Chapter 409: Planning a Charity

Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio

Wang Yao didn’t go ho. Pan Jun asked soone to cover his shift. He booked a restaurant and notified all the friends.

The sa friends ca to the restaurant. They all arrived early.

“Hi, Yao, I heard from Mingbao that you two took a trip to Qinzhou?” asked Wei Hai.

“Yes,” said Wang Yao, smiling.

He briefly told his friends about the situation of the village he and Wang Mingbao visited.

“Shall we make a donation?” Wei Hai imdiately thought about donation. In fact, he had made a donation to charity organizations such as Red Cross every year since he had that weird illness. He did it for his peace of mind.

“Yes, I think it is a good idea,” said Wang Yao.

“Hmmm, I will make a contribution,” said Wei Hai. His business had grown really big, and he no longer put money ahead of everything else due to his illness.

“I’ll make a contribution, too,” said Wang Mingbao.

Everyone at the dinner table agreed to make a donation.

It didn’t matter how much they were all going to contribute, as long as they wanted to help those poor villagers.

“So how are we going to do it?” asked Wei Hai.

“I’m not sure. I need to think about it,” said Wang Yao.

“Do you need to do it through an organization?” asked Wang Mingbao.

“You know what? We can create a charity fund ourselves,” suggested Wei Hai.

“That’s a good idea!” Wang Yao’s eyes brightened.

“I agree, we can created a charity specifically for people in need,” said Tian Yuantu.

“Great!” Everyone agreed.

They had made a decision on making a charity before the dishes and wines were even served.

“Do we need to register it with the governnt first?” asked Wang Yao.

“That’s simple. Leave it to ,” said Wei Hai.

He and Tian Yuantu were good at the administration side of things.

“So what should we call our charity fund?” asked Wang Yao.

“Compassion Charity Fund?” suggested Wang Mingbao.

“That na must have been taken already,” said Tian Yuantu.

“Nanshan?” said Wei Hai suddenly.

“Nanshan?” Wang Yao was dazed for a second.

“That’s a good idea,” said Wang Mingbao.

“I don’t think so.” Wang Yao didn’t agree.

The na was too obvious because he lived on Nanshan Hill.

All the nas they thought about were not suitable. While they were still thinking about the na of the fund, the staff of the restaurant started to serve the dishes.

“Let’s eat first,” suggested Wang Mingbao.

“Okay,” said Wang Yao.

It was not that easy to form a charity. They needed to register first, and then hire staff to both manage the fund and deal with any issues that arose. Only Tian Yuantu and Wei Hai had experience in business administration and managent. However, neither of them could devote all their ti and energy into managing the fund.

In the end, they still hadn’t co up with a suitable na by the ti they had a few glasses of wine and almost finished dinner.

“This is too complicated. How about each of us write down a na, then we all decide which one we should use?” suggested Li Maoshuang.

“That’s a good idea,” said Wang Mingbao.

Each of them wrote a na down on a piece of paper.

In the end, Wei Hai, Li Maoshuang and Tian Yuantu all wrote Nanshan on their piece of paper.

“No, we can’t use Nanshan.” Wang Yao shook his hand.

He wrote “Dream Start”, indicating starting a dream, but also didn’t sound right.

“Well, let’s make it Nanshan. You ca up with this idea, you live on Nanshan Hill, and you cured all of us. We should just na it the Nanshan Charity Fund,” said Wei Hai.

“I agree,” said Li Maoshuang.

Only Wang Yao was against the na Nanshan, but the minority had to follow to the majority.

Therefore, the na of the fund had been decided. As for whether it would be approved, no one was worried about it at this stage.

“I will ask about how to register the fund,” said Tian Yuantu.

They didn’t discuss about the registration fee .

Both Wei Hai and Tian Yuantu were billionaires. Wang Mingbao also had his own business and should be able to contribute over one million yuan. Wang Yao could contribute the sa amount. The registration wouldn’t cost too much comparably. The key point was how to manage the fund in the future.

By the ti Wang Yao arrived at his cottage on Nanshan Hill it had passed 8 pm.

I didn’t expect to achieve this much during my visit to Lianshan town center, thought Wang Yao.

If the charity fund could be run smoothly in the future, it would definitely help a lot of people.

A dot of light appeared on Nanshan Hill. It looked like a soybean from distance.

It was very windy on the hill, the trees were shaking in the wind.

Wang Yao was reading a dical book in the cottage.

Which herb could resolve thrombosis and improve blood flow?

He was looking for a suitable herb.

Licorice roots were wonderful, but he couldn’t completely rely on them.

He didn’t go to sleep until the middle of the night.

The next morning, Sun Zhengrong arrived at the clinic at about 9 am. He also brought a lot of gifts for Wang Yao’s parents.

“How co you’ve brought so many gifts again?” said Wang Yao.

“Just so small gifts,” said Sun Zhengrong with a smile.

“Please co in,” said Wang Yao.

There was a private room in Wang Yao’s clinic. He took Sun Yunsheng into the private room.

“Please take off your clothes,” said Wang Yao.

The therapy thod was the sa this ti. The only difference was that Wang Yao passed his own Qi to Sun Yunsheng as well as absorbing heat toxin from Sun Yunsheng’s body.

The whole therapy session went for about two and a half hours with a few breaks in the middle.

“I’ll give you a therapy session every three days,” said Wang Yao after he checked Sun Yunsheng over following the treatnt.

“Okay,” said Sun Zhengrong.

It was lunchti by the ti he finished. Wang Yao invited Sun Zhengrong and Sun Yunsheng to a small restaurant that was next door. He ordered so local delicacies.

“Hmmm, the food here tastes good,” said Sun Zhengrong.

“Yes. I normally take my friends here to eat,” said Wang Yao.

Sun Zhengrong then discussed with Wang Yao about the village in Qinzhou. His charity would invest in that village. He would arrange people to fix the roads for the villagers.

“By the way, I want to ask you sothing,” said Wang Yao.

He told Sun Zhengrong about his attempt to form a charity and asked so questions related to the registration and managent of the fund.

“You want to form a charity?” asked Sun Zhengrong.

“Not just myself, I’m doing it with so friends,” said Wang Yao.

“I’m actually not exactly sure about the process. Well, I can ask soone to co to help you. He knows everything about how to form a charity. You can ask him if you get stuck,” said Sun Zhengrong.

“Great! Thank you,” said Wang Yao.

One could find anything by chance after travelling far and wide for it.

Wang Yao had a nice lunch with Sun Zhengrong and Sun Yunsheng.

Sun Zhengrong and his son left after lunch.

Wang Yao also went ho.

“Yao!” called out Zhang Xiuying.

“Who was that Mr. Sun visiting us today? Why has he brought so much stuff?” asked Zhang Xiuying.

“He brought his son to see ,” said Wang Yao, smiling.

“He seems to be quite rich,” said Zhang Xiuying.

“Yes, very rich,” said Wang Yao.

“I see,” said Zhang Xiuying.

“Mom, don’t think so much of the gifts. His son has a weird condition which is very hard to treat. He just wants to thank for treating his son,” said Wang Yao.

“But you still shouldn’t take so much from him,” said Zhang Xiuying.

“I’ve told him not to bring gifts many tis,” said Wang Yao.

He didn’t return to Nanshan Hill imdiately. He stayed at ho for a while.

It started to get dark.

The village was very quiet in the evening.

...

anwhile, Bingzhou, which was thousands of miles away, was still a busy city.

Inside a luxurious house, a distorted face was showing on the clean window.

Long Yunfei looked ferocious. His problem got worse in the last few days. He was able to walk a few steps a few days ago. However, he couldn’t even stand up now, as if his legs no longer belonged to him. He was a doctor, so he knew what it ant to him. He was paralyzed. If nothing could be done to help him regain his mobility, he would have to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.

Why is this happening to ?!

He had thought about this question thousands of tis. The most likely cause was Wang Yao, but Wang Yao hadn’t given him a definitive answer.

“Dad, it’s ti for dinner,” called out his son.

“You guys eat first. I want to be alone for a while.” Long Yunfei shook his hand.

“Okay,” said his son.

Long Yunfei stared at the city through the window.

Ti slowly passed by.

Eventually he made a decision.

He wheeled himself to the table, picked up his mobile phone, found a number, then made the call.

“Hello?” Wang Yao was a bit surprised to see the number showing on his phone.

“Hello,” said Long Yunfei. “Dr. Wang.” Long Yunfei’s voice was hoarse and weak.

“Who am I speaking to?” asked Wang Yao.

“This is Long Yunfei calling,” said Long Yunfei.

“Oh, hello, Dr. Long,” said Wang Yao.

“I’m sorry, I made a terrible mistake,” said Long Yunfei.

No one could get those words out of the mouth of a very proud Dr. Long. Wang Yao could imagine how angry and upset Long Yunfei was at the mont. However, Long Yunfei couldn’t do anything about Wang Yao.

“Sorry, I don’t know what you are talking about,” said Wang Yao.

“I’m talking about the formula you gave . I will apologize in public for stealing your formula. As for the patent, I will give it up. Please send your bank account details so that I can transfer all the money earned by selling the formula to you.” Long Yunfei had surrendered, completely surrendered to Wang Yao.

“You could have acted differently. It didn’t have to co to this,” said Wang Yao.

When dealing with a cheeky person like Long Yunfei, Wang Yao could have suffered a loss without being able to telling the world of it if he hadn’t fought back.

Long Yunfei probably thought that he had the best attitude about the situation and had given Wang Yao his biggest compromise. After all, he was a senior officer of the health departnt of a province, while Wang Yao was just a common doctor. A lot of people in China thought this way. They thought they were superior to the rest of the population because they held a high position in the governnt. They felt entitled to do certain things and enjoyed the convenience their position brought to them. They thought they were supposed to benefit from their position.

However, Wang Yao didn’t think Long Yunfei’s apology was adequate.

Why should I let him off the hook so easily?! thought Wang Yao.

“The roads going there were no good.” It seed that Wang Yao said sothing completely irrelevant.

“What?!” Long Yunfei was dazed for a second.

But clever as he was, he imdiately got what Wang Yao ant.

Wang Yao wanted him to build a road for the village.

It would certainly cost a lot to build a road, and money was not the only concern. It would require the cooperation of the local governnt. It was really complicated.

Long Yunfei started to beco short of breath.

This was too much for him.

“I’ll give you so ti to consider it.” Wang Yao hung up the phone right away. He wouldn’t waste his ti waiting for Long Yunfei’s answer.

It was getting late.

Wang Yao went back to Nanshan Hill alone.

The wind on the hill was very cold.

Wang Yao sat in the yard looking up at the sky late at night.

“It should get cold,” said Wang Yao.

It was very windy overnight. The next day, the temperature dropped nearly 10 degrees. Winter was coming.

The wind was howling.

Wang Yao went up to the top of the hill early in the morning.

He look around. The leaves of the trees on the hills nearby had all dropped, except for several cypresses. Everything looked yellow and dark on the hills nearby. Nanshan Hill was an exception. All the trees on it were still green.

The sun ca out. Wang Yao practiced Chinese boxing and did breathing exercise for a while.

It was a beautiful day. The sun had co out and the air was full of youthful spirit.

Screech! Wang Yao heard a loud sound coming from the sky.

It was an eagle roaring overhead.

Wang Yao looked up and waved to Da Xia.
