Chapter 624: Shattered Eternal Night

"ROAR——"

The red dragon stepped forward and suddenly let out a sky-shaking roar, building up terrifying energy within its massive body.

Blinding golden radiance burst from the dragon crystal at his chest, ripping open a hole in the eternal night of Silver Heaven, while scorching heat waves swept out, turning the heavenly illusion all around to ash.

"You hypocrites who call yourselves champions of justice—" He spread his broad wings, glaring at Balachiel in the distance, murderous light shining in his lava-like eyes: "Only the purest power can make you realize that a new era has arrived!"

"BOOM——"

In an instant, with a deafening crack of bursting air, extre heat twisted the space all around, and a pillar of blinding white fire shot from the red dragon’s maw, ripping the pitch-black night apart.

This wasn’t so special breath weapon—just a casual test from Cassius.

But with an elental master’s explosive force and the red dragon’s overwhelming presence, even a casual breath attack now had more power than an ancient red dragon’s strongest blast.

Cassius now stood at the peak of the material world. Every move he made could unleash a natural disaster.

Wherever the white-hot fire pillar passed, the night of Silver Heaven was shredded, stars and angels conjured by heavenly power all obliterated by the shockwave.

"Careful!"

Seeing the breath coming straight at them, Walter’s face twisted in fear. He gripped his heavy Sun God shield, and a glowing shield emblazoned with the holy sun emblem appeared before everyone.

That was the Sun Shield!

"What terrifying breath!" Titus beat his wings, gathering all his strength to breathe out dragonfire and form a blazing barrier in the sky, but it couldn’t match his true body’s might.

It wasn’t that Cassius was slacking—he couldn’t risk being exposed. His avatar just didn’t have enough power, and besides, he was running two threads at once.

Walter and Titus’s combined defense was like tissue paper before that pillar of fire—easily pierced through.

Balachiel leveled his sword, stars glimring in his dark violet eyes: "In every age, justice and order are the eternal the!"

Heavenly power surged around him, gathering into a massive, star-studded shield to block the blast.

"BOOM!"

In an instant, the two clashing forces exploded, light of stars and fire colliding and sending shockwaves hundreds of ters away.

"Hahaha, Balachiel, you really are a worthy opponent!" Cassius laughed wildly, then snapped his still-smoking jaws shut and launched himself skyward with a beat of his wings.

As he took flight, Cassius used instant-casting to stack more than a dozen buffs on himself, dazzling magical light swirling across his scales.

Then his wings spread wide, and that fifty-ter body streaked through the sky at unbelievable speed, trailing fire in his wake.

"Tremble, hypocrites! Your extinction will mark the fall of the rotten old order on Feianso—and the beginning of a new one!"

With each slice of his wings, the red dragon’s voice thundered through the sky, making the whole world shake.

Walter glared up at the dragon and gritted his teeth: "How is he so fast?"

He raised his golden holy sword, and beams of sun-bright golden-red fla pierced the night and rained down from above.

"AWR—"

"Spawn of Tiamat!"

Titus roared, hurling several ninth-circle fire teors through the night toward the red dragon with unstoppable force.

In an instant, the two powerhouses’ attacks crisscrossed, flas that could wipe out whole towns streaking toward the red dragon.

Cassius hovered high above, looking down at the gold dragon with a mocking sneer: "Don’t you know—they used to call Lord of Fire?"

The red dragon threw his head back and roared, opening his abyssal jaws.

[Dragon’s Drain]

A fearso vortex of magic opened in the dragon’s maw, like a black hole sucking in everything, so powerful it even warped the Weave around it.

In an instant, Walter’s summoned sunfire and Titus’s falling teors were sucked straight into the dragon’s mouth and absorbed as energy.

Under everyone’s stunned gaze, Cassius licked his lips, clearly unsatisfied: "Still not full yet."

"You—" Titus snarled, his golden draconic face twisting in rage.

Walter also swung his sword, shouting, "Arrogant fool!"

Balachiel looked up at the red dragon in the sky and said coldly, "This is Silver Heaven—the grave of sinners. You won’t run wild here!"

He raised his shining silver sword, its engraved blade bursting with arcs of lightning.

The eternal night above seethed with rolling black clouds, flashes of lightning slithering through like giant serpents, filled with deadly threat.

[Heavenly Lightning]

Balachiel drew on the full power of Mount Celestia and poured it into his sword—a pillar of lightning shot skyward.

Instantly, the pent-up thunder crashed down, terrifying bolts ters thick striking toward the red dragon, splitting the night as if God himself was hurling judgnt.

"BOOM!"

The thunder rolled in late, shattering the world—so loud it knocked soldiers unconscious on the ground below.

"ROAR——"

But Cassius showed no fear, howling again. His will twisted reality, and a hideous dragon’s maw and swirling spell vortexes appeared above his head to intercept the lightning.

[Great Dragon’s Spell Plunder]

"Zzzzt zzzzt zzzzt——"

The thunder exploded, but Cassius actually stole the lightning with his spell. His scales flickered with arcs of power, and the Storm King’s Eye kept flashing.

He’d done it again—swallowing heaven’s lightning right on the spot!

"Elental lightning, order magic akin to divinity, mixed with a bit of Celestia’s source..."

Cassius licked his lips, savoring the lightning still crackling in his jaws.

This bolt was the strongest yet—far more terrifying than the Storm King’s Eye. If not for his spell’s absorption, Cassius couldn’t have taken it head-on without injury.

Balachiel looked a bit surprised, but stayed cold: "Greedy red dragon, if you love devouring spells—taste heaven’s wrath!"

He poured all of Celestia’s power into his sword, commanding the night sky with its endless storm.

Now, the Silver Heaven’s master revealed his full might at last!

The night sky blazed with thunder, turning night into day. Bolts of lightning rained down, again and again, as if the whole world was howling in fury.

"BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!"

Even Cassius couldn’t eat all that lightning.

Seeing this, the red dragon didn’t hesitate—he beat his wings, and with monstrous speed from his dragon’s agility, acceleration, and aerial maneuvering spells, darted through the barrage like a ghost.

"Kill him, Lord Balachiel!" Walter gripped his sword and shouted, excited.

He couldn’t join the attack, but just seeing that wretched dragon being hunted down was satisfaction enough.

"Truly worthy of ruling Lucia!" Titus also exclaid sincerely.

Cassius, watching through Titus’s eyes, secretly observed Balachiel’s every move, looking for a flaw.

Balachiel held his silver sword high, blazing with lightning, his voice ringing out: "Greedy red dragon—tremble beneath heaven’s wrath! You will et the invader’s end—death!"

"BOOM!"

The thunder kept rolling, lightning storm never-ending. Cassius had to keep moving, never stopping for an instant.

But during all this, Cassius finally found his enemy’s weakness.

Balachiel was drawing on the power of Celestia, conjuring storm after storm—as long as Silver Heaven Lucia’s domain held, he had endless energy. Just like Cassius in his own domain.

To turn the tide, Cassius had to smash Silver Heaven and destroy Balachiel’s ho field advantage.

With that in mind, Cassius spread his wings, and the [Bahamut’s Wind] above his head shone, releasing silver light in a do-shaped barrier.

The divine order’s power blocked the thunder for a mont, giving the red dragon a rare chance to breathe.

Feeling the lightning power surging within, Cassius looked down at Balachiel and bared a savage grin: "Not bad, all this lightning... Guess I’ll give it all back!"

The red dragon slamd his wings, raising a storm mixed with endless lightning.

But that wasn’t all—he opened his mouth and breathed out black-red chaos breath, infusing the storm with the essence of chaos.

Lightning and fla collided wildly in the storm, rging into a force of pure destruction.

This wasn’t just [Vengeance Storm]—it was Cassius’s ultimate creation: [Annihilation Storm], its power long since beyond ninth-circle limits!

Balachiel looked up, the first hint of shock in his calm eyes, followed by uncontainable fury.

"Red dragon, I underestimated you—you dare to touch chaos’s source?! Do you even grasp what that ans?!"

Facing a storm of lightning and fla, even Balachiel had to be cautious. Luckily, within Silver Heaven’s realm, he had nearly limitless strength.

Balachiel beat his wings and sounded his silver horn, unleashing a flood of silver-white radiance like the stars.

[Order Bastion]

The silver radiance circled his allies, forming perfectly shaped walls in midair—an impregnable, orderly fortress of shining silver.

The bastion, a projection of Balachiel’s heavenly temple, could block any chaos.

"Whoosh—"

Wind howled, lightning cracked, and fire burst. Beneath the apocalyptic storm, everything was destroyed—only the Order Bastion remained, its silvery light neutralizing the outside chaos.

At that mont, Balachiel’s expression changed—he realized sothing was wrong.

He lowered the horn and said urgently, "No—his target isn’t us, it’s my heavenly domain!"

But by now, nothing could be done. Seeing his aim exposed, Cassius beca even more reckless.

"Rember— No one can stop the Empire’s advance—or stand in my way!"

With the red dragon’s wildest roar, the storm grew, swallowing the sky, magical power inside growing ever more violent.

The powers of true dragon sorcerer and elental master, the might of his Karrikex bloodline—all of it was unleashed at once.

The hurricane tore up the flowers and grass shining in the Silver Heaven domain without rcy.

The dark-red chaos fire swallowed stars and moon, angels scread and vanished, and distant temples and fortresses were wiped away.

Thunder smashed the thick, ordered ground and the majestic holy mountain, shredding the eternal night to pieces.

Everything was being destroyed, everything was collapsing—the world Balachiel had created was howling in agony, even shaking the true Mount Celestia in the outer planes.

Soldiers on the ground looked up once more. The night that covered the sky was shattered! The miraculous Silver Heaven had collapsed!

Under a thousand upturned gazes, the massive red dragon tore through the sky, sunlight flooding back to the land.

"No one can stop !"

Cassius roared with savage might: "If hell stands in my way, I’ll break it and send it to the abyss. If Mount Celestia blocks , I’ll smash it, and heaven will fall to earth!"

The storm of lightning and fire filled the sky. Inside the Order Bastion, Balachiel, Walter, and Titus all wore grim faces.

The Empire’s soldiers bowed in worship, awestruck by the Ember Emperor’s might. Even many coalition soldiers dropped their weapons, kneeling and praying.

—Because the red dragon tearing open the night and bringing back the light looked just like their idea of Ammanata’s avatar.

Archmage Zaran looked up at the awe-inspiring sight, despair in his eyes: "O gods... what kind of being are we even fighting?"
