From the mont Xiran had called Rivan, he was extrely restless. He called back multiple tis so he could talk so sense into him, but Xiran refused to answer his call and then switched off his phone.
Rivan called everyone and told them to gather at his house. They needed to know. Frila, Rumail, Irlana, Zirius and Elrine, all arrived one after the other and gathered in his guest room.
Everyone was a bit astonished at being gathered so suddenly by Rivan, the look on his face and his grim voice on the phone told them it was sothing serious.
"I am regretting to say this but you all need to know so I will just get to the point. Phantom has captured Aselia and we don’t know if Yurain has survived the attack he carried out on their ho," ladies drew in sharp breaths while boys were shocked. Frila was shocked beyond belief.
"How? We thought she was safe with Yurian and well hidden," Zirius was the first one to speak and Frila’s heart clenched at his na, tears welled up in her eyes. Rumail clenched his hands in annoyance. He knew after everything Xiran and Aselia had been through, they deserved happiness, not this.
"I don’t know the details, Xiran only told this and he has gone after his father to get Aselia back. The point of this eting is to be prepared for all kinds of scenarios. They might not...," Rivan couldn’t say the next words, the ache in his heart intensified.
"Oh! Brother Xiran. This can’t be happening," Irlana sobbed while her mother comforted her and rubbed her shoulder.
"Elrine, you are in charge of the orphanage in his absence. Please ensure no harm cos to the kids, I will tighten the security, let know if you need anything," Rivan began giving instructions.
"Don’t worry, I will handle that," Elrine replied calmly as she comforted a crying Irlana.
"Rumail, you are in charge of the businesses. You know what to do in his absence," and Rumail nodded his head in silence. Too angry to speak.
"Zirius! You are responsible for security. Keep in touch with Warise and Mazitine. There shouldn’t be a breach in the city."
"Understood," he grimly replied. His mind swirled with how he had found his girlfriend and a shudder went down his spine. He knew Xiran wouldn’t survive if sothing similar was to happen to Aselia.
"Irlana, you will watch The Company in my absence," Rivan finally diverted his attention toward her and she lifted her head to stare at him with teary eyes. Her heart in shambles.
She sniffled and asked:
"Where are you going?"
"I am going after Xiran. I need to be there for him and we need to be strong, only then we can do these tasks in his absence. We can’t crumble, we need to be their support," Rivan kept his eyes on Irlana and she slightly shook her head before wiping the tears and Rivan gave her an appreciative look.
"I would like to go to Lahoire," Frila finally spoke up, her voice shaking.
"Frila! We don’t know how the situation is there. And if he is even alive," Rivan glanced in her direction and Frila’s lips wobbled, she was barely holding herself together.
"Please! Señor, we have to."
"Alright, Frila. I will take you along, let establish contact," Rivan sighed.
"I will make contact as well and see what I can find," Zirius announced, being a hunter he had access to inside information.
"Yes! Zirius do that and inform whatever information cos your way."
The eting was dispersed but everyone sat there with their heads hanging low and not knowing what to do.
Frila was talking to Rumail: "Señor and Aselia deserve better."
"I know but my heart says this is the last ordeal in their relationship, he will bring her back," Rumail’s words dripped with determination as he rubbed Frila’s arm.
"There can’t be better news than that. I am worried about Yurian. I have tried his phone but there is no contact," tears flowed down her pink cheeks and she wiped them with the back of her hand as Rumail kept comforting her.
Zirius and Rumail left soon after to tend to their duties. Ladies remained behind as they discussed different aspects. Evening fell and Rivan was reminded of Silver.
He took out his phone and dialled his number, learning that he was in Lahoire and Yurian was alive eased his heart a bit. He planned to visit Lahoire with Frila and after ending the call told her to get ready, they would leave imdiately.
Frila left to make the necessary preparations.
He then turned his attention to Irlana.
"Can I speak to you in private?" she nodded her head and Elrine let her go. Irlana followed him to his room.
After shutting the door, Rivan gently turned her around and embraced her. She buried her face in his chest and cried softly. Her body trembled in his arms. He lovingly stroked her hair and whispered:
"Irlana, I will bring him back. Don’t cry, please."
"I can’t lose him, Rivan. And it pains my existence so much that father took the love of his life," she sobbed.
"Yes! He was always so afraid of this happening but it did. I am not going to let him face that monster alone. Have faith in ."
"I do, Rivan," she lifted her head and cupped his face, while he dipped his to slowly kiss every inch of her teary face.
"Thanks for trusting . You know, even in this situation he worried about you. He called and entrusted you to . That’s the kind of man your brother is," Rivan’s words caught her off guard and her heart welled up even more with love for him.
"He is indeed the ideal brother one can ever hope for. Go help him, Rivan. And I want both of you to co back to ," with these words she leaned in and claid his lips in a fervent kiss.
