Looking at the small, pure black petal on his hand, Azrael couldn’t help but hesitate a bit as he wondered if he would encounter sothing dangerous if he consud it. After all, while he might be immortal and indestructible in a sense, he can still succumb to all sorts of effects, and his body transforming into sothing he does not want is sothing among those effects.

Amidst the hesitation though, he decided to brave this as the temptation of a skill that will increase his stats by ten tis is sothing that is just too good to give up for the uncertain risk that cos with acquiring it, this decision prompting the young man to close his eyes as he shoves the small black flower petal right into his mouth.

Right away though, he couldn’t help but regret his decision a bit as he felt an extrely repugnant taste, or better yet, experience in his mouth, the flower petal lting the mont it touched his tongue, turning into a vomit inducing liquid having that severe sulfuric sll countless tis worse than a rotten egg, this already being enough to make Azrael’s eyes endlessly tear up in a pain more psychological than physical.

That wasn’t even the worst part though as despite already swallowing the liquid, the taste still sticks on his mouth, making him start running around in search for water or any possible liquid that can remove this taste from his mouth, completely forgetting that he has those items he is thinking about inside the spatial ring he is wearing in his left thumb.

Taking a good few minutes to realize this due to his mind being occupied by the trauma this little piece of flower petal dealt to him, the young man finally recalls that he has all sorts of beverages on his spatial ring, imdiately going for a gallon-sized sack of water he stored there.

Drowning himself in the water he had taken out, he barely recovered to normal, a hint of the sulfuric flavor still remaining on his mouth, yet despite drinking water and trying his best to rinse it away as much as he could, it just refuses to go away from his tongue.

The only consolation for this traumatic experience is the fact that there’s another notification from the guide that he received, this making him smile widely despite still being troubled about how he should remove such disgusting taste in his mouth.

’Luckily for , and weird enough, it doesn’t really sll...’ despite the strong taste though, he couldn’t help but wonder as there’s not a single trace of the disgusting taste on his breath, and in fact, it just slls as fine as when he left the city.

While musing on his thoughts, he read through the notifications coming his way, so little pieces of good news appearing along with the confirmation of his acquiring the Demon Transformation skill.

[Detected that the ascender consud a corrupted natural treasure]

[A new skill: Demon Transformation is acquired]

[The ascender already reaches the limit of stats for the current floor, due to this, the life force absorbed by the Evil Fang Sword will go solely to the weapon, increasing its rate of growth]

[Detected that the equipnt: Evil Fang Sword has leveled up]

[Detected that the equipnt: Evil Fang Sword is continuously using its weapon skill (Domain of Absorption) to absorb the ambient life force in the environnt. Detected a drastic increase in the mastery of the ntioned weapon skill]

[Detected that an equipnt’s weapon skill: Domain of Absorption (Evil Fang Sword) has leveled up]

Looking at the multiple notifications in front of him, Azrael smiles as he nods in satisfaction, finding that the Evil Fang Sword can still level up, the extrely abundant life force in the surrounding area sothing that allows it to rapidly progress, hence why he ca to a decision.

’Will this forbidden zone close by itself?’ he wonders to himself as he thinks that he should probably make the most out of the abundant life force in the surroundings, hopefully allowing the Evil Fang Sword to absorb enough life force to push its level to twenty.

As Azrael wonders about that, he felt the Forbidden Zone seemingly still being stable enough, as if it wouldn’t collapse unless an unprecedented force cos in impact with it, however, the barrier previously preventing him from getting out or even detecting the outside of the Abyssal Rot Eternal Flower’s domain, his senses certain of it as he already starts feeling other life signatures appearing on the extre end of his Life Force Detection skill.

’Amalgams...’ he thought to himself as he observes the human-turned amalgams still struggling to move around, feeling a hint of pity for them but dismissing it as he knew that this is the consequences of being weak in the tower, the only thing he can offer them being a short prayer that hopefully, they can find a way to return to normal, or adapt to this current life style completely.

The mont that the barrier completely dispersed, another azure floating screen appeared in front of his face, making him wonder what it was about now, only for him to be surprised as he saw words more of an inquiry rather than a notification.

[Detected that the ascenders of the world (Earth) managed to complete a Forbidden Zone Quest for the first ti. This is a feat that will forever resound in the ears of the ascenders of the world (Earth) and is worthy of a place in the Ethereal Tower’s Hall of Fa.]

[This is a mandatory process and refusal is not permitted, however, the ascender/s who accomplish such achievent can choose to remain anonymous. They can also reveal their na anyti in the future if they want.]

[Detected that the ascender used a nickna: False Immortal in another Hall of Fa achievent. Would you like to announce your identity as the first ascender of the world (Earth) to complete a Forbidden Zone Quest? Y/N]

Looking at the notification in front of him, Azrael couldn’t help but reminisce as he already saw these very sa words once, almost a decade ago already, his fingers instinctually moving to agree to the inquiry however, given that there are people who seems to want to get rid of him, he decided not to.

’Well, at least not for now’ he thought to himself as he declined announcing his identity as the first ascender of Earth who managed to complete a Forbidden Zone Quest.
