In his personal dinsion, Lawrence walks leisurely until he stops in front of a royal cup. If one stays in the place, it's possible to see a drop fall every so often and, before it hits the ground, disintegrate in the air. This is the magic artifact that generates mana.
He removes two magic artifacts from his storage ring and positions them next to it, all three have the sa function… to enrich the mana of his personal dinsion.
"Since no one trains in this place, the mana density has increased."
Any immortal could notice this, as every corner of the personal dinsion possesses abundant mana, much more than in the outside world.
"But it's still far from being considered a sacred land... Though, if my disciples ascended, they would be amazed by its concentration."
This thought arises as he looks towards the construction of his sect. This is the main base of his Path to Heaven Sect, away from the world, from all danger, and facilitating uninterrupted training.
Externally it looks finished, but its progress is uncertain. Only an expert would know the answer.
In the outside world, leaving three magic artifacts unprotected would be no different from asking for trouble, but not in this place. Lawrence walks alongside the workers and all of them bow as they see him, they all have their minds manipulated, it's impossible for greed to arise in their hearts.
He stops in front of a dwarf elf, Stoic Compass.
"This is less than what you promised."
"I know, and I apologize. So items appeared in the auction house..."
All the money earned at the Violet Twilight auction house is handed over to Stoic Compass. It pains his soul to know that this bottomless pit still knows no limits.
Stoic Compass exhales loudly, "Hah... It doesn't matter, the construction will finish sooner than planned. Six months at most."
Lawrence smiles happily upon hearing this, but quickly discovers from his look that this occurrence is not normal.
When he asks about it, he replies: "It's certainly strange. Normally there's so resistance when creating architecture with a , the materials fracture for no reason, incurring great losses, but... that didn't happen here."
In his previous experiences, Stoic Compass recounts that many tis it was the environnt that prevented the construction from finishing. As if soone wasn't happy and asked them to start over. It's hard to explain, it's as if... they were breaking a rule.
Only after countless attempts do they co up with the right formula.
"Under my command, no construction has failed, but without a doubt..." Stoic Compass places his hands on his hips and sighs proudly. "This is the most perfect of all. As long as you find a talented user of magic formations, you could easily overlay tens, if not hundreds of magic formations. You'll be able to cultivate immortals up to level 699 without needing many resources, but... you'll have to update them once they reach their target limit."
"I know, I'll count on you when the ti cos."
Lawrence walks away from the place with a smile on his face, belatedly Stoic Compass would understand the implication of his words.
'This guy... To what level does he plan to cultivate his disciples?'
After disappearing from the sight of the workers and Stoic Compass, Lawrence teleports in front of two intelligent beings.
"Hmph, get out of here. Ugly dummy!"
"What is this place? It feels strange, I feel dizzy."
While the first is the spirit Thyr, the second is the plant Silver Lily. Since these two goods could not be stored in his storage ring, he entered them into his personal dinsion before leaving the auction house.
Only after ensuring that no one was following him, was he the next to enter.
"Are you going to release ? Very well, but don't expect a reward. I have no money."
He releases Thyr, but before it can escape, Lawrence unleashes his aura.
"Eh? What?"
Both the plant and the spirit discover that the lord of this place is none other than the human in front of them. As long as they are in this place, he is like a God, he can decide their lives or deaths in a thought.
Thyr sets aside its rebelliousness and obediently floats in front of the human, with no intention of escaping. Lawrence smiles in response and allows it to sit on his hand.
"Communicate with the spirits, I want to know why they entered this place and why they still remain here."
"Hmph, aren't you afraid that I might hide? I'm good at hiding! If it weren't for those bullies bullying , I wouldn't have been caught!"
"You must know that I am the owner of this place and, unlike those miniature spirits, it won't be difficult to find a fat spirit."
"I'm not fat! Just a bit chubby!"
Thyr moves away grumbling and Lawrence waits patiently for its return while talking with the plant Silver Lily. He quickly reaches a conclusion.
'Talking to these two beings is no different from talking to a demonic beast, they have intelligence but no wisdom. They won't take on human form just because they can talk.'
Through it, he tried to acquire information about the Archaic Ruin from which they co, but unfortunately, before being sold their mory was erased. Whoever was the seller, he plans to return to the place to continue harvesting its riches.
Minutes later a red sphere approaches them.
"The spirits are happy to live here because there are no laws that limit them."
The words of Thyr puzzle Lawrence.
"What does that an?"
"I don't know."
Lawrence frowns at its response, Thyr hurries to develop its answer fearing for its life. "Before coming here I could feel that there was sothing that prevented from being free and doing what I wanted, but here that feeling disappeared, I feel free!"
This coincides with Lawrence's intuition, the mont he heard it talk about the laws he imdiately thought of the laws of the world. If his personal dinsion lacks the enforcent of the laws, the beings inside consequently feel free.
Like a jail without guards.
Whether this is good or bad, he doesn't know. What he does know is that he doesn't want his personal dinsion to generate a Will of Heaven or a Will of Nature, as long as he is the God of this place, he will be the balance.
"You can live in my dinsion, but I forbid you to leave. You will be the representative of the spirits, every three months you will inform what they have been doing."
"Will the beings of this place not harm ?"
"No, not unless a cat sees you."
Thyr cheerfully moves away from the place to explore the personal dinsion. If it rembers its job as an informant, no one knows.
Lawrence sighs and then turns his attention to the plant Silver Lily. After taking the pot in his hands, he creates a Dinsional Rift and descends to the Inferior Plane.
He soon finds Sky Petal and gives her the plant.
"Nobody gifts ! I'm not yours!"
The plant moves from side to side showing its anger.
"Where did you find it?"
After knowing its origin, Sky Petal thinks about sothing. "While it's true that it can talk, it feels much more comfortable not doing so. It conveys it intentions much faster and clearer than normal plants. If I'm not mistaken, you want..."
"Yes." He nods, "Assimilate the capabilities of that plant. If your plants could talk, we could use them as a communication artifact. Unlike a real one, we wouldn't run the risk of our conversations being leaked."
In this world, there are communication magic artifacts, but they are not secure for transmitting important information. Being incredibly complex magic artifacts, they are impossible to update and consequently, the defects that have been discovered over ti have not been fixed.
Nowadays, they are only used in enclosed spaces or to perform simple orders, because as long as the necessary resources are possessed, it is possible to spy on a conversation.
With the plants, there will be no such side effect, because only soone with the ability to talk to them will be able to decipher their content. Moreover, the prerequisite is that the plants want to say it, because if it's Sky Petal's plants, they will remain silent even if their leaves are torn off.
Sky Petal smiles cheerfully, "Okay, it won't be difficult."
Since she has had the plant Silver Lily in her hands, it has been calm, feeling comfortable being with her. It won't take long to be able to assimilate its capabilities.
Lawrence then proceeds to ntion what Thyr said, originally he didn't think she would have an answer, but after seeing her change of attitude, it's obvious she knows sothing.
"Speak."
She hesitates before saying: "I'm not sure and I don't know if this relates to the words of that spirit, but... the Green Wolves have been too friendly with , even if they are a subspecies with a lesser hatred for humans, such a thing shouldn't happen."
Lawrence's expression sharpens upon hearing this, because if he's right...
"Is there a law that forces demonic beasts to be enemies of humans?"
Slowly the landscape begins to take shape, but still, the opinion of a woman who rged her knowledge of the laws of the world with her own Way is still missing.
"Coldness Divine, I know you've been listening in secret. Do you know sothing?"
For a few seconds no one responds, but then a woman's voice erges from the mansion. "When you created your personal dinsion, the laws of the world converged to shape it. You can think of it as a newly born world, in that case, there is still no such thing as balance. If demonic beasts are born with the purpose of murdering humans, it ans that sothing requires it to be so. The question is, what will happen if this law is not fulfilled? What requires that humans and demonic beasts fight to the death for all eternity?"
When these questions arise, Lawrence can't help but rember certain words.
[Storm of the End.]
The last words of the qilin Disdainful Tempest.
For long monts silence is maintained, not until Coldness Divine sighs does the atmosphere soften.
"We are still nothing before the vastness of the world... Go with Serene Will, she has good news."
Lawrence returns to his usual expression, "I don't like surprises."
These won have given him so many surprises, that before arriving at the cri scene, he prefers to know the facts in advance and go prepared.
Coldness Divine clicks her tongue before saying...
"The Limitless Fruit has ripened, it can now be harvested."
