Both were taken aback by Roy's attitude.
They clearly hadn't expected an ordinary person, in their eyes, to treat them so brusquely.
"How rude, you brat!"
Enraged by Roy's words, Riser's face twisted into a fierce scowl, as if he were about to lash out.
He glared viciously at Roy.
"Onii-chan, calm down. We're here on business today," Ravel said, casting a displeased glance at her brother.
She scolded, "You don't want to return empty-handed because of your impulsiveness, do you?"
Onii-chan?
The term struck Roy as quintessentially ani-like.
What kind of sister calls her brother that in real life?
Most would stick to a simple Brother or his na—anything else felt like overkill.
Roy found the behavior of these two blond siblings oddly out of place, unlike any normal people he'd t.
"Tch!"
Riser let out an irritated grunt but relented.
"Fine, your business cos first today."
He shot Roy another contemptuous glance.
"Hmph, brat, you're lucky. "
"If you'd spoken to like that on any other day, I'd have burned you to ashes."
"Onii-chan, can you not talk?" Ravel snapped, silencing him with a glare.
"I'm sorry, his personality is… difficult. It gives a headache," she said apologetically to Roy.
"It's fine," Roy replied, waving it off.
He had no interest in bickering with these eccentric siblings.
"Just tell why you're here. I've got things to do and don't have ti to waste."
Ravel took a deep breath, as if steeling herself, and said, "I'm here to break off our engagent."
Roy froze.
Break off an engagent?
What kind of cliché plot was this?
First, he transmigrated.
Then, two blonds showed up at his door.
And now, a dramatic engagent cancellation?
"Hey, brat, what's your answer? Hurry up and agree to my sister's request!" Riser barked, irritated by Roy's silence.
"I don't recall having a fiancée. Are you sure you've got the right person?" Roy asked, looking at Ravel.
He scoured his mories—both from his past life and this body—but found no trace of a fiancée.
Could his late parents have arranged it?
It was possible.
The original Roy ca from a wealthy family, so an arranged engagent wasn't out of the question.
Still, this was absurd.
Who set this up?
"Your great-great-grandfather, a man nad Lyord Flott, made the arrangent, correct?" Ravel asked.
Roy blinked.
"...Who?"
He racked his brain but drew a blank.
To be precise, he could barely recall his grandfather's na, let alone soone two generations further back.
"Okay, brat, don't play dumb," Riser sneered.
"We investigated you thoroughly before coming. You're definitely the one engaged to my sister."
"Then you've got the wrong guy!" Roy snapped, rolling his eyes.
"Just so you know," Riser continued, "being engaged to my sister is an honor. It's enough to bask in glory for the rest of your pathetic life."
Roy smirked.
"Sounds like you're the one stuck with a pathetic life."
"Brat, you're too ignorant," Riser growled, his eyes flashing with anger.
"Onii-chan, stop making things worse!" Ravel snapped, her glare reducing Riser to silence, though he pouted petulantly, clearly unwilling to back down completely.
"My apologies. We've been here this long and haven't introduced ourselves."
Ravel lifted the hem of her skirt and curtsied gracefully, like an ancient noblewoman.
"My na is Ravel Phenex, and this troubleso man is Riser Phenex."
Phenex?
The nas flipped a switch in Roy's mind, mories flooding back.
No wonder they seed familiar.
These were the Phenex siblings from the ani High School DxD he'd watched in his previous life!
"Brat, what's with that attitude?" Riser growled.
His sister had introduced herself, yet Roy remained unfazed, which grated on his nerves.
If not for the engagent, Riser would've taught this punk a lesson.
"Roy Flott," Roy said calmly, suppressing his shock.
"Though I'm guessing you already knew that."
"We do know about you," Ravel said with a slight smile.
"Can you explain what's going on? I'm completely in the dark here."
"Until now, I had no idea I had a fiancée," Roy said, deciding to play it safe.
Who knew if these two were really the Phenex siblings from High School DxD?
If they were, provoking Riser, would be a bad move.
"Very well," Ravel nodded.
She glanced around. "But should we discuss this here?"
"Co in," Roy said, stepping aside to let them enter.
"Thank you," Ravel replied politely.
She stepped inside, knelt at the entrance, and swapped her shoes for slippers.
As she stood, she suddenly lost her balance and pitched forward.
Roy instinctively reached out, catching her around the waist to steady her.
[Sufficient dinsional energy absorbed. System activating. Please wait.]
The mont he touched Ravel, a chanical voice echoed in Roy's mind.
