"What a waste of magic."

Roy shook his head. He had so expectations for Lili's magic, but who knew it had such limitations.

"You're too weak. This magic can't be that simple," Roy mused after a mont.

As a key protagonist group mber, Lili's magic couldn't just be basic transformation. Without strong skills or magic, her aptitude wouldn't keep pace with ani's progress.

"Lili's just a useless supporter—no mana to unleash the magic's true power," Lili said, lowering her head in agreent.

"Show whatever you can," Roy said, now intrigued by the transformation magic.

"Yes," Lili chanted honestly: "My na is Foul, Cinderella in ashes."

Soon, two fluffy ears sprouted on her head.

She'd transford into a demi-human.

"Enough—dispel it," Roy said after inspecting.

"End this farce, knell of midnight," Lili recited, her animal ears vanishing.

Roy pondered, mastering her magic via Omniscient and Arcs Magica.

Its rationale was deeper than Lili knew, with potential beyond her grasp.

It mimicked racial traits of the target.

Not just physical—like dwarven strength or werewolf speed.

Roy felt deeper developnt could copy the target's power partially.

'Her skills aren't simple,' Roy marveled inwardly.

Only thus could Lili, with her slow rank ups, stay relevant later.

Lili eyed Roy anxiously, awaiting his words.

She was fish on a board, at his rcy.

"How'd you know my pocket had valuables?" Roy asked.

He had many pockets, but her target was precise.

"I saw your rear before, as a supporter following adventurers," Lili explained.

"Those adventurers wanted your magic sword after your display."

"Soma Familia too?" Roy asked. She nodded.

Though unsure if her last words were deliberate or not.

They hinted at raiding the Familia.

The Soma Familia balanced exploration and business.

Their wine was popular in Orario and beyond.

Controlling them ant a moneybag.

"Want to be Soma Familia's captain?" Roy asked suddenly.

"What?" Lili was floored, thinking she'd misheard.

"Adventurer, what'd you say? Lili didn't catch it—repeat please?"

"Want to be Soma Familia's captain?" Roy repeated.

"Adventurer, teasing Lili?" she smiled strainedly.

"Think I'd joke about this?" Roy said lightly.

Lili glanced at him, mustering courage. "Changing captains is huge—not just talk.

"Zanis, our current captain, isn't good. Think he'd kindly yield to ?"

"Even if Zanis went brain-dead and ceded it, I'm just an Lv.1 supporter—I couldn't hold captaincy."

"You want a loyal puppet securing captain long-term, not trash ousted right after?"

At the bottom for years, Lili guessed his aim easily.

Roy chuckled. "Your concerns aren't issues. If Zanis disagrees, just kill him?"

Apparently, Zanis committed atrocities in the ani, tornting Familia mbers, ruining the group. His cris warranted misery.

Roy felt no guilt targeting him.

"Too low a level? Just rank up to Lv.2," Roy added casually.

"Easy for you," Lili said with a forced smile.

"The Guild bars outsiders from Familia affairs, bans adventurer killings.

"Discovery ans harsh Guild punishnt—or worse from other Familias."

"And Lili's a useless Pallum—might never reach Lv.2."

"Sorry, Lili can't fulfill your request."

"The Guild's rules bind other Familias tightly," Roy smiled, countering. "But Soma Familia's special.

"Plus, many ways to vanish quietly."

Zanis sought total Soma Familia control, rarely interacting with outsiders—rely infamous.
