"Nice to et you, Caelum Chronos", Orion said with a grin, approving of the boy’s mindset.

"Nice to et you, young master," Caelum said back.

"Friends don’t call themselves young master, Caelum. You can call Orion." Orion said with a sigh while picking up the tray of food.

Caelum’s expression turned strange as though fighting with his inner demons.

"You look like you have a bad stomachache. If it affects you so much, you can continue with the young master." Orion said with a chuckle, handing the tray to Caelum.

"Thank you," Caelum said, relieved.

Caelum looked at the tray in his hand.

"Is there sothing wrong with the food?" Caelum asked.

"No, I don’t think so, I’m giving you because we aren’t eating here, I want to have my breakfast in the main hall, we can socialise there, I missed that yesterday," Orion said, walking out of the room.

"Um, young master, about that," Caelum said, rushing after him and closing the door behind.

"The food in the tray is yours, by the way, I’ll have your portion, I’m guessing you haven’t eaten yet," Orion said, walking down the hall.

"Oh, no, I haven’t eaten yet," Caelum replied.

"Perfect," Orion said.

"By the way, what would you have done if I actually turned out to be a pompous and abusive person? Would you still want to serve ?" Orion asked, an amused expression on his face.

"I would serve you with all my heart because it is my duty, and it is not my place to judge if you are worthy," Caelum said, recalling his father’s words.

Orion stopped and turned back to face him, "That opinion is half impressive and half concerning, Caelum, but it is yours." He said with a smile.

They soon got to the hall, and contrary to Orion’s expectations, it was empty.

The long dining table was filled with dishes, but no one was seated.

He checked the clock on the wall,

"I believe I heard the bell earlier, didn’t you?" Orion asked

"I did," Caelum replied.

"So, no one’s planning on having breakfast, or wait, didn’t-"

"No one attended dinner yesterday", Caelum said

"I was about to inform you, but you stepped out," Caelum confessed.

Orion just stood there with a confused expression.

His spatial senses alerted him to soone coming down the stairs.

He looked and noticed another silver-haired boy coming down, but this one was quite-

’Chubby, ’ Orion thought.

[Fat, he’s fat. Don’t sugarcoat it.]

He was about to chuckle, but he held himself,

The boy got down, looked at Orion and Caelum before averting his gaze. He was holding a tray, showing he’d already had his breakfast in his room.

Orion’s gaze followed him as the boy shyly manoeuvred his way into the serving area.

A few minutes later, the boy ca out with another tray full of food.

[That explains it]

The boy was about to walk past them.

"Excuse ," Orion called out.

He flinched at first before increasing his pace.

Orion was about to call the second ti, but the boy had already made it up the stairs.

"How is he so fast, and he could have just asked a maid to deliver it if he’s so shy," Orion muttered.

"Maybe he’s reluctant to interact with the maids, and he wasn’t expecting anybody to be here," Caelum said, giving his opinion.

"Him apart, not everyone is shy, why would they all be having breakfast alone?" Orion said, exasperated.

He just shook his head, looking at the wide table filled with dishes.

He sat down, picked a plate and served himself.

"Join , Caelum, let’s talk," Orion said, pointing to the seat beside him.

The two had their breakfast in relative calm, small talk flowing between; once in a while, they’d see a maid pass by carrying a tray of food.

Orion just ignored it; if they wished for solitude, it was their choice.

They finished their al and parted ways, to prepare and relax before eting back downstairs in an hour, all this not without Caelum asking for any way to assist every ten minutes, much to Orion’s distress.

An hour later, they both stood outside the dorm.

Orion with a resigned expression and Caelum with a convicted one.

They started walking to the transfer pillars.

"Do you have a plan to get closer to the seniors?" Caelum asked.

He had also received the advice from Alira, and Orion had briefed him on his and Seris’ thoughts.

"Not exactly, it’d have helped if we were in the sa dorm, but our best chance at relating with them would have to be the park", Orion stated.

They got to the pillar and warped to the park.

Unlike yesterday, Orion could see a lot more faces, not that many; they weren’t a lot in magnum 1, and obviously, most of the seniors hadn’t arrived yet.

Another notable thing was the diversity of hair colour, and that affird Orion’s guess of there being talent even among those of varied blood.

So were reading books, others were relating and catching up, and a few were exercising.

He couldn’t sense Seris around, and it wasn’t surprising; they had forgotten to set the ti to et up as a result of their excitent.

He singled out a pair of girls to approach, one with fiery red hair and the other with mild brown.

He picked them for two reasons.

One, because he had never spoken to another Chronos who wasn’t silver-haired, and two, because they were females and seed approachable, at least one had to be friendly.

Orion walked towards them, Caelum following close by.

He got in front of them, and both their gazes were imdiately drawn to him.

Now that he got a closer look, he noticed their already developing bust, not because he was a pervert but because he could observe the subtle way they tried to pronounce it.

This told him they were around 13-14, probably third or fourth years.

’Jackpot,’ he thought.
