The wind howled as Kaito stepped forward, the Shard of Eternity pulsing steadily in his palm, its eerie glow illuminating the path ahead.

The Threshold, the strange, ethereal realm between worlds, had begun to fade behind him. In its place, a new landscape stretched out—one that felt like it had been torn apart by so unimaginable force.

Before him, the Fissures of Ti yawned like vast, jagged scars in the very fabric of existence. These rifts were not just cracks in space—they were wounds, gaping holes that tore through the tiline itself.

The air shimred around the edges, distorting the view as if the very laws of reality were unsure of their place here. Each rift pulsed with an energy Kaito could feel deep within his chest—a hum that resonated with the beat of his heart.

Kaito Ren, you have entered the Fissures, the Guardian's voice echoed in his mind, its tone strangely distant now, like the last whisper of a dream.

You have chosen the path of no return. Here, in the Fissures, ti bends and breaks. The trials you face will test your very essence.

The weight of those words pressed down on him, but Kaito pushed it aside. He had made his choice.

He could feel the Shard of Eternity growing warr in his hand, almost as if reacting to the Fissures themselves. There was no turning back now.

The first rift before him shimred, its edges bleeding golden light that flickered and twisted like flas. Voices, faint but insistent, whispered from within the rift—voices that seed familiar, yet distant.

Kaito's breath hitched as he approached, his steps hesitant at first. The whispers grew louder, more insistent.

Kaito... they murmured, soft at first, then louder, repeating his na like a chant. Kaito... help ...

Without thinking, Kaito stepped closer, his eyes locked on the shimring golden light. His heart raced, his senses heightened as the air around him seed to crackle with energy.

The whispering voices filled his ears, drowning out all other sounds. He could hear desperation in their tones, the cries of people trapped within the rift, or was it just an illusion?

Suddenly, a figure materialized from the rift—a woman, her face distorted and ethereal, like a mirage that was both real and unreal at the sa ti. Her eyes locked onto Kaito's, her expression twisted with pain.

"Please... Kaito... you have to save ," she gasped, her voice trembling. "I was trapped here... lost in the Fissures... help please..."

Kaito's heart clenched. He wanted to reach out, to pull her from the rift and free her from whatever tornt she was enduring. But there was sothing that felt wrong.

The air around the rift seed to pulse with an unnatural energy, as though this woman, or whatever she was, was not truly there. Was she a trap? A test?

He stepped back, gripping the Shard of Eternity tightly, its warmth now a constant presence in his hand. He could feel its power, like a quiet heartbeat, urging him to continue. But was he ready for this? Was this his trial, or was the Fissure playing with his mind?

The woman's figure shimred again, distorting like a reflection on water. Her voice ca once more, this ti filled with desperation.

"You have to believe , Kaito... I'm not lying... please... save ..."

Kaito took a deep breath, forcing himself to focus. His instincts scread at him to ignore her. The voices, the pleading, it was all designed to trick him, to break him.

This was the first trial—the test of empathy, the trial that would force him to question his own sense of compassion.

"No." The word left Kaito's lips before he even realized it.

He turned away from the rift, though the woman's cries still echoed in his mind. His heart felt heavy, weighed down by the sorrow that had laced her words, but he had to move on. He couldn't allow himself to be swayed by illusions. He wasn't here to save anyone but himself.

As he continued forward, he could feel the rift's pull, a persistent tug at the edges of his soul, but he pushed it aside.

The Shard of Eternity glowed brighter in his hand as though confirming his decision. There was no ti to waste. He had more trials to face, and this was only the beginning.

The next rift ahead was different—this one crackled with electricity, a storm of energy that made Kaito's hair stand on end.

The air slled of ozone and the scent of sothing long forgotten.

As he stepped closer, the rift's shape began to distort, forming into a towering figure, enormous and imposing, its form made entirely of shifting shadows. Its eyes glowed with an eerie, golden light, and its voice ca like a roar that shook the very ground beneath Kaito's feet.

"Who dares to pass through the Fissures of Ti?" the figure demanded, its voice echoing through the air like thunder.

Kaito's pulse quickened. This was no illusion. This was real.

The shadowed figure stepped forward, its massive form closing in on Kaito. The Shard of Eternity in his hand began to vibrate with increasing intensity, responding to the power of the figure.

Kaito could feel its energy stirring deep within him, awakening sothing he hadn't fully understood before. The rift before him had transford into a challenge—a test of strength.

"You seek the Forgotten Ones, boy? Prove your worth!" the figure bellowed, its voice booming like a storm. "You will fight , and only then will you pass. If you fail, you will be lost to the Fissures forever!"

Kaito didn't hesitate. His hand shot to the hilt of his sword, but as his fingers closed around the handle, a strange discomfort washed over him. It was as if the sword—his most trusted weapon—was no longer enough to face this new enemy.

He had to adapt.

With a grim determination, Kaito focused on the shard in his hand. The energy it contained began to surge, flowing into his body, igniting sothing deep within.

He could feel his strength growing, his senses sharpening, and for the first ti, he felt the full weight of his soul being stretched, pulled, torn between worlds.

The figure roared again, its shadowy limbs extending like tendrils, reaching for him. Kaito's heart raced, but he didn't flinch. His feet moved with precision, his body reacting instinctively as the dark figure lunged toward him. He dodged to the side, barely evading its grasp.

"You are nothing but a child," the figure sneered, its voice dripping with contempt. "You cannot hope to defeat !"

Kaito's grip tightened on the Shard of Eternity. His body moved with a fluidity that felt foreign, but powerful—he was tapping into sothing greater. The energy of the shard was feeding him, pushing him to move faster, strike harder.

The figure lunged again, but this ti, Kaito was ready. He stepped forward, closing the gap between them, and with a swift, decisive movent, he cut through the shadows with a strike of his sword.

The figure shrieked, the shadows recoiling as if in pain, but it didn't dissipate. Instead, it laughed—a low, rumbling sound that made Kaito's blood run cold.

"You are stronger than I thought, boy. But it's not enough. You will need more to defeat ."

And then, just as suddenly as it had appeared, the figure began to disintegrate, its form breaking apart into a cloud of black mist that swirled around Kaito, threatening to suffocate him.

He took a deep breath and stood his ground, his eyes glowing with fierce determination.

The trial of strength wasn't over yet, but Kaito had learned sothing crucial: he could not rely on his old self. He had to change, evolve, and tap into the unknown powers that were awakening within him.

With the figure's last roar fading into the mist, Kaito continued forward, the path ahead still unclear. But with each step, he was growing stronger, more attuned to the forces at play in the Fissures.

He had no choice but to move forward. The trials would only beco more difficult, more dangerous, but he would face them all. He had co this far. He would not let the Fates win.
