Kael definitely had to get a sword and sothing good but not too distinctive, Elite grade if possible. Maybe so defensive artifacts, Pills for ergency healing. Perhaps materials for crafting or upgrading equipnt.

The auction invitation sat on his table. He picked it up and read it again.

Hour of the Monkey. That was late afternoon. Around five or six in the evening by modern reckoning.

He had ti.

Kael spent the next hour organizing his inventory, consolidating items. Separating what he might need quickly from long-term storage, making sure his most valuable possessions were secured properly.

When the sun began its descent toward the horizon, he stood, tucked the invitation inside his robes and made sure Abyssal Fang was properly hidden in his inventory rather than physically carried.

Then he left the inn one more ti. Heading toward the eastern district. Toward the Azure Sky Pavilion.

The eastern district changed as Kael walked deeper into the capital. The buildings grew taller, looking more elaborate. The streets beca wider and paved with smooth stone instead of packed dirt.

Soon, even normal people could see the inner capital's magnificence. The difference was stark and glaringly obvious.

Cultivators filled the air above, flying on swords or standing on artifacts. So rode on tad spirit beasts. The sky traffic was constant, a stream of powerful figures moving with purpose.

The steeds in the air increased dramatically, showcasing massive birds with colorful plumage, scaled creatures that looked like dragons but way smaller. One passed overhead close enough that Kael felt the powerful wind from its wings.

There was the occasional eye-catching sedan chair floating past, or elaborate carriages pulled by spirit beasts. Their sides were decorated with gold and jade. Symbols of noble houses marked each one.

Kael paused for a mont, taking it all in.

"This place is indeed worthy of being the capital of a near high-tier kingdom," he muttered.

The wealth on display was staggering. Even the street vendors here dressed better than rchants in outer districts. The guards wore actual armor instead of simple leather. The air itself felt different, denser with primal energy.

This was where real power lived in the i Kingdom.

Kael's footsteps didn't stop though. He resud walking toward his destination. His expression remained neutral and controlled. But inside, sothing burned.

Ever since he'd arrived in i Kingdom, he'd carried a knot in his heart. A constant pressure. The need to grow stronger and to return ho to Valoria Kingdom. To the people who mattered to him.

His friends, sister, and parents. The few he'd left behind.

The target was coming closer now, right in front of him. The Azure Sky Pavilion. Where the auction would be held.

They had resources that would push him forward. Weapons. Techniques. Everything he needed for the next stage.

Shua!

A carriage appeared suddenly from ahead. It moved fast, too fast. It was pulled by two magnificent flying beasts called Cloud Horses.

Their bodies were white as snow. Their manes seed to be made of actual clouds. They galloped through the air effortlessly.

The carriage headed straight toward Kael.

He stepped aside imdiately, not wanting any issues or wanting to deal with another cocky young master who thought the streets belonged to them.

People who traveled in such carriages were not simple figures. They were experts at Primal Master Realm at the very minimum. Usually at Primal Grandmaster Realm or higher. The kind of people who could crush him without effort if they wanted to.

Better to avoid them entirely.

Just as Kael was moving to go around, a clear and direct voice sounded from inside the carriage. Speaking to him specifically.

"Young Hero."

Kael stopped. His hand moved instinctively toward where Abyssal Fang would be. Then he rembered the weapon was in his inventory. Not used to walking around without his weapon, he forced himself to relax.

The voice continued. "According to our Azure Sky Pavilion's spies, the Clearstar Estate's Young Duke Daren has placed a warrant on you. Specifically in the areas surrounding the capital. So smaller clans have even co to an agreent to aid him in capturing you."

The window of the carriage lifted slowly. It revealed an elder wearing fine robes. His face was deeply wrinkled as age marked every feature. But his eyes were sharp and alert, missing nothing.

"I hope my letter was well received," the elder said.

Kael's eyes widened slightly. Recognition hit him imdiately.

"Greetings, Master Feng. Thanks for the invitation."

He bowed properly. Respectfully. This was the auction coordinator. The one who'd signed the invitation letter and was running tonight's event.

Kael was extrely surprised. He didn't think he would have any connection with the Azure Sky Pavilion. Certainly not one important enough for a personal visit like this.

But looking at the elder more carefully with his Enhanced Predator's Instinct, Kael's shock deepened.

The robed elder in front of him had reached the peak of Primal Grandmaster Realm. His cultivation was solidly refined. Decades or maybe centuries of advancent. This man would be unrivaled across the thousand kingdoms under the influence of the Aurelian Empire.

And shockingly, he was only the auction coordinator for the Azure Sky Pavilion. Just the person who ran sales events.

How powerful was the main pavilion? The headquarters beyond the Endless Plains? What kind of monsters worked there if soone this strong was just middle managent here?

Kael filed that question away for later.

"Thank you, Master Feng, for the warning," he said sincerely.

The elder's willingness to co in person spoke volus. To warn him personally. That ant the Azure Sky Pavilion valued his potential and his talent.

They'd probably witnessed his battle against the Clearstar guards and evaluated his worth, then decided he was soone worth protecting.

Or at least worth not letting fall into enemy hands.

Master Feng looked at him deeply. His gaze seed to pierce through Kael's disguise. Through his calm exterior, reading sothing underneath.

"Kael," the elder said. Using his na directly. "I'll give you a piece of advice. Do not leave the boundaries of the capital anyti soon."
