CHAPTER 204
She may have been playful with him but for her, that was much.
Says who she belonged to him just because of that?
Hmph!
She was fuming with anger now. That was a sacred thing for her. The least he could do was make ntion of it with respect and not…
Argh! She did not know why she was even angry at him in the first place. But she expected better.
"I hate you!"
Ignoring whatever protest he may have, Androda turned on her heels and stord off.
He was such a dollop head, dummy at tis, she thought as she walked off towards the door.
However, Liu Xueyi waited till she was long gone before releasing the triumphant smile that longed to co out.
He never wished to hurt her, but he was sure that would hurt her pride. It was better that way.
At least now she had left him alone and wasn't planning on selling him for an auction to his fans.
But then again, thinking back now, when he made ntion of doing this with her, he had hoped she would shy away but never diss him.
Sigh.
'Andy, you would love later. I would make sure I win your heart. For now, let's see you show how you feel, then I would make you mine.'
*****
Rushing off as fast as she could, Andy ignored every other problem of the day. More than anything, she knew he did that to chase her away and she felt so bad.
He did not have to do it that way before he got what he wanted, did he?
Androda's gaze narrowed at her laptop screen before puffing out a mouthful of air.
"I would get my information my way. Just you wait, Liu Xueyi."
For that day, she failed to get any helpful information out of him and left to her, the next was another day to try.
By morning the next day, Androda was shocked to get a text ssage from Gu Jun stating he wanted to have coffee with her.
Just staring at her phone screen, Androda felt a sense of relief wash through her.
So many things had been happening to her these days and she did not know how she was going to get used to the feeling and control her emotions.
For one, she had not been that great at balancing her emotions and it got her every ti.
She wanted to be better at controlling her emotions but no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't.
'You're not trying enough.' Androda thought as she dropped her phone and went to get ready.
She was weakling to first chance call him and have them et up for coffee, however, she changed her mind and decided not to.
But knowing he would be worried if he did not hear from her, considering their friendship was one where even when your best friend was busy, a simple text must be sent to pacify the mind of the other person.
If that wasn't sent, the latter had every right to be worried and search you out.
Recalling such a fact, she rolled her eyes as she picked up her phone from the bed and placed a call to him.
Before the call got to ring properly, Gu Jun had already answered it to Androda's surprise.
"Hello, Androda, good morning," his charming voice resonated from the device.
"Jun!" she exclaid happily.
She thought she had braced herself up but hearing his voice was as calming as a nice bath.
"How are you?"
"Good. You?"
"Okay. What's up?"
"Nothing."
"Okay. Ready for work already?"
"Not entirely."
"Alright then. Umm, I asked if you would like to…"
"Yes," Androda's eager voice quickly answered.
"Haha, seems like soone was waiting for to ask, right?"
"Stop being an all-knowing, dummy."
"Why won't I be? You are my best friend. It is okay because I know everything about you. Anyways, shall I pick you up?"
"No. Just et at our usual."
"Sure."
By the ti the call ended, the proud smile on Androda's face was one in a million.
****
Driving through the streets of the city on his way to work, Liu Xueyi sat crossed-legged on his seat while keeping his firm gaze on the road ahead.
To his side was another figure, seated with legs parted and a calm expression on his face.
Today he chose to go to work with Rong Bolin since the latter visited him quite early that morning, stating that he had an important discussion to talk about.
And due to the fact that he had an urgent eting, he rushed them to the company and hoped they would discuss it on the way.
However, until this point, Rong Bolin was doing nothing about that.
Liu Xueyi's shoulders slouched a bit as he released a deep sigh before airing out his thoughts while still keeping his gaze firm outside.
"Until when would you tell the details of what we are to discuss? I will be having a eting at 8 am or 8:15 latest, once I arrive at the company."
"I know. I have so much on my mind now," Rong Bolin confessed.
"And since when did you who is never afraid of anything now bothered about so much?" Liu Xueyi questioned as he peeled his gaze slowly from the window.
"I don't know. It is just that it seems a bit of trouble. You know."
Letting out an exasperated sigh, Rong Bolin shifted his attention to the side where his gaze remained fixated on his friend.
He could tell the latter had a lot on his mind as well, else he would have been disturbing him in a scarier way to get information out of him but no matter how hard he tried, things just weren't going the way he wanted.
"What is bothering you, Xueyi?" Bolin's calm voice interrogated.
Even at this point he kept his firm gaze outside and did not spare Bolin a glance as he answered his question.
"Nothing much, why?"
"You look troubled."
"Yeah. I wonder what that naughty Xu Fang is doing now."
Instantly, Rong Bolin's brows furrowed deeply at him. How in the world would Xu Fang's thoughts be and what would be bothering Liu Xueyi?
He had sent him to Africa for punishnt but here he was being bothered?
The whole information seed more suspicious than he would have liked to ignore.
Just as he parted his lips to speak, from the corner of his eyes he saw Liu Xueyi squint suddenly and before he got the chance to question his actions, Liu Xueyi's order rang out in a firm cold voice.
"Stop the car."
"Yes sir," the driver acknowledged instantly and imdiately stepped on the brakes of the car while awaiting further instructions.
Regardless of the sudden action, Rong Bolin did not question anything. Instead, he moved a bit closer to the side and directed his gaze, following Liu Xueyi's line of sight.
Right outside from across the road, he noticed a lady chatting over coffee with a guy. But that wasn't what caught his attention most.
On closer look, his eyes widened when he noticed that the person there was none other than Androda.
Although from their seated position, there was nothing seeming suspicious about her pouting
But with the way she laughed so carefreely, he could tell her relationship with the guy was not the normal friendly state.
Peeling his gaze from the lovely duo, he brought his attention to Liu Xueyi. He watched as his friend's once slouched shoulders went back straight and his whole body beca tense.
A couple of minutes passed by and they remained in that state. No one saying anything but staring.
Nevertheless, judging from the way his breathing ragged and his expression darkened, Rong Bolin could easily pinpoint what the problem had been.
'Perhaps they are having a problem with their relationship.' He thought while still watching his friend's reaction.
'Sigh, this is why relationships tire out easily. I can't let my feelings be controlled by soone else. Nah. It is too much. I guess I have found my answer then.'
Finalizing his answer, he let out a deep breath before speaking. "Liu Xueyi…"
At the sa ti, the sound of Liu Xueyi's ringtone rang out, cutting short his words. Thankfully it managed to pull Liu Xueyi from his reverie and whatever jealous thoughts ran through his mind at the mont.
"Hmm…" Averting his gaze from the restaurant, he took out his phone from his pocket and checked the caller.
His eyes narrowed to his phone for a minute before he took the call and answered.
"Hello."
"Sir. Good morning. I am calling in regards to…"
"I know," Liu Xueyi cut in instantly. "I am well aware of the eting. I would be there in ten max."
"Got it, sir. I shall have it all set."
Without uttering another word, he ended the call and gave out another order. "Drive. Get to the company in 8 minutes max."
"Yes, sir," his driver answered with a nod.
