The fact that Luna was the only one with enough flux energy to spare was both good and bad for the group. Good, because she was able to maintain the summon of Babieca for a long period of ti and bad because as much as they would have loved to hunt sothing along the way, Luna wasn't powerful enough to reassure Uriel of an easy victory.

Had they stumbled upon a beast level cryptid, Uriel might have gained enough flux energy to go on hunting on his own to recharge the battery of his smartphone, but each POI they saw seed ominous and ancient, both good indicators of a powerful cryptid inside.

With Nika resting inside Uriel's shadow, Uriel was forced to hitch a ride on Luna's brand new stead, though she was adamant that she would be the only one holding the reins. Her being short allowed Uriel to sightsee, though the landscape being so similar to the ones he grew accustod near Texas ant he didn't have much to see. This beca even worse when they were suddenly enveloped by a fog that didn't bode well for them.

However, after inspecting it with his glasses Uriel ca to realize it was a natural occurring phenonon which allowed him to rest easy and enjoy the ride with only Luna's keen sense of sll to guide them across the foreign land they were traversing.

"Are you sure we are going in the correct way?" Uriel asked this question so many tis even he beca annoyed by the sound of his own voice, yet he continued doing it as a ans to get back on Luna's usual persistence when it ca to asking questions.

"Uhm... no." She would answer over and over. Truth of the matter was, she wasn't annoyed in the slightest by Uriel's constant question as she took it as him trying to make small talk with her and also because due to their proximity, she let herself be carried away by the physical contact.

She had mixed feelings about being touched as it overloaded her senses and would feel uncomfortable, but when it ca to soone she loved it felt reassuring and soothing. Now she had no questions about it, she loved Uriel.

Contrary to most people who would love to add tags to their emotions, Luna didn't feel the need to do so and would instead settle with the idea that Uriel was very special to her.

"Uhm... I have been aning to ask, but aren't you aroused? I sort of assud I would feel sothing poking in the back by now." Asked Luna with a nonchalant face that made Uriel blush.

"You know, after witnessing so many horrors in my life, I'm still shocked by your capacity to absolutely dismiss human emotion." He let out in a sigh.

"You didn't answer my question." She insisted.

"Are we fucking there yet?" He snarled.

"Uhm... yes." She nodded at the sa ti she pulled the reins to slow down her stead.

"Compared to the jaguar, your horse is slow and uncomfortable. A few more bumps and I may have beco sterile." He joked to take the pressure off the question he knew Luna would keep asking.

"If you want to check up on you, then...," She lingered for a few seconds then continued. "I would have to refer you to an urologist, I'm completely ignorant in the matters related to male genitalia."

"Good graces, Luna!" Nika poked out of Uriel's shadow just to hear Luna and she started scolding her, though she didn't even know the reason why she was angry in the first place.

Uriel had completely lost interest on the bickering in the background as he was more concerned with finding out how much progress they made and the first indicator that things were not right ca when he saw what seed to be a monastery.

"Luna, you were supposed to bring us to a town or city." Uriel cut Luna's scolding short, sothing she seed to appreciate.

"I did, my nose has never failed . There are people living inside that place."

"Yes, but we were supposed to go north east and by the looks of this monastery, I think this must be near Sevilla." Uriel said.

"You may as well be speaking in another language right now. I can't tell south from east, it's just... uhm... not my thing."

"West, not south. East and west are opposed to each other." Nika chuckled

"My point exactly, I am not a map."

"Compass..." Nika corrected Luna who then snapped.

"I did my best."

"Then maybe next ti you can let handle the reins." Uriel rebuked.

"I let you mount on my horse and you complain. Perhaps you should ride in your own mount next ti!" Luna shouted.

"I would, but this idiot ate through my flux energy like you on the spanish tapas the old man made for us." Uriel snarled.

"Hey, don't get into this ss. I'm not the moron who took us to the wrong place." Nika added.

"Moron?" Luna echoed. It was the first ti Nika had ever called her nas that weren't of endearnt and she felt hurt beyond asure.

"Fuck, I'm sorry, I fucking didn't an to." Nika's mind finally caught up to speed with her tongue and she rushed in to apologize fearing that she may have gone too far.

"No, it's not that. I think we are near a dungeon." Luna inford now looking Uriel in the eye.

"Really? What makes you think that?" He asked, his anger subsided the mont his confusion surpassed it.

"Last ti we experienced sothing similar to this was near the Alamo dungeon, rember?" Luna said, now rushing her words instead of speaking annoyingly slow like usual.

"Yes, but calling you a moron was more than justified. It's not like Nika can claim those weren't her honest thoughts." He refuted.

"The sa could be said about then. People went crazy by spilling out their emotions without a filter." Luna added.

"I think the busty one called it a psychic attack," Nika said in a pensive manner trying to rember Seiren's exact words. "she said sothing about these attacks becoming less powerful if you're conscious of them."

"Is it working?" Uriel asked.

"I don't know, I still feel kind of snappy." Nika replied.

"That is just how you are." Luna added.

"No, there must be sothing else going on. If it was a dungeon I think I'd know it."

"Acting like a know it all out of a sudden, humpf!" Nika scoffed, yet she knew Uriel wouldn't say it if he didn't think if was true.

"Well, it's getting late and we should either get inside or spend the night in the wild and I'm not feeling confident we can survive the night in our current state." Uriel shrugged as he stepped inside the monastery.

The place seed to be well maintained, the grass was green, the road clean and the building itself was in shape despite it looking old.

"This place was restored by professionals at so point in ti." Uriel inford after noticing wooden beams that couldn't be older than thirty or so years, though they did match the style and architecture of the place.

"I'm glad you noticed, I did the work myself." A monk welcod the group as soon as they ca through the fog managing to startle the travelers.

"Hi, is there a place we could get so new batteries?" Was the first thing Uriel asked.

"Not really, but you can spend the night here," The monk made an ominous pause that didn't bode well for the group and then continued. "for a price."

The monk then turned around and entered crossed the door without looking back as though he knew the group would not refuse his offer even if he asked for their firstborn. After all, spending the night in the outside was dangerous at any given mont, but even more so when the line of sight was so limited due to the fog.

After nodding at each other, the group followed the monk and Uriel waited in vain for the system to warn him about him being in the proximity of a dungeon. That would have been a far greater alternative than what ca next out of the monk's mouth.

"It's going to be ten thousand credits for the night," He took a quick gaze at the group finding out that only Uriel reacted to this, then added. "each."

"No way! I can't pay that much!" Nika cried on cue, then looked at the man in the most seductive way she could muster. "isn't there sothing you can do?"

"He's a monk, you idiot. They're celibate." Uriel gave her a bump on the head after the long awkward silence that followed Nika's failed attempt to flirt with a 'man of god'.

"My na is brother Daniel, if there's anything you need just let know and I will try to accommodate you," He said after receiving the credits and writing sothing on a big book. "all I need now is your signature here."

Uriel grabbed the fountain pen he 'liberated' from Lister back in Hollywood and was about to sign in with an absent mind, but that changed when Luna slapped his hand causing him to drop the pen.

"Sothing is not right here."
