From the mont Xiran had told Rivan that Aselia’s blood had healing properties, Rivan’s mind was in turmoil. He couldn’t help but think about the past. He had a bad feeling about it so he decided to run a background check on Aselia.

He used his resources and pulled all the information available on her:

Full Na: Aselia Elsaine

Born: Sumartia, Treskilaya

Age: 25 Years Old

Species: Elf

Occupation: Graphic Designer

Firm: Sbion International

Grew up: Hamian Orphanage.

He decided to check her workplace and the orphanage she grew up in. Everything checked out according to the information she had provided. The orphanage listed had all her previous records, including the ti she was dropped there by her relatives after her parents passed away in a car crash.

Elves were known for having close family relationships. They never abandoned their kind, he didn’t understand why her relatives would drop her off at an orphanage unless there was sothing he was missing. He decided to investigate it further.

He called the Hamian Orphanage but the story checked, they told him she had spent her childhood at the Orphanage but any further information about her was denied. They wouldn’t even allow him access to her file so he couldn’t see what she looked like as a child. He knew he had to use so other ans to get his hands on that file.

Rivan then called another Orphanage called Abinse, where he had dropped off a bunch of kids 18 years ago. He had kept a thorough record of those kids. Two of them had died, a girl and a boy. The girl had died 14 years ago, Orphanage inford him that she had fallen ill and died at the age of 10. He rembered how scared she was when they rescued her and dropped her off there.

Rivan now wanted to know the exact details involving her death. But it couldn’t be done on phone. He decided to visit The Orphanage and see what he could unearth.

He visited Abinse the next day and was greeted warmly by the Director of The Orphanage. This was a different man from the one he had dropped the kids with 18 years ago. He inquired about the kids since he was the one who had rescued them and dropped them here, he had full access to their files.

There were five kids, ranging in age from 5-9 years. Four were boys and only one was a girl. Two of them were already dead including the girl. The rest of the three boys had grown up and left the orphanage and were settled down in their new lives.

Rivan still requested the file of the girl and it was given to him. He opened the grey file and on the front page was a picture of a 6-year-old girl with turquoise eyes, golden hair, and pointed ears. She looked like a tiny version of Aselia. Rivan’s forehead furrowed seeing her picture.

He read the na below but he already rembered the na of the small girl for she had told him.

’Silah Harwaghes’

He rembered each and every detail of that wretched day, the way that tiny girl had held his hand and cried. Could it be possible? But no way, she was dead. Besides Female Elves usually had silver or golden hair and green shade eyes. It could be she looked like Aselia.

"Tell in detail how she died?" Rivan inquired from the director.

"Elves are fragile creatures, she was mostly ill because she missed her family. She caught pneumonia and although the doctor treated her, she couldn’t recover and succumbed to her illness." The director explained while Rivan listened with apprehension.

Rivan then took out his phone and took photos of the little girl’s picture and all the information available about her. He then thanked the director for his ti and left.

On his way back he called one of his special n and told him he needed a specific file from the orphanage called Hamian. The man told him it will take a few days, but he will get him the file. Rivan thanked him and cut the call. He then took out the picture of the little girl and stared at it for a long ti. Trying to make so sense of it, but he knew he had to wait a few days before getting so answers.

Aselia was super pissed at Xiran after the stunt he had tried to pull on her. It had been three days and she hadn’t seen him. Her head ached today and her legs were restless, it was noon and she hadn’t gotten off the bed all day.

Frila ca to check up on her and when she touched her, she was burning hot. Frila gasped.

"Aselia, you have a very high temperature. I will have to call Dr. Wanstine." She picked up a glass of water and made Aselia drink so. Aselia only mumbled and took a few sips before laying down and closing her eyes again.

Frila knew she had to inform Xiran and he will surely be pissed. So she first went to fetch Dr. Wanstine and told her about Aselia’s condition. Dr. Wanstine took a dical box with her and went to see Aselia.

Frila then went on to inform Xiran who had just returned from an important eting. She knocked at his door but he didn’t answer. She waited for a while before knocking again.

"Enter," his authoritative voice echoed from inside.

She slowly opened the door and entered his room, he was sitting on his chair and going through so papers.

"Señor..." she paused not knowing how to tell him.

"Yes, Frila. Is everything alright?" He glanced in her direction. His eyes held questions.

"It’s Aselia, she is sick." She blurted out. He sprang up from his seat dropping the papers on the floor.

"What happened? Why didn’t you tell before?" There was such urgency in his voice as he rushed to the door taking long strides and Frila followed him, hurriedly.

"I just found out, Señor. She has a fever. I have fetched Dr. Wanstine though." Frila quickly explained.

They were already on her door and Xiran pushed it open.
