She thought about how she had said in the morning that she didn’t need his help, but by evening, she ended up calling him for assistance, and blushed slightly. After all, Joseph Grant’s appearance wasn’t sothing a college student like her could handle on her own.

"Uh, thank you," she said, lightly biting her lip.

"That’s it?"

She thought about treating him to a al or buying things at the supermarket as a thank-you gesture, which he had already talked about last ti, so she was too embarrassed to ntion it again.

He raised his hand slightly, "Co here."

So she obediently stood in front of him, and he reached out to embrace her, "What I want is not your thanks."

"Then what do you want?" she asked.

"What do you think?"

The two of them looked at each other, and Mabel Quinn only felt that the pair of phoenix eyes before her were, at this mont, like swirling mist, obscuring her view. What exactly did he want? He obviously didn’t love her, yet wanted to date her. Whenever sothing happened to her, he would go out of his way to find her, and when she was in trouble, he would help her.

She could feel everything he did for her, but just found it strange.

Could it be that the one ti in the underground parking lot made him feel so good that he forcibly kept her by his side and treated her well?

As soon as this thought crossed her mind, Mabel Quinn couldn’t help but laugh at herself. For a big figure like Kyle Kinston, he could have any woman he wanted, and as for their first ti, there was nothing pleasant about it. Besides, at that ti, he seed out of it, so to say Kyle Kinston was savoring that mory seed far-fetched.

"What are you thinking about?" His voice suddenly rang out.

"So now that Joseph Grant has been warned by his boss, could he possibly do sothing sneaky?" Mabel Quinn said, too embarrassed to say she had been thinking about why he did all these things for her.

"If he really tries anything sneaky again, then his position is as good as gone," Kyle Kinston replied nonchalantly.

Mabel Quinn was taken aback, "But he’s been in that position for many years, and seems to be highly valued by his boss? I heard his boss has quite a significant background."

"So what?" Kyle Kinston smiled, lightly brushing away the strands of hair hanging beside Mabel Quinn’s cheek. So things might be difficult for others, but for him, they’re just a matter of convenience.

Lyra Grant returned to work at Morningstar, enduring all her colleagues’ gossiping glances, but harboring a deep hatred for Mabel Quinn. If it weren’t for the fear of being seen as a guilty conscience and the fact that the film adaptation of "Sound of the Wind" would greatly benefit her future, she really wouldn’t want to work at Morningstar anymore.

The most infuriating thing was that her father had co ho yesterday with a stern face, warning her not to cause any more trouble for Mabel Quinn.

She couldn’t believe that her usually doting father intended to let this matter slide like that. Did it really an that she would have to watch Mabel Quinn beco the screenwriter for the film while she only held the title of the original author?

No, how could she be content with that? If word got out at school, she’d be utterly humiliated.

The internship period had already passed its midpoint, and they were supposed to return to school to submit their internship projects. Morningstar gave Lyra Grant and Mabel Quinn half a day off in the afternoon.

However, before even reaching the school, Lyra Grant encountered Mabel Quinn again. Lyra was about to get off the car to warn Mabel not to talk nonsense at school when she saw a car heading towards Mabel’s direction. Then, two burly n got out of the car and directly grabbed Mabel Quinn, forcing her into the vehicle.
