"In or out?" Ebony considered his options and decided to get his wife's opinion.
"Out."
"Mmm."
Ebony dug a hole right outside of the Elven Domain's territory and placed Luna'Myrr in. His Physique and lunar augntation saved his body from being incinerated completely.
The burial was done in a minute.
"Uhm…did I cause trouble with this?" Xin already asked why he didn't seal Luna'Myrr to keep him alive.
His dilemma on where to bury the Elf was due to the implications.
If he buried it within the Elven Domain, it was hard to say if it was respectful or disrespectful to return him to their forest. Respectful they returned him, or disrespectful that they killed Luna'Myrr at their doorsteps.
Knowing the Elves and their social construct, this man was likely sent here as so form of delegate or support. Since he held so respect from the other Elves it was obvious he had a strong family.
Xin was worried about the unknown but it wouldn't have stopped her from killing him. She was more worried she brought about trouble that was beyond them.
They were no longer under the protection of the Nebula Watch against Saints.
The Luna'Myrr House was of unknown power.
Based on this Scion alone, who was only four to five hundred years old by Mana Discern, they weren't all that weak.
"No problem." Ebony brushed her worries aside, "How did you stun him briefly?"
"Balanced emotions, converted all my desires into sloth for an instant."
She copied the effect of his essence attack to stun targets by making them sleepy instead. She wasn't very slothful but if her gluttony and pride can be converted even at low efficiencies, the idea sounds like it would work.
And it did.
He supposed ntal-based magic was deep in Ning Clan's blood even if she never learned how to do it properly before. Not to ntion her foresight allows her to carry out more effective impromptu plans than he could.
They went on their way but no longer as leisurely.
Either no one chased them, or they couldn't catch up.
Their return trip was uncontested since they weren't taking their own sweet ti.
Ebony did not take Slyvarinth Dawnweave to Tidal but brought him ho instead. Placing the man at the edge of his tiny Domain, he conjured a scaled box that constantly burned a 1 point of Will every 300 hours for Preservation.
Recalling the transparent encasent One was in, he gave Slyvarinth Dawnweave a sight glass for the sky. Instead of standing up, he put the coffin-looking contraption he built lying down so the man could see the skies.
People sealed by Ebony should retain their awareness. Their bodily energy needs will be reduced to a minimum. They can technically fall asleep and wake up, and many of his frozen captives in Tidal found a way to sleep longer than usual even with their eyes kept open.
The cold temperatures might have made it easier for them to go into a state like hibernation.
"You're back." Uncle Wu yawned as he stood up from his outdoor fishing chair.
"Thank you for watching our house, Uncle Wu." His wife turned on her gentle mode which wasn't hard since Fisherman Wu was one of the only people who treated her well even before she got so respect back from the Ning Clan.
She eyed him curiously, 'do I sll jealousy?'
Ebony ignored the tease and her emotional balancing skill disconnected as he entered their ho. Dusk settled back within Spine.
'That Unfading Will Fortification might have been the way to go in the long run…' Dusk's growth rate was dependent on it.
While he didn't regret taking mana radiation, Unfading Will would've done more for his safety and strength in terms of survivability compared to mana radiation. Dusk would've grown twice as fast if not faster were the Fortification cheap enough to push beyond 100%.
'I'd better consider Unfading Will related Fortification next evolution and I'll push all fortifications to their limit which should be 500% increase excluding the 250% incrents.'
It was less of a waste than he presud. His Profession was all about Mana and taking on Will related Fortifications was Potentially cheaper for his Class than his Profession.
It was even worth considering making it his next 250% incrent type Fortification. He didn't have enough Potential to push Flas of Frost Synergy and Intensity with Will all the way from 250% to 1000% but he definitely had to push it to the limit by his next evolution.
The next might be his last for thousands of years if the rest of his Xeng seniors were a point of reference.
With that in mind, he definitely put himself on the noose by shortening his lifespan this much for the duration he can be a King. In his defense, he had no idea how much lifespan he burned since Potential didn't give him a number on how much lifespan he had left.
'100 years, I'll give myself a safe 30 years to reach skill level limits. She said stay ho and train, but can I level that fast purely by intensifying my training thods?'
Besides skill levels, he needed plenty of Core Developnt and other acts that can increase his Natural Potential. That was sothing harder to achieve within the confines of his ho. Though far from impossible.
Whatever the case, he couldn't properly go into the lull of training with all the distractions he had now.
Gearhart was the main one. Being in the dark about Gearhart's every move was distracting. Especially when the man could be ignoring him altogether.
Next was Kong Jing's call for help but until one of the Kong Clan mbers replied, he didn't know how to help her or where to start.
Lure's Soul Angel should not be targeting him since their target is Oplot. She was also in a different Supercluster. At most, Lure and her subordinates might have business with him. Otherwise, they weren't an imdiate problem. They were also the least intimidating since the Ecstasy Lord's soul magic was so useless against him.
Luna'Myrr House may take action but with the High Angel running away…it was hard to believe they would still co near Xienor unless they were unaware of the event.
A hundred years seems plenty, but he couldn't help but feel that his clock is ticking.
It was 12.06.5556 on the Empirical Calendar.
In roughly 4 months, he would turn 41 standard years old. In Earthen years, he would be slightly over 51 years old. He spent more ti here than on Earth now.
'I'm a bona-fide late middle-aged man. Have I really lived that long?' It certainly didn't feel like he was 51 years old.
Taking away the beautifying treatnt, size and physical changes every evolution, he pretty much looked about the sa age as when he arrived. There was a slight change to his general facial features for sure but it was hard to see any sign of aging.
100 standard years was more than twice as long as he'd lived so far. In Elven terms, he wasn't even halfway to adulthood.
'I can't wait for Gearhart, that's a waste of my ti but I can't keep being on guard for Ezekiel or sothing random.' Leaving it up to chance was no longer on his bucket list.
Patience was also not helping him.
"Dusk, check when our shuttle is arriving." Ebony opened the window to allow his Domain Core to hear his needs.
He had purchased another space shuttle.
Unlike Elcra, Cinderash had proper spatial protection. The entire Worldcore had a technological lockdown in space around their planet, sun and moon. While it wasn't impossible to open a warp portal, it required power beyond anything purchasable.
He didn't exactly know anyone strong enough to directly transport him there either. Except Ezekiel but that was his ho world. The man wouldn't be able to do the sa to a different Worldcore with the sa levels of spatial security that Cinderash had.
Ebony tried the callstone, but he was out of range as expected.
His music teacher and the only other soul magic user he was familiar with didn't have a portable module of Eidolon as far as he was aware.
This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author's work.
It's been slightly over a year since awakening from his evolution. A long ti coming to figure out the Material-Will-Reconstruction Trait that he sacrificed his lifespan and maybe even the Potential to push Flas of Frost Synergy and Intensity with Will from 500% to 750% or 1000%.
He'd tested it small scale. Fingertip. Nails. Hair.
But these were too insignificant. There was no point in deconstructing and reconstructing dead cells and their success told him nothing.
Even the reconstruction of blood, flesh and mana chassis of his fingertip wasn't enough to prove that he could do so for his entirety.
However, he was able to confirm that his mana chassis would have to be deconstructed with his Will. Doing so removes his ability to regenerate flesh and bone which was the reason for the danger should he fail in reconstruction of self.
Deconstruction of dead cells and a fingertip was easy. With his Will already capable of locking space, removing a person's power within his house. Breaking down cells was simple in comparison.
Reconstruction wasn't too complicated if he based the reconstruction of his body on the conjuration of a Number's body. He conjured his body down to cells so many tis by now that he could duplicate it to the cellular level without error.
The only exception was the presence of mana chassis since his Numbers didn't have mana chassis. Even so, his internal Mireloom Chassis Engine built with the chassis itself was designed, built and rebuilt by him over millions of tis during the creation of his Unique Skill for what was equivalent to hundreds of thousands of years back then.
The Trait didn't show up as Potentially possible for him for no reason. It was because he had so capacity to do so that it even appeared.
That left only his soul as the part where he lacked confidence.
He had zero control over the manipulation of his soul. He could sense it. He could train its tolerance against essence-based soul attacks and general soul-affecting spells. But that had nothing to do with soul manipulation.
Sure, he could 'Will' it but who was to confirm that he could reconstruct his soul or worse, deconstruct it without killing himself?
Ebony waved Uncle Wu goodbye from the window. He voluntarily ca to take care of their ho from Xienor close by which was very nice of him. In return, he got Xin's hospitality and tea.
Uncle Wu wasn't rich by any asure so Ancient Quality tea was not sothing he drank daily.
Tea was hard to grow and to get anything to the quality or rank of Ancient took a lot of ti and resources.
In a natural state, Elcra can't even support the growth of Ancient Quality tea leaves unless the growth area is undisturbed for at least three to five thousand years minimum.
With a proper planter with the right skill set and abilities, this duration can be drastically reduced at the cost of soil nutrients, ambient mana of various elents, and plenty of other resources such as fertiliser.
Ebony didn't have a good understanding of plant magic. It was not elental by any ans unless one considered the mixture of wood elents. Plant magic was widely seen as a mixture of life and wood. Vitality and wood.
That would make most Elves better life force manipulators than Ebony himself. However, this was probably false. A lack of general knowledge.
Anyone with so sense could tell that the Elves weren't manipulating vitality directly when they used plant magic. It was fully mana-based.
They used mana to manipulate life force indirectly to achieve the sa purpose. While the distinction didn't matter to most, it was crucial since he would know to attack mana instead of life force to dispel the plant spell should there be a situation in which he required to do so.
"Hey," Boots were tossed, fluid bodysuit splattered against the laundry basket. "We've been on the road for over a month…can we?"
Ebony glanced at her nervous look as she slid her arms around his neck. Was she anxious that she couldn't use emotional balancing within their house to gauge his feelings?
Fortunately, this question was better answered physically over a verbal reply.

Helping each other stretch and perform couple yoga instead of cooking and sleeping in, Ebony explained his latest Physique Refinent that ca with the skill evolution of his mana compression skill into Crystalline Mana Matrix.
"You sound more intrigued by the fact that the description condensed more than the effects." She smiled wryly.
Will of Frostblaze Fra, despite undergoing refinent and not mutation, changed its title to Frostblaze Will Bastion.
Refinent usually doesn't change nas. That was for mutations so this was out of the ordinary.
Right after his evolution, the text description that Ubiquitous Providence gave him had all sorts of flowery words.
Will purged by flas of frost.
Body assimilating freezing flas and Crystallised Willshard Ember to embed frostblaze into his body, mind and soul.
lded mana into his body that awakened his mana being ancestry.
Condensing of his skeletal structure and rebuilding of his musculature.
Constant Will usage within his mana chassis to increase his base mana regeneration at the cost of stamina regeneration.
Now, body assimilation with frostblaze, lded mana and skeletal/musculature modification had rged into a single paragraph that retained all the previous effects.
Ebony knew that skill description and the like were mostly based on his personal understanding and the Ubiquitous doesn't ddle with it often. Unique Skills are an exception to this.
The fact that he descended from a line of mana beings can hardly be considered a Physique Refinent and is closer to getting back access to his genes.
Frostblaze Will Bastion (Passive) -
Endlessly purged in your flas of frost, your Will carries the embers of your flas. An unabating Will ford an incessant swirl of excitent within your mana chassis. Entity's awakened ancestry underwent immolation under chilling flas of frost and purification of the Crystallised Willshard Ember.
Dissatisfaction of the inefficiencies in Entity's suppressed birth physical form had Entity forging self construction under extre pressures and modification resulted in the ever fortifying Frostblaze Will Bastion. Mana Chassis is packed into a crystal lattice matrix.
Clarity and force of Will increased by 300%.
Will potency increased by 1400% when expressed through frost flas.
Body, Mind and Soul attuned to flas of frost by 300%
Purity of conjured flas of frost increased by 500%
25% of Mana Regeneration also regenerates Health.
Mana and body compatibility increased by 300%
Natural resistance to cold increased by 100%
Bones forged 200% denser
Base effect of Strength and Endurance increased by 20%
Reduced physical needs of sustenance and sleep.
Base mana regeneration increased by 100% for 50% decrease in stamina regeneration.
Physical durability, toughness, tolerance and threshold increased by 200%.
Arcane dominion's range and cohesion increased by 300%
Base mana capacity increased by 100%
When he compressed mana into solid form, he did it internally first. This caused him so internal injury as his mana chassis tried to contain and create a form of mana more dense than itself.
After major reworking, he simply made the factories of mana chassis to be made of solid mana itself.
While the description says his mana chassis was packed into a crystal lattice, he was not made of a solid block and his blood also didn't solidify so it was a bit of misinformation only he would interpret.
This change did not make his skin non-porous for one. His existing fra simply turned more solid than fleshy. What this outwardly did was make his skin smooth like marble.
Sharp knives literally scraped against him and would ignite sparks if enough force was applied. While this also happened in the past, it only happens when he used mana augntation. He did not need to consu mana to harden like that now.
In fact, he had to consciously manipulate mana to soften himself.
The problems this change brought about affected him internally more so than externally.
When his muscle fibres were that tough, it created a lot of problems. Friction was a ss and his muscles snapped quite a few tis whenever he pulled of weird angular movents. The direct sound of snapping managed to shock him slightly because he was more used to pulled or torn muscles.
The way it snapped so unnaturally was awkward even for a man used to the experience of having an ice body shatter or having their icy body broken by tensile force.
This had him modify and maintain various parts of him to be fluid and not be made of crystal mana. His organs, blood and so on needed to be fluid and flexible.
With all of the prior refinents as they were, the new strengthening he modified himself to get included physical durability, toughness, tolerance and threshold. Making his body 3 tis tougher than before. This wording probably ca from his understanding and might not be everything. There might be various additions that he didn't understand about what he modified about himself.
Since he didn't understand or know their existence, Ubiquitous Providence would not put that in the description.
Durability was simply resistance to damage accumulation. Toughness was the ability to absorb energy before fracture. Tolerance was the ability to function despite defects, damage or variation. Finally, the threshold was the specific limit beyond which failure or change occurs.
These terms probably showed up they were they did because he was still thinking and learning in engineering or scientific education that he had.
Arcane Dominion took so figuring out but it appeared to be Ubiquitous Providence's way of saying 'magic body' and nothing to do with Domains or Will. So the range of his magic body's influence has quadrupled and cohesion was probably the potency of his magic body. Preventing other people from conjuring spells near him, and also the strength of this prevention.
Base mana capacity doubling sounded huge since Physique ca into effect before stats. After his baseline incrent of Wisdom, this multiplicative effect was nice to have. However, it was still insignificant to his needs compared to his regeneration.
Sadly, when it cos to internal capacity, he can't hold a candle to a thousand-year-old mage. They don't even have to be Elven.
While it was hard to find another Imperial that has greater natural mana capacity than him since they likely didn't evolve to King and have Potential to increase their baseline stat effect by too much, these people might exist amongst so Noble lineages.
Similar to ntal range, mana capacity was sothing that ca with long-term training. No matter his 'Potential', it was aningless if he hadn't trained to reach that limit.
One more thing to note was that if these people didn't have enough Potential to unlock new traits or better Fortifications they might have tossed everything into baseline stat effect, since this was one of the cheapest things to improve about their genetics that would have an observable effect the instant they woke up from evolution.
This would be true whether the evolution was manual or subconscious instinct.
Hence, it was quite common to see max-levelled Kings or Grandmasters who reached the limit of their potential in terms of skill levels or tiers but they tend to have high base stats despite that. Even more so for Emperors but Ebony hasn't seen enough maxed-levelled Emperors to say for sure.
Thanks to these relatively new changes to his body, the stretches actually help him to understand what other weaknesses of his new body were introduced so that he could make small modifications. This took ti as he needed his mana chassis to rember locations where it doesn't need that much ntal pressure to compress.
For example, his sensitivity was reduced which was not efficient for physical pleasure.
Inefficiency was not to be tolerated.
