Parents who blatantly ignore their son?

Now, that’s a story just waiting to spread like wildfire.

What if I blabbed about this to my parents?

Rumors might start circulating—like how the second son of this house might be an illegitimate child or sothing.

As I let my imagination run wild, one side of my lips curled up.

The one who finally stepped up to break this suffocating atmosphere was Go Yohan’s father. He was the only one who actually responded to Go Yohan’s words.

"Alright. Speak."

He forced a kind smile as he said it.

To an outsider, he might look like a doting father patiently waiting for his son to speak. But to —soone who knew the dynamics of this family—it was nothing more than an act.

At that expression, Go Yohan’s face crumbled.

His fingers dug into his palms before he brought them to his mouth. Crack. Crack. He started biting his nails. His broad shoulders sank lower and lower.

"I’ll eat later. By myself."

"…Huh? Why?"

I couldn’t understand his choice.

So I blurted out my thoughts without hiding my confusion.

Hearing that, Go Yohan turned his head toward , his pale face stiff. His arms, previously hidden beneath the table, were now visible. His white fingers, clearly outlined against his uniform pants, were trembling.

Go Yohan twisted his expression into sothing resembling a smile. It was an act—for his parents.

And seeing that expression filled with nothing but bitterness.

"I’m not really hungry."

The sa Go Yohan who ruled over the school.

The Go Yohan who crushed Han Junwoo under his heel.

The Go Yohan who enjoyed breaking friendships apart.

The one who bounced rubber balls in the classroom without a care, who threw bugs at students he didn’t like, who acted up in front of teachers just because he could—that Go Yohan.

Yet, here at ho, he was at the very bottom of the pyramid. Struggling.

Four people. Just four people.

One of whom was even younger than him.

And yet, they were more powerful than a thousand others combined.

A surge of unidentifiable emotion rushed up inside .

Go Yohan looked at . Then, he lowered his head.

His nearly 190 cm fra turned away toward the dark hallway.

Watching him confine himself like that pissed off.

Why?

Why did he have to live like this?

The version of him I knew—the one who thrived in the wild, in a world with no restraints—that was the real Go Yohan. The most captivating high schooler I had ever known.

And I wasn’t ready to see a castrated version of him.

Maybe—just maybe—I ca to this school to help him.

Maybe I grew up like this just to protect him.

Even my cruelty had its reasons.

Perhaps God loved him. Loved him enough to create for his sake.

As that ridiculous thought crossed my mind, I silently counted down the days to Go Yohan’s birthday.

He was younger than .

Yeah. Maybe that’s exactly why I was born first.

I exhaled quietly.

And I lied.

"You said you were hungry earlier."

The mont I spoke, Go Yohan whipped his head around like he’d been struck by lightning.

His pale face looked at in shock.

"H-Hey, when did I—?!"

"Just eat with us. Okay?"

Without waiting for an answer, I took long strides forward.

I grabbed Go Yohan’s wrist before he could slink back into the dark hallway. His large hand flinched.

I smiled at him as if nothing was wrong.

And then, still holding his hand, I dragged him toward the table.

The expressions of the three people watching this scene were absolutely priceless.

"Hey, didn’t you say you liked marinated crab? Your mom made it just for you. Lucky you."

"Yes, it’s for you. Co on, eat up."

Go Yohan’s mother, clearly flustered, raised her hand awkwardly.

Total bullshit.

I had no idea whether Go Yohan actually liked marinated crab.

I had barely ever eaten with him outside of school lunches, and there was no way they’d serve spicy crab in the cafeteria.

But I did vaguely recall that he didn’t like seafood.

He wouldn’t even touch broth made with shrimp.

I had caught him quietly picking out pieces of seafood while stealing glances at .

So how the hell did his own parents not know that?

I found the answer so infuriating that I mocked them.

"But there are only three sets of utensils. Where should I get another one?"

I feigned innocence.

Go Yohan’s mother—who seed a little soft-hearted—glanced at her husband anxiously.

Go Yohan’s father simply stared at .

His cold eyes—identical to Go Yohan’s—swept over .

I tensed, bracing myself.

"…"

Shit. Was I pushing too far?

I didn’t want them to catch onto my hostility.

Tricking adults—especially ones who had lived twice as long as —wasn’t easy.

And this was making more nervous than any other lie I had ever told.

My palms were damp with sweat.

The part of that was hiding behind Go Yohan’s mask felt like I had stepped into dangerous territory.

Should I back down now? Was this too reckless?

"Ah, my mother probably didn’t realize I was ho."

Go Yohan hurriedly tried to smooth things over.

"Yeah. I guess so."

His father responded indifferently, taking a sip of water.

"Oh… I see."

The clear glass reflected his cold stare as he lowered it.

And that stare landed on my hand.

I followed his gaze.

My fingers were still intertwined with Go Yohan’s.

Shit.

I yanked my hand away, startled.

Then, pretending nothing had happened, I shifted my body and looked elsewhere.

"Auntie, is it alright if I sit here?"

Between Go Yohan’s mother and his younger sister, I figured his sister would be the safer choice.

But the mont I sat next to Go Rosah, she shot a brief, disgusted glance before looking away.

"Sorry for intruding. You must be hungry."

****

By then, Go Rosah was silently chewing her food, staring blankly at the table.

Go Yohan’s mother, looking slightly embarrassed, forced a small smile and sat down.

The only person left watching was Go Yohan’s father.

"…"

Why the hell is he staring like that?

The tension was unbearable.

To avoid his gaze, I fidgeted with my feet, pretending to look around the kitchen.

Then, with nothing else to do, I started acting like I was looking for a cup or utensils—just for the sake of it.

Still standing awkwardly, I motioned for Go Yohan to sit down.

"Yohan, sit."

"…"

Go Yohan hesitated at my gesture.

Then, he locked eyes with .

But I couldn’t hold his gaze.

I was too afraid of his father’s piercing stare.

So I avoided his eyes.

And because of that, I didn’t see what expression he was making.

Perfect timing. Or maybe terrible timing.

A housekeeper, an older woman, entered from the kitchen carrying bowls of rice and utensils.

She placed one in front of .

Then, she hesitated, unsure where to place the last one.

For a brief mont, she was stuck.

And it was Go Yohan who finally broke the silence.

Slowly, he moved.

And pulled out the chair beside .

Why beside ?

His father sat in the middle.

His mother and sister were on either side.

Since I had taken the seat next to his sister, wouldn’t it make sense for him to sit next to his mother?

Why did he choose to sit next to instead?

It wasn’t exactly wrong, but it felt… off.

"…"

Only after Go Yohan sat down did the housekeeper place his rice bowl in front of him.

And the mont his mother passed him the marinated crab, the al finally began.

Go Rosah and his father ate in complete silence.

A stark contrast to the warm, happy family dinner I had once seen.

The only person smiling at this table now was his mother.

"It’s not much, but eat up. Yohan, you like this, don’t you?"

Go Yohan sat at the table, staring blankly at his white rice, with nothing but the bright red marinated crab in front of him. He quietly looked down at his al, then at the crab, before hesitantly picking up a piece with his chopsticks. After a brief mont of hesitation, he finally bit into it.

Between the cracked red shell, the pale flesh was exposed. His sharp canine teeth, dull and lifeless in his expression, crushed through the hard shell with a series of loud, deliberate snaps. He chewed through the soft, briny at, his face tightening in a subtle wince as he let out a quiet sigh. Then, his gaze flickered toward .

So, he really does hate seafood.

The deep crease between his brows imprinted itself into my mind like a stamp. That expression burned itself into my mory, compelling to act.

I reached for the bulgogi in the center of the table. Looking back, I have no idea why I did it. The way I piled the at onto my plate was practically barbaric. Forgetting myself for a mont, I let the juices drip freely as I dumped a large chunk of at onto Go Yohan’s rice bowl.

And when I looked up—every single gaze at the table was fixed on .

"……."

For a second, I thought, What the fuck did I just do?

I froze in place.

I rolled my eyes, searching for a way out, but I hadn’t really done anything wrong. So I just spoke honestly.

"Uh… Yohan didn’t really look like he wanted to eat that."

I muttered the words, embarrassed. Then, as if trying to justify myself, I turned to him and added,

"I an, it seed like you didn’t like it, so I just…"

Go Rosah arched a single eyebrow.

Was that an answer?

I awkwardly smiled, then turned away.

The al continued in an unbearable silence.

Go Rosah was the first to finish eating. Without a word, she left the dining room.

Next was Go Yohan’s father. He took a sip of his remaining water, eyes never leaving or Go Yohan.

Finally, when Go Yohan’s mother glanced at before standing up, his father rose as well and followed her out.

As he walked away, he threw out a single comnt.

"You’re really doing the most."

The words hit like a brick.

Because I was sitting right next to Go Yohan, I couldn’t even tell who he was addressing.

Had I screwed up?

I bit down on my lip in silence.

The dining room, now empty aside from us, felt eerily hollow.

Go Yohan had his head down on the table, absentmindedly poking at his food with his chopsticks.

His pace was slow today.

And the only one who waited for him to finish eating was .

When he finally lifted his head slightly, he looked at .

I t his gaze in return.

I’ll eat with you. I’ll wait.

I made my intention clear.

At that mont, I was a little arrogant.

Go Yohan, upon seeing my gesture, wore an expression as pale and frigid as ice.

"Sorry……."

No response.

Like a guilty party watching over their victim’s final monts, I waited until he finished his last bite before finally standing up.

Go Yohan followed in silence.

I was too lost in thought to even notice what kind of face he was making.

Because the only thing running through my mind was—

Was I too rude earlier?

"Doing the most"—he ant , didn’t he?

Do they think I’m so tactless idiot?

Shit. Why did I do that? Just to make sure Yohan ate?

Still wrapped in my thoughts, I pushed open the door to Go Yohan’s room.

I stood there, waiting until he stepped inside, his head still lowered.

Once he was in, I closed the door behind him.

It was my way of showing consideration—so kind of pity for him.

A kindness for the pathetic-looking Go Yohan.

Inside, his long bangs veiled his eyes.

His exposed collarbone and the downward tilt of his head caught my attention.

I swallowed hard.

Go Yohan’s body lines were always obscene.

Suppressing my desires, I leaned in.

"What's wrong?"

"……."

"Are you upset because of your dad? Sorry, I was just—"

I spoke anxiously, waiting for his response.

As he lifted his head slightly, I saw it.

His eyes were red.

"……."

I lost my words.

Was he crying?

No tears had fallen, but the redness in his eyes told enough.

Go Yohan glared at with those unreadable, burning eyes—

Then, suddenly, his large hand gripped my shoulder and yanked forward.

"W-Wait. Yohan, what are you—ugh!"

The force dragged helplessly.

The soft mattress caught before it bounced slightly.

I instinctively tried to sit up, but Go Yohan’s weight pushed back down.

I struggled, trying to shove him away—until his hand touched my neck.

"What the hell are you—"

"Did you have fun?"

His voice ca low as his fingers pressed lightly around my throat.

The twisted curve of his lips barely masked the snarl beneath.

"Was it fun for you?"

"Wh-what are you—! Let—let go…!"

"Fuck. I asked, was it fun?!"

His shout crashed into like a tidal wave.

And just like that, I was drowning.

Drowning in the sheer force of his emotions, swallowed up by the suffocating depth of it.

His voice echoed in my head, reverberating like a sound trapped in a hollow cave.

His grip on my shoulders was so tight it hurt.

"I—I…"

"You enjoyed it, didn’t you? Watching fucking tremble in front of my father—seeing not know what the hell to do—that must’ve made you happy."

Why.

Why was he doing this?

I had only acted on impulse—out of frustration, because I hated the thought of him skipping dinner.

Had I been selfish?

Was my action really sothing worth getting this furious over?

A storm of guilt and resentnt churned in my chest.

"That’s not what I—"

The heat from his anger spread into his grip.

My throat burned beneath his hand.

I opened my mouth, but only silent gasps ca out.

Like a goldfish, helpless and dumb.

And Go Yohan, seeing my soundless struggle, finally exhaled.

His long breath was almost exasperated.

Slowly, he withdrew his hand from my throat.

His half-lidded eyes traced from head to toe.

"Who the fuck asked you to go that far?"

His words landed like a slap.

And my pride—my goddamn insufferable pride—imdiately reared its head.

Who the hell did he think he was talking to?

I gritted my teeth.

"It wasn’t fun."

"……."

Go Yohan lowered his head to look at properly.

I hesitated for a second.

He was stronger than .

And in this mont, his power mattered more than anything else.

Go Yohan’s anger was sothing to be wary of.

Trapped between his legs, pinned under his weight—his presence was overwhelming.

That’s why I explained myself.

Because I didn’t want him to hate .

"…I just did it for you. Because you looked pathetic."

"What?"

His brows furrowed deeply.

I shut my mouth imdiately.

Shit.

That was the wrong thing to say.

I needed another excuse.

Sothing more believable—sothing that would get out of this.

"You didn’t seem that upset… Ugh!"

If I could even speak, that is.

Go Yohan flipped my body over in an instant. I tried to get away, but his lower body pressed down on , making it impossible to move.

"Hey! What the hell are you doing!"

"Oh, right. I should’ve said that in front of my parents instead."

"Move. Hey. I said, move right now."

"You did whatever you wanted, so shouldn’t I get to do what I want at least once?"

"Hey… what did you just say?"

"I need compensation. Don’t you think?"

What the hell is he talking about?

A strange sense of dread crawled up my spine. It was that peculiar sensation, the kind that creeps in just before sothing terrible happens. I tried to twist my vision away from the blanket covering it, but the mont I moved my head, Go Yohan shoved it down. My entire face was forced into the sheets, leaving unable to do anything.

"Kuhhk. Khhk."

"You’re seriously, fuck, fuck… fuck!"

I couldn’t breathe properly. My airways were blocked. I swung my hands wildly, but nothing ca within reach. Only the soft blanket slipped through my fingers. My chest was stabbing from the lack of air, and I had to stop struggling. I had to talk Go Yohan down.

"Go… Go Yohan…!"

"…Goddamn it."

Hhh.

Before I could finish, Go Yohan buried his mouth into my neck and sucked in a breath.

"Hey, wait, mmpf, wait a second."

A wave of shock washed over . The tingling sensation spread up my throat, shooting through my veins like an electric current and shocking my brain. His rough hands, which had been pressing down on my shoulders, slid to grab my arms and waist.

For a mont, I was frozen, unable to comprehend the situation.

Then, as soon as I realized what had just happened, I let out a small scream.

"Hey, let go. Let go. Let g—ahhh!"

Sharp canines sank into my shoulder.

Go Yohan’s hand hooked onto my clothes, yanking them down like claws. At the sa ti, his other hand slipped under my shirt. A ticklish sensation brushed against my bare skin. In that instant, I clamped my mouth shut, swallowing my scream.

He’s lost his fucking mind.

Why?

Why the hell is this happening?

I threw every ounce of strength I had into escaping from under Go Yohan.

But he was a full head taller than —no, the biggest and strongest guy in the entire school. It was impossible to push him off. I pressed my palms against his legs, but it did nothing.

"Go Yohan… Ahh! Aaah! It hurts! Haahk!"

This ti, I grabbed his collar and yanked. It was pure desperation—a struggle to break free no matter what.

Rip. Riiip.

The sound of buttons tearing off filled the air.

Shit.

This wasn’t going to work.

All I managed to do was rip his clothes apart, while the pain burrowed deeper into my shoulder. The hand that had been fumbling over my bare skin suddenly grabbed my shirt and yanked it hard. Wrinkles creased into the white fabric.

I twisted my body desperately, trying to escape his grasp.

But Go Yohan pinned down, pressing further into the bed.

Once again, my breath was cut off.

"Hhk. Khhk!"

After tearing his teeth away from my shoulder, he bit down again, this ti along my exposed neck. The already stretched-out fabric of my shirt loosened further, revealing my skin to the open air.

I tried to take advantage of the small gaps that appeared when we moved, but every ti, Go Yohan caught before I could escape. His grip was rough, unrelenting.

And then—

His entire weight pressed down on .

The sheer pressure made my fingertips tremble.

There was no space left between us.

And then—

Sothing hard pressed against my back.

‘Isn’t Go Yohan the biggest guy in our class? No, wait, isn’t he the biggest in the whole school? What the fuck? Not his height—THAT. Go Yohan’s wife is gonna have to live at the OB-GYN. One round with him, and she’s guaranteed a wheelchair. Fuck. It’d be like giving birth twice.’

"Yo… Yohan."

Kim Minho’s crude joke flashed through my mind.

A sickening realization settled into my stomach.

I turned my head slightly, forcing myself to look at Go Yohan.

Our eyes didn’t et.

My entire body started trembling.

Why?

Why the hell am I feeling this against my back?

"Don’t… don’t do this."

But Go Yohan still wasn’t listening.

My mind went blank.

My vision flickered between the top of his head and the sheets beneath .

Deep inside, my instincts scread.

A red siren.

I grabbed onto whatever I could—blankets, pillows, anything within reach.

Go Yohan’s lips traced up my neck, teasing the back of my head.

Every ti I tried to hold onto sothing, he pried my hands off effortlessly, using just one of his own.

Nothing worked.

And then—

Heat welled up behind my eyes.

"You fucking bastard, I said—stop! I said stop! STOP!"

His lips brushed against my chin.

I slapped my hands over his face.

And with every last bit of strength I had, I shoved him.

Crack.

Sothing twisted.

His neck jerked to the side.

A gap.

A fucking gap—

I wasn’t completely useless yet.

I’m alive.

That was the first thing that crossed my mind.

The mont I saw my chance, I sprang up.

But my fear-drenched body had lost its balance.

Shit.

My foot twisted.

My vision tipped sideways.

I was falling.

Bracing for the inevitable impact, I clenched my eyes shut.

But instead of the hard floor—

I crashed into Go Yohan’s body.

"…Urgh!"

The mont I fell, Go Yohan flipped us over.

I only realized it after I collided with him.

The mont I heard his shallow groan, I shot up like lightning.

And then—hesitating, awkward—looked down at the tangle of limbs beneath .

Go Yohan was curled up, his back rounded in pain.

"Hey. Go Yohan."

Fucking idiot.

For a split second, I forgot.

I forgot what he just did to .

I forgot what the hell had almost just happened.

Instead—

I worried about him.
