"Why... we don't really know why, we just do as the King commands," said Xirwei honestly. Her toes, which were as white as jade in her boots, curled up nervously.
"The King's command..." Fang Yuan squinted his eyes. Was this King of Dragon Anvil far-sighted, or was he scheming sothing?
However, these two didn't seem to have any ill intentions, so Fang Yuan asked again, "Did you bring any Dao body techniques?"
This was the question he was most concerned about.
"No," Xirwei shook her head repeatedly. Every Dao body technique was precious, even a Grandmaster wouldn't casually carry one around.
"But our Dragon Anvil treasury has quite a few," Xirwei added, casually hinting at the deep reserves of her country.
Just like she said earlier, forming an alliance depended on whether the other party was worthy.
Now, after witnessing Fang Yuan's strength, Xirwei began to feel that it was her side that didn't have the qualifications to ally with him.
There was no way around it. High-end combat strength equaled national strength, and the pressure Fang Yuan exerted on her was overwhelming.
Although besides Fang Yuan, the Yan Kingdom had no other strong combatants, it could be said that with him alone, the country was already strong enough.
Lily, standing to the side, lowered her head and quietly listened. She swore that she had never seen her master so gentle before.
"Hmm... What kinds of Dao body techniques are there?" Fang Yuan continued to inquire, not directly revealing what he was seeking.
"Well, I don't really know..." Xirwei scratched her head awkwardly, her expression sowhat embarrassed. "But there should be quite a few. If Your Majesty desires, I'll send a ssage back to Dragon Anvil and ask the King for details."
"Alright, I'll leave it to you. Once you get the information, I will also consider the matter of the alliance." Fang Yuan nodded. If they could provide him with what he wanted, forming an alliance wasn't out of the question.
After all, the Yan Kingdom lacked high-end combat strength, with only Lin Lie still active besides him. Gaining another ally would be an additional source of support.
Xirwei visibly relaxed and showed a bit of joy upon hearing this. If such a terrifying existence was willing to cooperate with Dragon Anvil, it was undoubtedly great news.
"Then it's settled. I still have matters to attend to, so I won't see you off." Fang Yuan waved his sleeve casually, "Please make yourselves comfortable."
"Understood." Xirwei and Lily both nodded repeatedly and quickly turned to leave. Just standing in front of Fang Yuan, they were already sweating profusely.
"Dragon Anvil... interesting. Could it be that all the people in their country, like these two, have so animal traits?"
"Could they all be half-demons? Would I get the sa goodwill value for eliminating them?"
Fang Yuan thought, feeling a bit excited. Seeing a blue-haired loli and a mature woman, both in beast-girl forms, his heart couldn't help but race.
He shook his head, now wasn't the ti for wild thoughts. After a mont of contemplation, he summoned Lin Lie into the imperial palace.
"Wow wow wow!"
The mont Xirwei walked out of the imperial palace, it was as though she had broken free from a restraint. All her tension disappeared, and she excitedly chattered, "Lily, I think I've fallen for the King of Yan at first sight!"
"Huh?" Lily looked at her in disbelief, "At first sight? Are you kidding, master? I was almost scared to death by this King."
"You don't understand, this King of Yan is just too my type!" Xirwei said excitedly. "He's not only incredibly powerful, but also handso. Most importantly, we share common interests—we both long for eternal youth and try every way to keep from aging!"
"Uh, that's true." Lily agreed, having to admit that the King of Yan and her own master were indeed quite alike—both fond of appearing youthful.
When one had such strength, who wasn't hundreds or even thousands of years old? Yet, their appearance was maintained like that of a young person.
Now that she thought about it, they actually did seem quite compatible...
"However, master, this isn't the ti to think about such things. You should hurry and send the situation back to His Majesty, to see his decision." Lily quickly reminded her.
"That's only natural. This matter must be handled with caution!" Xirwei quickly wiped the excited expression from her face. As for the so-called "falling in love at first sight," it was just a temporary joke for soone like her, who had lived for thousands of years.
...
After Xirwei and Lily left, Lin Lie, under Fang Yuan's command, respectfully entered the imperial palace.
"Minister Lin Lie, pays respects to Your Majesty." Lin Lie bowed, his shock evident in his eyes.
This was his first ti eting the new Emperor, and although he had already heard of the King's exceptional youth from the General, seeing Fang Yuan's handso appearance still took him by surprise.
Perhaps there was no other country in the world with such a young emperor as in Yan...
"Mmm..." Fang Yuan nodded gently, "Co with to see sothing."
Now that he had regained control over the four Dao body techniques, it was ti to figure out what was going on with the five coffins that were sealed underground by Emperor Yan.
"Understood." Lin Lie replied in a deep voice. As he straightened up, he suddenly saw a flash before his eyes, and Fang Yuan had appeared right in front of him. A finger lightly touched his forehead.
Before Lin Lie could react, a surge of vast and gentle vitality poured into his body, and the injuries he had sustained were completely healed in an instant!
He had once again beco the terrifying Grandmaster who struck fear into his enemies!
What divine skill!
"Thank you, Your Majesty!" Lin Lie was filled with gratitude and bowed deeply once more, already completely submitting to Fang Yuan.
"Don't ntion it. You are a subject of the Yan Kingdom, it is only natural to take care of you." Fang Yuan replied nonchalantly, "Co, let's go."
They then made their way down a winding path, eventually reaching the underground chamber.
"Is this..." Lin Lie raised his eyes and saw five huge coffins quietly placed, their lids carved with intricate runes, exuding a mysterious and dangerous aura, making him involuntarily take a slight step back.
"This was left by Emperor Wen of Yan. I don't know how long it has been sealed. Today, we will uncover its mysteries." Fang Yuan spoke.
"I see, then allow to open it, Your Majesty!" Lin Lie volunteered. As a subject, one should be willing to lead by example.
Since these coffins had been specially sealed by Emperor Yan, their danger was self-evident.
"No need to be so formal." Fang Yuan casually smiled, and with a wave of his right hand, the lid of the nearest coffin was suddenly sent flying.
A stench of decay and age hit their faces. Inside the coffin, there was a strange, tumor-like mass of flesh!
As the lid flew off completely, the fleshy mass began to move like a living creature, as if disturbed by their presence.
Then, a gigantic eyeball slowly erged from the surface of the mass, glaring directly at Fang Yuan and Lin Lie.
Seeing this bizarre sight, Lin Lie's spiritual energy surged, and he imdiately went into full alert mode. Fang Yuan, however, remained calm and even sent a friendly greeting to the creature inside:
"What are you looking at?"
