Was the unease he felt towards this man solely because he loved Mabel too? Or... was there sothing else?
His phoenix-like eyes darkened, and his hand holding the docunt involuntarily tightened slightly.
No matter whether Daniel still held feelings for Mabel, he wouldn’t let Mabel go to anyone else!

On Monday, Mabel Quinn took a taxi to the Corporation and first t with Sister Han. The afternoon eting was a significant one for the preliminary phase, with essential crew mbers, group leaders, the director, producer, and investors all attending.
Sister Han glanced at Mabel’s injured foot and asked, "How is your foot recovering?"
"It’s fine; I can slowly walk a bit now, but I can’t walk fast or run yet," Mabel replied.
"It takes a hundred days for bones and tendons to heal. It won’t be quick," Sister Han said with a smile. "But once filming officially starts, you’ll likely be busier. Take advantage of the downti to rest your foot. By the way, Atlas Shaw personally ca to audition for your script, which thrilled the director."
"Was the audition successful?" Mabel asked. Atlas didn’t ntion anything to her.
"Of course, with his acting skills, he can bring even those who can’t act into the storyline," Sister Han replied. "It seems that this drama could succeed even with a vase-like female lead."
"Have you decided on the female lead?" Mabel asked.
"There are a few candidates. We can discuss them when the ti cos," Sister Han answered, leaning toward Mabel as though sharing a secret. "Today, a handso guy is coming to the eting. You can enjoy the view."
"Handso guy?" Mabel asked, puzzled.
"Yes, in terms of looks, he’s comparable to Atlas, but he’s not a star; he’s..." Sister Han’s words were cut short as she was called by HR, temporarily ending her conversation with Mabel.
When the afternoon eting started, Mabel sat in one of the chairs, observing the drama’s representatives, Sister Han, the director, and others settling in. Sister Han hosted the eting as the producer, seated at the head spot. To her left sat the director and crew mbers, while representatives, HR, and finance sat on her right. What surprised Mabel was that the first seat to Sister Han’s right was still vacant, indicating the importance of whoever would fill it.
Could it be the handso guy Sister Han ntioned earlier?
As Mabel pondered this, the conference room door opened again, with staff leading the way. A tall figure followed the staff inside.
When she saw his face, she froze.
The handso, elegant face and those beautiful dark eyes were just as she rembered from the past. During the days when Alice was around, she heard about Daniel Harris from Alice’s mouth.
She learned that when she had an accident at sea, Daniel spent three months in W City searching for her, only to leave with disappointnt.
