Although he kept telling himself that he was only investing in the settlent, and he could get more returns after the settlent was developed, he knew very clearly that the investnt was too much.
This day’s battle was a perfect example.
Other people might not have a choice, but he was different.
At Transcendent Rank-8, he could’ve retreated even though he couldn’t defeat the King of Nightmares.
If he had left the continent for the vast sea, he could’ve survived in the Land of Inheritance with the wilderness survival skills he acquired before.
However, the idea to escape never once occurred to him.
In addition, before the last strike, nobody asked him to fight without reserve. He could’ve used 90% of his strength and protected himself from being killed with the remaining strength. Nobody would’ve questioned his devotion.

In Guobei County, the Fishing City, and other settlents, a million people were crying together. Their prayers gathered into a Transcendent power that was the opposite of what gave birth to the Nightmares!
Ji Ye, in his dizziness, was about to fall into eternal sleep when he detected a new ssage in his head.
[“For your species and civilization, you were determined to sacrifice yourself to kill a formidable enemy. You’ve t the hidden requirent for the Emperor’s Dragon Contract’s advancent. Your Emperor’s Dragon Contract talent has been upgraded to the Inherited level. New feature: You can be resurrected with the faith of your contracted creatures.”
[“Would you like to use this function?”]
So, that was how “Inherited” talent skills ca from?
“But I used up my ‘contribution’ when I contracted those heroes. I don’t have any power of providence left to use talent skills.”
In his dizziness, Ji Ye didn’t forget to cavil.

After Ji Ye was resurrected, the remaining aliens were inevitably caught in desperation. Their morale hit rock bottom, and so attempted to surrender like what the dragons did in the past.

However, half of the humans in the battle had been killed by those aliens, and there was no way that humans would accept their surrender. They simply charged at them under the lead of the heroes who were enhanced by Ji Ye’s power through the Emperor’s Dragon Contract!

At this mont, the remaining settlents didn’t hesitate to fight any longer, maybe because they had finished their own battles, or maybe because they wanted Dragon City to rember their favor.
With everything coming to this point, Dragon City’s advancent was already certain.

When the last Transcendent lich was hit by a mini nuclear bomb arrow, almost killing several reinforcing players from another settlent, the battle was finally over.

A trendous amount of yellow light lted into the Dragons of Providence, making them soar to the sky excitedly and roar.
After the roar, the bodies of the aliens fell apart into the power of providence and lted into the land. Mountains, rivers, and lakes were appearing. The continent was also expanding until it was twice as big as before and the size of a small country on Earth.

When so of the power of providence was absorbed, it ford enormous stone gates that belonged to different dynasties above the altar.

This Mythological item could directly summon heroes.
The Collection of 24 History Records kept a record of the Chidragon civilization from the primordial tis to the end of the Ming Dynasty. Also, the players ca from the modern ti and knew the modern culture.
It was safe to say that Dragon City was already able to protect Chidragon’s civilization with this treasure. Its heroes and ancestors would never be forgotten!
That reward only excited the natives of Chidragon.
However, what ca next excited everybody in the world.

The news was published on Earth too and received cheers globally.
After all, it ant that a million people had been granted access to the Ark. Also, they would all go to Dragon City, which had already beco Legendary.
Apart from them, the players and natives whose contribution ranked top ten thousand in the advancent test, just like last ti, received so invitations.
It was not hard to imagine the mad competitions over the invitations on Earth.
After all, during the Transcendent advancent test, nobody was aware of the Great Darkness yet.
Also, a lot of settlents were qualified to reach the Transcendent level, so the prices of invitations had been dropping all the ti.
However, considering the difficulty of the Legendary advancent test that Dragon City was faced with, no more than ten settlents from Earth could likely pass it.
More importantly, after Dragon City’s advancent, all the settlents that helped Dragon City received a notification.
If the players didn’t have enough Rare Honor, they couldn’t be directly reborn in Dragon City, but they could still receive so “revival openings” based on their performance in the battle.

That wasn’t expensive. Killing one Extraordinary alien ant a reward of one to ten points of Rare Honor, and killing a Transcendent alien would give a hundred points. Dragon City had gained more than a million points of Rare Honor from the advancent test...
However, such exchange was not unlimited.
It was because every Legendary continent had a maximal capacity that depended on its power of providence.
Therefore, the invitations that were available were limited too.
Under such circumstances, the mbers of the settlent could only pay Rare Honor for invitations in the order of their contributions to the settlent.
After the advancent, Dragon City’s continent had a maximum capacity of five million people.
The number was certainly not large. It was not even enough to accommodate all the players on Earth. That was also the reason for Dragon City’s “migration restriction”.
Fortunately, the Battlefield of Providence would be fully opened soon, and the Legendary settlents could compete with other species over the power of providence and Rare Honor without getting anyone killed.
If human beings were strong enough, they could win enough power of providence to accommodate ten million, a hundred million, and even all human beings!
When the news spread to Earth, the gloom of the Great Darkness was greatly eased. People told each other the news and cheered. They were more excited than they were at the most grandeur of festivals.
The collapsed social order was more or less restored with the help of the settlents that had a chance to beco Legendary!
Of course, not everybody was cheering. So people were inevitably sad.
For example, the people of Sandia who saw their future best player being blown up.
Or the people of One Piece settlent that had always ranked first but ran into the King of Nightmares when it was on a rampage. They had been killed before they even showed up!
Well, actually, the other people in the One Piece settlent weren’t too sad.
It was because when the remaining players in the settlent saw that the previous leaders died, they were too busy fighting among themselves for power to feel sad at this mont.
The only country where everybody was sad was Kolea.
At this mont, every household was crying, and people were mourning their stars on the forum.
“Their last settlent has just been destroyed, which ans they don’t have a single settlent next. All their players must be reborn in our country or other countries. We all know that the natives of those people aren’t always friendly to them...
“More importantly, based on the rules, this country will never get any headcount of players in the future.
“Let’s hope that they will not claim that Dragon City is theirs!”
Everybody believed that Chidragon would not end in the sa way as long as Dragon City still stood.
Apart from the rewards for the settlent, Ji Ye’s personal rewards were actually more significant.

At this mont, he had already realized that the people revived on the Land of Inheritance were actually conscious “clones” that were made based on everyone’s impressions.
Ji Ye found it hard to make a decision, so he left it aside for now!
