"Please take as your student!"
Ebony looked at the half-naked man kneeling with his head in the ground.
The man's tone switched up real quick. Without either of them getting the chance to reply.
Ebony was starting, ever so slowly, to think the way long-living species think. Despite the decrease in lifespan.
4 years flew by.
And it barely felt like he managed to do everything he wanted and needed.
The most urgent one, Kong Jing didn't need any saving. One of the 4th Gen Kong knew where Kong Jing was and opened a line of communication.
With his near-perfect mory, he still can't string together what Kong Jing rapid-fire rattling of curses. She escaped when the 4th Gen Kong that Ebony didn't know, see or hear opened the communication channel that allowed Kong Jing find a spatial route.
He wasn't quite sure how that worked.
In any case, Kong Jing was not physically hurt but she was impossible to communicate with. With enough fury and…sothing Ebony couldn't describe when his wife balanced the three of them that it flooded his outer mindspace more than Xin's combined Wrath.
So she left to cool off for…she hasn't co back or replied.
With that, he wanted to give the 4th Gen Kong a gift of gratitude, but he or she also disappeared after a quick goodbye. Unseen from the start. Nonetheless, these Kong Clan mbers sure liked moving about without explaining anything.
He recently heard that Kong Jing appeared back ho, at Sky's Edge. It took her over 3 years to catch up to their mobile island.
He told her he would lend a hand if a fight was required but she had taken whatever caught her personal. Very personal.
Cinderash or Gearhart didn't sit around for long. They officially joined the hubbub under a year ago.
They didn't openly or directly send anyone after him but Gearhart sent an entire city over. They were quite far away from him, closer to Tidal. With so many Emperors, heat-based weaponry and relatively advanced skills for their soldiers. The warring and warrior society wanted a large piece of the pie and took the Empire of Ebbing Waves seriously.
They parked themselves south of Tidal and targeted the 3 Great Farms multiple tis.
Ezekiel never showed up but they did send people. The Numbers parked them for return at Tidal. It's still ongoing but they weren't willing to buy back anyone so far.
The ho he had in Tidal didn't have enough space for Cinderashians anymore.
Many people have been released over ti. The amount of mana they made him use to freeze them was so low that their price was low and so of them had high enough mana regeneration to buy their freedom. It was also easier for them if the amount of mana he used to freeze them was decreasing as it got easier for him.
He wondered why they never sent Ezekiel, Mr Guru or any Emperors at all.
Ebony tried not to think about the repeated failures when he tried to go to Cinderash before they ca to him. The rchant who sold him a space shuttle said sothing went wrong and they lost the shuttle to pirates.
When he tried to warp as close as possible before taking a public ride, they were fully booked out for years. He posted an escort quest with an incredible reward but it was seen as a joke as he placed too high a reward and people thought it was a scam, according to Sophia.
One thing led to another.
He wondered why Five's journey across space was so smooth in comparison to his. That wasted months on the road. Unwilling to waste more, he returned to Elcra for training and hasn't left since.
Cinderash was very experienced with Worldcore scale invasion. They have multiple such fronts going on simultaneously. Since Elcra was Sectors away, they took a lot of ti to join the busy Worldcore yet easily kicked out the surrounding Kingdoms and Empires that built themselves near Tidal.
Not many forces could send a team of Emperors like they were grown on a tree.
Amongst so many freshly declared Kingdoms and Empires, Thunder Fossil Empire caught his eye. Rather, the one in charge did.
An Emperor who knew his limits, took a small territory and enforced his people to purely defend their claid land before doing any 'conquering' was out of the norm, all things considered. The rest of them who ca mostly wanted to fight for the best spots. Also because this Emperor was nearest to his house.
'Best' spots included areas where mana ore mines and other raw material mines or deposits could be found. Dungeons included.
The Thunder Fossil Empire went for fertile lands, good positioning against nearby forces and kept to themselves.
It felt like they could stick around without being challenged, so he got Sophia to extend trade offers and things worked out.
However, they constantly probed and asked for a eting with her superiors. Ebony didn't know how she conversed, but he made it clear that she was the boss and partner in this rchant business.
After literal years, he relented and told her she might as well bring them here after the insistence on eting higher-ups of their rchant group, Harvest Proliferation.
Ebony had changed his Priming routine to an extrely high intensity low duration training. In rely six hours, his routine can make his mana chassis muscles cry to the point of failure and force his life force and stamina regeneration to go into stasis.
His wife took so of his simulations but ultimately modified her own training according to instinct and foresight.
Six hour daily training plus another hour of sparring gave him plenty of ti the rest of the day for other activities.
His generic - Gardening skill had mutated into Leyline Sowing. Because of the mana within his Domain, plants generally don't survive even when he tries to protect them.
Using the Slyvarinth Dawnweave or the Elf's knowledge, he developed this Leyline Sowing to help plants germinate and survive.
Leyline Sowing – Ability to plant seeds in a precise, runic pattern aligned with natural mana currents. When properly complete, each seed reinforces the others through shared leyline flow, increasing collective plant life force, mana absorption efficiency, and growth stability by 2.5% per level when the full pattern is maintained.
The runic formula was his creation, but the knowledge of allowing seeds to share life force was from Dawnweave's books. The 'leylines' were Dusk's assistance to provide a flow of mana that was free from radiation.
However, as the seeds germinate and sprouts the effect from this skill goes away. During their seed phase, they would absorb enough of his mana to get used to it.
Ebony was already using 8th-generation seeds of various fruits, especially frost plums. All plants grew at an extre speed on a Legendary Worldcore. While this was his Domain, and he could push out the Worldcore's essence, he saw no reason to remove the fertility of the soil.
It was a bit of a pity but he uproots the plants once they fruit to get new generations of plants, then replaces the old ones.
His Domain was less than ten kilotres in radius, even smaller than the Thunder Fossil Empire. However, that was more than enough space for him to create so farmlands.
Each generation of seeds was slowly getting used to his mana. Sooner or later, they should be unaffected by his mana radiation and even benefit from it.
In terms of his combat skills, there was not much change in tiers. Only refinents and plenty of skill level ups.
Comparative power wise, his wife hasn't beaten him in combat.
With a nine-month gap, he pretty much left her in the dust. She had no clones to train her skills.
She wasn't even level 750 after 4 years. But that was pointless when he was feeding her the blood of many creatures every day. Her stats continued to grow without levelling.

They went on weekly dungeon tours so she had plenty of hunting opportunities.
She still needed a bit more before she could catch up to him whenever they were in his Domain.
Outside his Domain was a whole different story.
While he could still cast his Domain over himself, the Will of Dusk had already exceeded Ebony. Dusk now had greater Will capacity and regeneration than he did. It had more Unfading Will than Ebony's Will capacity.
Here, Ebony didn't even need to fight. Since she's in here, the atmosphere of liquid mana can flood her with more Corefla of Sequester than he could muster in an instant.
Farmwork was a side hobby, a pasti.
While his wife spent most of her days cooking, researching new recipes and honing her tastebuds he spent them studying and practising forging.
His ice conjurations of weapons were limited by his understanding of weapons.
More importantly, he needed to forge a pair of lung substitutes for himself. His bronchus had stub endings for a long ti. While he did tear them open to new conjured organs a few tis, he found that he could never be satisfied with them.
Conjured ice would not have a mana chassis. He cannot make new mana chassis to increase his regeneration.
As for food stores, that was an incredible waste of space in his body. Food wasn't very efficient as an energy source to begin with. Though eating Ancient ranked flesh and vegetation did help with that.
As for mana storage…it was semi-useful in so cases but so far he hadn't faced many opponents that made his mana regeneration less useful than capacity.
Dusk can still move around, at the speed of a supercar at best. Not exactly stationary, but it might as well be. So this staff of his was no longer a weapon he carries or even calls to him from a distance anymore.
Dusk could dissociate itself from the Domain for a short ti. Leaving the Unfading Will stuck in space and taking the staff body away but this causes Unfading Will to have no ho, it was susceptible to scatter or get corrupted.
He figured that this was not the function of his flexible Will. This was the function of the Divine Item, Dusk.
Anyway, as long as he was within the range of his Domain. He could use Dusk without touching it, making use of all its supporting functions. Another reason why Xin would have a tough ti beating him here.
Their ho and Xienor had been pulled apart by the residual essence overflow of the Worldcore's evolution. The expansion didn't stop imdiately.
Since they kept getting flooded with young and silly monsters to the point that it disturbed their nightti activities, he stopped having Dusk contain their mana leak.
After the saturated mana and Will within his Domain, they just let the excess leak out to the surroundings.
Within a year, the mana density around them skyrocketed. Changing a region a couple of thousand kilotres outside his Domain into a region of cold and arcane poisoning. The cold made the surroundings snow, sothing that his Domain regulates but not the Worldcore's atmosphere.
The atmosphere didn't hold liquid mana after all.
Fortunately, mana leak was only equivalent to his base mana density. It wasn't enough to cause physical warping instantly.
However, it was enough to give Masters mana poisoning on skin contact, breathing and if they touch this area with their ntal senses. If exposed to their mind, the standard reactions of overflowing Wisdom differential would occur.
Grandmasters can travel and withstand it for a few days. The cold was also easily dealt with since it was only negative 5 degrees celsius even on colder days. Nothing they can't deal with, and the right clothing would easily make the cold nothing to worry about.
The windy blizzard was his wife's doing and skill training. It wouldn't occur naturally and only when he casts her new spell. Supposedly filled with astral mana to disrupt divination?
He had no idea if it worked.
In general, only Kings and above can pretty much ignore the mana densities with their own overflowing Wisdom. Hence, only King-ranked and above monsters made these few thousand kilotres their ho.
For these visitors, he had to forge a bracelet that could block overflowing wisdom. Then, he just lazily imbued so Will that would allow Dusk to recognise the wearer to avoid treating them as hostiles.
Because Dusk had greater Will capacity than him, Ebony faced the sa problem his Numbers faced. When he imbued fresh Will and instructions, it didn't change Dusk that much. In percentile, it was harder to change Dusk's already instructed Will.
Just like how 1 of 32 clones was diluted to Ebony, his 100 points of Will were also a smaller percentage to Dusk.
Dusk only knew a few people's mana signatures and marked them as friendlies. Sophia was one of them.
It was still possible to add new ones of course, it just took a few more points of Will. Since he didn't know who was coming, he couldn't prepare it in advance and made them these bracelets instead.
Ebony's greatest forging accomplishnt in the past 4 years was the rings he wore on his arms. Each one used to be a gravity cube.
Thinking of one of the martial art styles that exist on Earth, the iron wire or iron thread fist was used as a base after he crafted these rings.
These gravity cubes that were 'impossible' to ld and modify had been a good challenge to forge anything out of them without breaking the weird construct that could vomit out lower quality versions of itself or combine into one when enough gather.
He used Hyperlucid Atelier as a literal forge instead of a battleforge to succeed after billions of failures. Gravity magic. Runic language. Heat. Cold. Ebony had been stumped on how to make these better and more mobile and also usable as a close combat weapon.
Their mass and gravity mana was exceedingly useful for him.
The end solution had been a hit of epiphany by his wife, a divination mage, a sword master and an emotion whisperer. He would've never co up with anything like this.
"Icicle's spirit never buds because you never treated it as a sword, and it doesn't either."
With that, he changed the entire premise of using magic or runes to forge sothing out of the gravity cubes and used icicle as the base for reforging in his simulations instead.
Now that his sword mastery had evolved and rged with his Sovereign Arts, he believed that he'd proven to himself and maybe even his mother that he didn't need 'talent' to be as good at sothing else as with his unard combat.
He no longer needed to be hellbent on proving himself with a sword.
What he needed was weight…mass.
His simulations and his reforging attempts were completely different. Hyperlucid Atelier didn't take into account the presence of a budding spirit.
While he had Xin's help lting the gravity cubes down and he held them gravitationally so they didn't split into smaller low-quality cubes, and then stabbed Icicle in. There was an additional influence, Icicle was there to redirect his plans.
Tossing away millions of his simulation results and planning.
Unexpectedly, his wife's latest Core Skill allowed emotional balancing and managed to connect with the unborn spirit.
He trusted that the spirit knew what it needed better than himself.
The entire forging experience had been extraordinary even for Xin who had an unborn sword spirit sending them emotions that it wasn't able to be born due to the form of its body mismatching the will of its user, Ebony.
Xin was unable to contain her emotions of unease when the spirit transmitted its desire to Ebony to hamr away. Breaking its sword form into pieces.
Ebony also didn't understand. He was going to lt the gravity cubes to coat the icicle, or pour it into the sword and use his mana to repair the Icicle as usual. Changing it into a heavy blunt weapon was one of his top choices.
Icicle would also keep its form so that it wouldn't shatter its spirit. It was, after all, born from a sword. If they shattered it completely, there was no chance the spirit would survive.
As a wooden weapon, it was capable of holding more life force than a tal one of the sa quality. However, dead wood was dead wood. Not exactly suitable for pumping vitality into.
Even if it could regenerate thanks to the properties of Ebony's mana that it had been feeding on since its creation, Icicle had limits that had him put the sword many tis in battle.
His ditation cald his wife down and they trusted Icicle to give itself form. His wife provided the firepower and solar mana while he restrained the gravity cube to aid Icicle.
Icicle had Ebony perform his Priming in the middle of forging, which was not easy when his mind was preoccupied by suppressing the gravity mana of 30 damned gravity cubes. He had to be carried into their training field to Pri himself.
The entire process lasted a week.
The couple was speechless when they saw a bundle of tiny cubes and a rigid stick they ended up with. "Uhm…you forged yourself into multiple cubes and a sword handle?" His wife asked while being drenched in sweat.
Her emotional balancing wasn't sothing she could use endlessly and it drew on Nun while being emotionally and ntally taxing on all parties.
Having had to Pri himself while ntally containing the gravity of what felt like continents of landmass, Ebony was just as exhausted if not more.
He weakly grabbed the handle with a wooden exterior. It should have so of the cube's tal inside. When he gripped it, the rest of the cubes floated and snapped into place like magnets.
It was sword shaped but there were more than two sharp ends. The small cubes are stacked up with even smaller gaps in between. A club, no, an iron bian but cubed.
"Looks great for bashing in heads." His wife comnted.
"A weapon breaker. I like it." Ebony saw that the small gaps were supposed to catch blades and snap them.
Perfect for positional precision that he liked. Beaming with mana as the runes ca alive from the tiny stream of mana leaking from him.
It was extrely heavy even when he used gravity magic to wield it. He wasn't sure if it was because the Priming of what felt like stars pulling his limbs weakened him, but it was a strain to even lift it.
That last thought had him drop the thing and the cubes demagnetised and went back to small cubes. It was much too troubleso to have Xin move it around so he wondered how to transport them without using ntal muscle that he didn't have then.
"What do I do with you…" He thought he might as well ask since the spirit was so much more responsive after the whole reforging process.
Then the cubes morphed into cuboids and snapped onto his arms and he couldn't even dodge.
"I think I love you." He arduously lifted both his arms to view the angular rings on him.
The sword handle remained as it was and easily fit in his robe's inner pocket like a wooden wand. The extra small cubes remained as they were, he used them as paperweights but carried them around since ten of these rings on each arm was already affecting his movents.
He had to deal with a very angry wife who never heard those words towards her. It took him a whole month to figure out why she was acting cold all of a sudden.
