Within the shimring barrier, a human, a pixie, and a serpent gazed up at the sun in the sky.

Looking at the sun, Lilianna couldn’t help but sigh with emotion.

“To think the sun itself would descend.”

With that, Lilianna opened her arms to the sky in a gesture as if to embrace the sun.

In ancient tis, this was the motion used by nations and cities that spontaneously worshipped the sun to praise it.

Irena tilted her head, then followed suit and mimicked the gesture.

The winged serpent watched their movents with curiosity, raising its head and spreading its wings to try and imitate them.

However, the position of its wings was not symtrical, and in the end, it was unable to copy the motion, causing Irena to cover her mouth and chuckle softly.

Watching this through their shared vision, ssr couldn’t help but shake his head.

At that mont, Irena looked up at the sun and asked Lilianna:

“Has it been a long ti since the sun appeared in the Lands Between?”

“It sounds like you know about Him, but no one seems to sing His praises anymore...”

“In my mory, it seems no one has ntioned Him since I was little.”

Hearing Irena’s confusion, Lilianna explained:

“It’s only natural that you don’t know.”

“In my mory, the sun was constantly moving away from the Lands Between.”

“From the earliest ancient era until just before I sealed myself away, the change was quite obvious.”

“As for now, I haven’t seen it in the Lands Between at all. I only ever found the soulless sun in the sky.”

“I suppose the sun has already vanished from your lives.”

Irena couldn’t help but ask:

“Then... what kind of deity is the sun?”

Lilianna answered without hesitation, the words tumbling out:

“The sun is, of course, a selfless, just, and benevolent deity.”

“A long, long ti ago, the sun was always shedding its light.”

“But there was one thing: He never got involved in the affairs of the Lands Between.”

“He never responded to anyone.”

“Even the Sun City, which once ruled over half the Lands Between in its pri, couldn’t communicate with Him.”

“He had no tasks for people to perform for Him, nor did He ever send down oracles.”

“People could only find the sun’s power through their own devout faith and the sunlight that fell upon them, which gave birth to a few incantations.”

Speaking of this, Lilianna scratched her head.

“Actually... we pixies also sought out the sun.”

“We hoped to borrow His power and forge it into a legacy, a trump card to resist the other outer gods.”

“Naturally, we failed too.”

Irena asked curiously:

“Why? Isn’t He a benevolent deity?”

Lilianna tilted her head and shrugged.

“Who knows what a deity is thinking?”

“But to Him, all these matters in the Lands Between are probably like petty squabbles.”

“Or perhaps, He is focused on a much more profound threat.”

Lilianna paused, then continued:

“Well, I can sort of understand it.”

“After all, if it’s not a threat He needs to deal with, then taking action would an interfering in the progress of the Lands Between.”

“Among the stars, He has so many worlds to illuminate. He probably wouldn’t ddle.”

Lilianna’s expression grew more and more serious as she spoke, because she had reached a conclusion:

“But now that He has intervened, it might an that the Lands Between is facing a threat that falls within His domain of responsibility.”

“...I’m not certain. Perhaps we should ask Bai Shi.”

Irena pursed her lips, a little troubled.

Honestly, she didn’t quite understand.

These matters were still too distant for her, and they weren’t things she needed to worry about.

“Um... let’s go join Sir Bai Shi and the others for now.”

Lilianna’s attention was imdiately diverted, and she began to flap her wings cheerfully.

“Okay, okay.”

“I want to get a closer look at the sun’s power, too.”

“A chance to witness it this closely is extrely rare!”

The Frenzied Fla in the valley had been completely eliminated, leaving only warm sunlight.

Irena and Lilianna walked out of the barrier and headed toward Bai Shi and the others.

Forget sealing the remnant body of the Lord of Frenzied Fla; not even a trace of him remained. There was nothing left for them to do.

But the matter was resolved perfectly, which was cause for celebration.

The winged serpent also twisted its half-ethereal body and followed along with them.

Although neither Irena nor Lilianna knew its origin, since it was behaving in a friendly manner, they paid it no mind.

By now, ssr had already withdrawn his consciousness, allowing the winged serpent to continue making contact on its own.

Creating an ethereal form was the winged serpent's own ability; sharing its sight with him was the limit.

As for speaking directly or communicating in other ways...

Unfortunately, the winged serpent that shared his life could communicate with him innately, so it had never needed to train such an ability.

ssr knew that even if he were there, he wouldn't be able to communicate effectively with lina and would only be anxious.

So, he simply transferred his consciousness back to his own body.

As for himself, he was now rushing toward their location and would arrive shortly.

Along the way, the soldiers only saw a streak of fire flash across the sky and fly off into the distance, amazed that Lord ssr was taking action personally.

Irena and Lilianna soon reached the place where Bai Shi and the others had fought.

Middla’s manor was now completely gone, along with the tangled, twisted love, hate, and sins within it.

Flying beside lina and Ashmi, Lilianna exclaid in amazent.

“Wow, what a huge change.”

“And to think he even gained complete control over the Frenzied Fla.”

“I never imagined the Frenzied Fla could look so stable and harmless.”

“Did the sun do this, too? How amazing!”

At this mont, Bai Shi's consciousness had not yet returned, and he remained floating in the air.

Space constantly warped around his arm, which was still wreathed in the burning Frenzied Fla, while his sun-like head quietly radiated a warm light.

Irena looked at Bai Shi, who was holding his pose in the air, completely motionless, and felt a little worried.

Bai Shi had maintained that stance ever since the battle ended and hadn't moved an inch, even after they had walked all the way over.

Irena couldn’t help asking:

“Sir Bai Shi... has he been like that this whole ti?”

“Did sothing happen?”

lina shook her head.

“I don’t know...”

“But since that deity has descended, perhaps they are communicating.”

lina then turned her gaze to the ethereal winged serpent beside Irena.

Seeing this unique serpent, lina was visibly startled; she felt a sense of familiarity.

It was as if deep within her mory, certain fragnts were slowly beginning to surface.

However, lina hadn’t rembered anything just yet.

She had told Bai Shi before that being reborn had unsealed a portion of her mories. It was only then that she learned she had a brother.

Although lina had no recollection of what her brother was like, she was certain she would recognize him the mont she saw him.

But... what was with this serpent?

She felt it was definitely related to her brother, but she couldn’t be sure.

Upon seeing lina, the winged serpent affectionately moved closer. Just as it used to do in the distant past, it nudged its head into lina’s hand, rubbing against her.

Seeing the winged serpent be so familiar, lina already had a guess in her heart.

So, she asked it softly:

“Um... do you know ?”

The winged serpent shook its head, its green pupils looking at lina.

Though lina couldn’t understand what it was trying to express, she inexplicably sensed a feeling of loss from its expressionless serpentine face.

lina waved her hand and said:

“You feel very familiar to , but so of my mories haven’t returned yet. I’m sorry.”

Just then, another disturbance ca from the sky.

Everyone looked up.

The source of the disturbance was the sun itself, hanging high above.

The sun was constantly contracting toward its center, its massive volu shrinking rapidly.

In a few monts, the sun hanging beneath the canopy of the sky had shrunk to one percent of its original size.

But its radiance did not diminish in the slightest; instead, it beca even more brilliant.

The gentle sunlight grew incredibly intense, turning into a pure orb of light that was impossible to look at directly.

Floating in the sky, Bai Shi’s consciousness returned to his body.

The miniature sun above his head rotated slowly, a sign that his thoughts were in turmoil.

Lifting his head to look at the ever-changing sun in the sky, Bai Shi realized his perspective was different from before.

Now, with a sun for a head, his vision was completely different.

Although it was still a 360-degree view, it was unlike that of the pixie eye.

No, this probably couldn’t even be called ‘sight’.

Everything in the surrounding space was illuminated by the miniature sun's light, appearing directly in his mind.

It was a bit like the global view in a real-ti strategy ga.

Bai Shi felt this was even more comfortable than the pixie eye.

By now, the sun in the sky had completed its transformation. It descended continuously, finally landing in Bai Shi’s palm.

Within the dazzling ball of light, a Great Rune slowly materialized.

This was once Radahn's Great Rune.

It had been burned out along with its master during the combat festival and was later used by Bai Shi to store the sun’s power.

And now, this Great Rune had also undergone a world-shaking transformation.

At this mont, the Great Rune was only a complete, perfect circle, with no other structures.

Around its outer edge, fiery waves like a solar corona had ford, making it look like the sun in ancient worship.

A Great Rune is a symbol of the power of a law.

When a Great Rune is used to form the Elden Ring, the law it carries is sublimated into the law of the entire Lands Between.

Right now, this Great Rune had been reforged and was now imbued with the law of the sun.

The Great Rune eventually floated to Bai Shi’s chest and slowly sank into his body.

As the ‘sun’ entered his body, the flesh in its path was scorched by its power.

Finally, it left a hollow sun brand on Bai Shi’s chest.

With the Great Rune inside him, Bai Shi imdiately felt a blazing heat spread through his body.

From now on, this would be his ‘heart’.

The blessing of the sun Bai Shi had once received only worked under sunlight.

The ti of day, whether it was day or night, would also affect it.

Of course, in a place like the Lands Between, the difference wasn’t particularly obvious.

But now that he possessed the law of the sun, this Great Rune would serve as a constant ‘sun’.

Bai Shi could now enjoy the full benefits of the sun’s blessing anyti, anywhere.

In addition to that, this Great Rune had other, very direct effects.

This Great Rune was like a true solar core, constantly generating energy and supplying it to Bai Shi's body.

Upon closer inspection, Bai Shi found that the energy produced by this core wasn't exceptionally large.

But he was still far from being a true sun, and his mass was nowhere near that of a celestial body.

Perhaps only when he beca the sun would he be able to fully activate an ability akin to nuclear fusion.

Bai Shi didn’t know what to call this current ability, but it was free, so he wasn’t going to be picky.

In any case, he probably wouldn’t be short on magic from now on.

With a head that was a miniature sun and a core that served as an energy source, the current Bai Shi was a monster in human skin.

A very terrifying monster, one that would be difficult to kill.

And a monster that could use cheats, no less.

However, looking at yet another brand on his body, Bai Shi suddenly found it a little amusing.

It seed the number of brands on his body had beco ridiculous.

The ancient dragon’s holy seal, Ranni’s moonlight mark, the spirit world’s thorn ring, Miquella’s faded mark...

And now, the newly acquired Frenzied Fla brand covering his arm and the sun brand on his chest...

He had originally thought not to miss out on any power, but now his upper body was nearly covered in brands and marks that looked like tattoos.

But soon, Bai Shi stopped paying attention to such minor details.

Because the sun in his palm was continuously releasing a terrifying amount of energy.

After its core, the Great Rune, had been removed, this power was gradually becoming unstable.

The only reason it hadn’t exploded yet was due to the sun’s personal intervention.

If possible, Bai Shi actually hoped to continue recovering and storing this power, saving it for next ti like before.

He was well aware of just how terrifying the power of the sun he had created was.

What had been stored in the Great Rune before was all the sun power generated in dozens of seconds under his infinite mana state, which he had released in one go.

Add in all sorts of buffs, and finally multiply it with the super damage multiplier.

The Great Rune would have absolutely been blown apart by such imnse power.

But if he could have saved even a tenth of it, Bai Shi could have steamrolled all enemies except for true gods like the Elden Beast.

Unfortunately, that was no longer possible.

After being reforged, the Great Rune was no longer a blank slate; it now bore a law.

Since it was occupied by a law, it couldn't be used to recover the remaining power as before.

To Bai Shi, a Great Rune possessing the law of the sun was far more useful than so leftover energy.

However, this power was not wasted either.

Under the sun’s control, the remaining power was gradually converted into pure energy and infused into Bai Shi’s body.

Runes were the energy of life. For the sun, converting it was no difficult task.

As the power flowed into him, Bai Shi's various attributes grew at a rapid pace.

One by one, the limits that constrained a living being were broken, until all the power was completely exhausted.

Now, all of Bai Shi's attributes had surpassed their limits.

This was the sun’s parting gift to Bai Shi.

From now on, until Bai Shi completely destroyed the soulless sun, He would not intervene again for a very long ti.
