By now Hildara understood she was no ordinary woman. She had been blessed by the gods and had been blessed with powers. Powers that lay dormant in her and mostly she didn’t understand them.
Rilias had gifted her a ruby bracelet as a gift for the birth of their daughter. The mont she wore it and touched the ruby with her index finger, it glowed as if emitting thousands of rays of light. It perplexed her and at the sa ti made her feel warm.
She wished for protection against anyone with ill intent. Hildara understood that so of her wishes did indeed co true so she hoped that her coming generations remained protected from this new threat she had unknowingly created.
Hildara had heard about the incident at the palace and although she was not close to her family, it still broke her heart. She prayed and prayed for the powers that had been transferred from her, to vanish, but seed like not all her prayers were ant to be heard.
Now Hildara feared for her daughter. She stared at the bundle of joy in her arms as she slept peacefully.
"What should we na her?" asked her husband as he gently stroked his wife’s hair.
"Suhana, and I hope she grows up to be strong and brave," Hildara whispered stroking her tiny cheek.
"She will be exactly like her mother. Resilient and fearless," Rilias kissed his wife’s head as both of them sat there quietly watching their daughter sleep.
Their happiness didn’t last long as they began to attract vampires due to their blood and Hildara feared for her daughter’s future. Rilias protected them but they knew the kingdom of Wilsburj was not safe anymore.
Vampires had also begun to realize if they would kill off all the elves there would be no more delicious blood left so they began to imprison them or make pacts with them. So vampires like Zohane and Amonidus sided and protected elves.
Elves began to leave Wilsburj and seek refuge in other kingdoms and cities. As much as Armaros wanted to eradicate them he couldn’t do it alone. He needed assistance, an army and unlimited power.
He decided to visit Hildara, she had provided them with powers once he was sure she would be able to do it again.
Hildara and Rilias were planning on what to do and where to go with their infant. Rilias had so family in Druhias, which had survived being massacred at the hands of humans. Nowhere was safe for their kind now.
They had packed all their essentials but before they could leave the front door knocked. Hildara peeked from the window and saw it was the sa young man who had visited her two months ago and had made her unleash those deadly powers.
He had been wronged by her family too and Hildara was sure he was the one who had killed her niece. Her heart jumped in her throat, she couldn’t let him see her daughter.
She rushed back to Rilias and lanted:
"My love you have to go and take Suhana with you. Keep her safe, I need to finish sothing here," taking off her ruby bracelet she placed it on her daughter before kissing her tiny forehead. Rilias was horrified at her suggestion.
"I can’t leave you here," he was agitated and the idea of leaving his wife behind was ludicrous to him.
"Rilias, trust . It’s bigger than you and . It’s about our daughter and the future of our world. You need to protect her at every cost and make sure this bracelet is passed down in our generations," the door began to bang loudly.
"Open up, I know you are in there. I just want to talk," Armaros’s voice ca out sharp.
"Please go, I love you," Hildara hugged her husband and daughter with teary eyes.
"I love you too. Stay alive, once I find a safe spot for our daughter. I will co to find you," Rilias hugged her back with a lanting heart and taking his daughter, escaped through the back door. Once he was gone, Hildara wiped her tears and threw the door open.
Armaros stood there with a aningful smile, his hands clasped behind as he casually asked:
"Can I co in? I know your family is gone and you are alone now," she threw him a distasteful look but stepped aside. He sauntered inside.
"What do you want? Haven’t you gotten what you were looking for? What else you want from now?" Hildara stood behind him with a frown on her face.
"You and I want the sa thing Hildara. To seek revenge on elves for the way they have treated us our entire lives. So isn’t it obvious, I want more powers," he turned around and faced her. A sneer crept up on his face, it sent chills across her body. Sothing was unnatural about this boy.
"I don’t want revenge. I just want to spend my life peacefully away from all this chaos," Hildara defiantly added, shaking her head.
"Then give all your powers and I will end the royal family as well just like I did mine," his words lacked any emotions, they were empty just like his eyes were. Hildara almost shouted back.
"You k...killed your family?" she stamred, her hand went to her mouth to stifle the shriek that wanted to escape her.
"Yes, and I am going to end all of the elven race as well. And you are going to help ," she couldn’t believe he would decide to go to such drastic asures. Although she had been wronged by her family she would never dream of killing them and condemning a whole race based on the actions of a few. It was preposterous.
"I am not like you. I have no plans of killing an entire race and nor will I let you do it," with that her eyes glowed and her voice changed as the following words were uttered:
"An elf from my bloodline,
With will of steel doth shine.
Who fear nought, who shall prevail,
In whose hands, your fate shall impale.
With special blood, she shall
steal your kin,
This elf shall end thy life therein."
