt. "Fine. You really need her here?"
"Huh, yes. She understands best. Is that wrong to say?"
"What! So, I don't?"
"Nope. The fact that you are acting up shows that you do not," Androda affird, pulling her lips to the side, revealing a knowing smirk.
"Then what am I?"
"You Jian Xiaofei, you are my baby. You are equally important to , just like Xiaoli. You are still learning to understand , she had more years of experience with that. And she had done so much for ."
"I can too."
"I know. Do not be jealous kiddo."
Hearing Androda call her Kiddo made matters graver. "I'm not a kiddo. Humph!"
