Aselia’s POV
"Ok, I will take care of my health from now on." I finally blurted out, thank you brain for finally helping .
"Good girl," he pinched my nose like I was a 2-year-old. Seriously, I wanted to face-palm myself.
We ca out of the bathroom and his cell phone began to ring. He took it out of his pocket and answered it. His expression changed as he listened on.
"Right, keep updated." Whom was he talking to and what was the update about? He cut the call and placed another call to Frila asking her to co to his room.
"Aselia, go with Frila to your room and stay inside. I have so business to attend to. I will visit you later." He caressed my cheek with his knuckles, burning my already red cheeks with his touch.
"I am taking my cake with ." I declared.
"Of course," He smiled while I picked up the cake. Frila knocked, I opened the door and left with her.
Back in my room, I switched on the TV and placed the cake in front of and began to eat. Frila had locked the door from outside and left for the day. I tuned in to an action movie. It will keep distracted and my mind won’t go back to thinking about yesterday’s events. After finishing the movie and the cake I finally laid down in bed. I should have brushed my teeth after consuming all that sugar but I had no strength to get out of bed. mories of my parents ca flooding in as soon as I closed my eyes.

We were having lunch when he had barged into our house all those years ago. My mother had made pasta that day and it was still piping hot. I was watching the rising smoke from my bowl when the front door was thrust open. He stood there with his icy blue eyes and emotionless face.
"Who are you? What do you want?" My father had gotten up as my mother hid behind her. He smiled at us coldly before coming forward and grabbing my father by his hair. "Your blood," he chuckled and yanked his hair. We were peaceful people living on the peaceful continent of Treskilaya. Vampires had no jurisdiction here, so how had he barged into our house?
My mother turned to and said: "Listen to my baby doll, you have to run. Take the window of the backroom and run outside. Find help and don’t co back. I will co to get you. Go." I was too scared to move, tears rolled down my cheeks as the vampire plunged a big syringe into my father’s neck and he slumped onto the floor. He then moved to my mother and dragged her by clutching her legs, eyes filled with fear locked on . "Run away..." her screams filled my head as I tried to jerk the mory away, my eyes brimming with tears. My heart was wrapped in the pain, which never went away, always pinching and trying to drown .
The rest of the mory from that day was hazy or I must say missing. I didn’t rember how I escaped from that monster and ended up in an orphanage; which was on another continent. I went back to my house once I grew up. I had so distant relatives as well but none of them survived that fateful night. Our house had been demolished and a shopping mall had been constructed in its place. I was left with nothing from my past except the mories of my parents. I drifted off to slumberland with them occupying my thoughts.
The next morning I decided to visit Madam Marci to learn how to make fresh cranberry juice. I had to keep up my strength and I needed so activity. Frila ca and took with her. She had so urgent business to attend to so left in Madam Marci’s care with instructions to not leave the kitchen under any circumstances. Treia and Maxile were having their breakfast in the kitchen as well. Maxile waved at while Treia ignored my existence. I waved back at her. A month was up so Treia was finally allowed to co out of her room. She looked thinner and calr than usual. This kitchen was solely for Xiran, so we had easy access.
Madam Marci guided on how to make the juice. Treia got up and left only to return after 15 minutes. I had prepared my juice and was calmly sitting down enjoying it. Treia walked up to Madam Marci and said sothing in her ear. I was watching her like a hawk. I didn’t trust her. The phone rang and Madam Marci picked it up.
"Yes! Señor right away." She ended the call. She went to the fridge and took out a jug filled with red liquid, I knew well what that was. She placed it in a tray with two glasses and brought it to .
"Aselia dear! you need to take this to Señor in room number 23." She tried to hand the tray.
"What? Why ? Don’t you have other vampires to do that? Besides, that’s not his room." I scowled.
"That’s the order I received from him, he has a friend over who is staying in that room. Señor is with him." My thoughts went back to Rivan and rembered how Xiran had introduced to him. Also, Rivan drank from a glass and not directly from a person. So that must be it.
"Ok," I took the tray and headed out. It still felt strange that Xiran will call for like that. He never left unattended. I was wearing my beanie and a light blue shirt dress with buttons at the front. Reaching the desired room I found the door was open and a bit ajar. I pushed it further open with my foot and cleared my throat announcing my presence. The door was pulled open from the inside by a man, and I gasped he wasn’t Xiran or Rivan.
