"Line up," Aselia’s voice echoed loud and clear in the training room. The hunters instantly obeyed.
"Choose your partners and start sparring," she instructed.
"Foxi, you are with ," she pointed to the girl who was left with no partner as all the boys paired up and started sparring.
The girl nad Foxi moved and ca to halt in front of Aselia, she nervously fidgeted in her spot and said:
"Go easy on , please," Aselia wickedly smiled at her words before speaking:
"There is nothing easy in the world of hunters. Train with and you will surpass them all," Aselia pointed with her eyes toward the boys and Foxi timidly smiled and began her session.
After two hours Aselia gave them a break, they were panting and gasping for breath while Aselia was as fresh as a morning flower.
She headed for her office. It had been almost two months since she had taken over and she had noticed Yurian avoided taking her on missions like they used to. She always had to fight him to go and he would always flip over in the na of safety.
She mostly oversaw the training of the hunters, office work and shortlisting candidates to beco the next hunters. But at tis Aselia would get tired of this monotonous routine and accompany Yurian on missions. He would only take her to the nearby ones.
Today she received a file from the headquarters about a recruit. He was a forr mber of an organization called ’OFA’ which had its roots in Eradius City. It was one of the best organizations in the world, where vampires and other creatures were trained and turned into warriors, special forces and assassins. The organization had different units and it was the reason Eradius City was considered the safest city in the world.
Rumour had it that organization was headed by the famous crown Prince Casmian aka ’The Fire Prince’. He had three other brothers, but being the eldest he was next in line for the succession of the throne of Eradius City.
The King had two wives, one was a vampire and the king had three sons with her, while the other queen’s heritage was unknown and so were her twins. A girl and a boy, their identities were kept secret from the public eye.
Aselia didn’t understand why a forr mber of OFA wanted to join Avarance. But headquarters had given him the green signal and Aselia was asked to adjust him here. Two of her hunters were being sent to other locations so she had an opening for him.
But she wanted to test him before allowing him to join their ranks. He was expected to arrive any ti soon now. Aselia was sitting checking out his file.
Her hand instinctively went to the place under her neck and she pressed it there as if touching sothing invisible.
Before she could ponder over her action, the sound of a Black Ninja ZX, heavy bike stopping at the gates of their facility distracted her. A man in a black outfit dismounted it and took off his helt.
After 5 minutes she heard a swift knock on her door. "Co in," she ordered.
One of her subordinates code-nad Blue Jay entered and told her the new guy was there.
"Send him in," Aselia nonchalantly told him and a guy who was almost Aselia’s age entered the room and seed to have filled it with his huge presence.
Standing at least six feet in height he had a fade cut which made his ebony hair stand out in middle but tapered at the sides. Aselia observed his eyes were as black as his hair, like an endless pit. A thick neck which had a tattoo of a jaguar’s mouth and disappeared under his leather black costu. She was sure it spread throughout his back.
His arms and chest were all ripped muscles, even more than Silver Wolf. His hands were in his pockets and a small smile played on his downward-turned lips.
"Good afternoon!" the man had a smooth voice and sothing told Aselia he was not an ordinary man. He was built more like a wrestler than a hunter.
"Good afternoon! Have a seat," Aselia pointed to the seat opposite her table and told Blue Jay to arrange for refreshnts. The man sauntered over on his tapered legs and settled down opposite her.
Aselia noticed both of his ears were pierced and he wore black studs in them. His hands were big and heavy while his fingers were lengthy.
"It’s a pleasure to finally et you, White Falcon," his pitch-black eyes held a glimr of warmth in them, they were not cold but mischievous.
’Finally? Why was he using the word finally? Did he know her from before?’ Aselia wondered.
"So, may I ask why you want to transfer here considering you are a forr mber of OFA?" Aselia ignored his smile and kept her professional face on. She had lived with n her entire life so had practically beco immune to them.
"Experience, I want to have a good resu. I have five years of OFA training and now I want a few years of hunter training as well," Aselia could sense his intense gaze had not left her face since he had walked in.
"And what makes you think you will be let in and beco one of us?" Aselia lowered her beanie so no part of her ears could poke out.
"I was green-lit by your headquarters so I thought..." he was cut off by Aselia.
"Let make sothing very clear Mr Blacki," the man almost chuckled at the nickna she had given him but he hid it and kept a straight face as she continued:
"This facility is under and only the people I approve can join our ranks here. You want to join us, you will have to prove yourself."
His smile spread at her words and reached those jet-black eyes of his. His hand went to his hair and after adjusting them he slyly asked:
"How will I do that?"
"You will have to spar with and score at least one point against . If you fail to do that, I will not permit you to join our ranks," she added with a hint of sarcasm and noticed the smile he wore never faded but it wasn’t condescending as most of her fellow hunters had for her. They underestimated her this man didn’t.
"It will not be an easy task but I will do my best," Aselia got up at his words and so did he.
"Follow then, let’s get it over with."
