Nika couldn't shake the feeling that sothing strange was gong on in the town. For starters, the only townsn she saw where the ones coming or going to the clinic, though she was able to sense so powerful flux signatures in the surroundings.

She would have loved to try to get Uriel to accompany her and investigate the place, but after seeing how much he reveled at the attention he was getting from Elara she doubted he would join her even if she shared her worries.

Instead, she went to the clinic to et with Luna who was busy at work and barely paid any attention to her until it was ti for her break.

"What did you want to talk about?" Luna asked.

"Uriel has been acting strange." Nika let out a sigh.

"That is hardly a novelty," Luna said looking Nika straight in the eye, then continued. "did you receive a blow to the head lately? You might have a concussion."

"I'm not joking! Do you not see it? He's in love with your mother and they're even sleeping together."

"That is... uhm... impossible. He's always said he wants to save himself for Water warlock." Luna replied, unwittingly causing so spicy and awkward pictures to flash on Nika's mind.

"Take your head out of the gutter, Nika," She clapped her cheeks. "I know he's savnig himself, but they really did sleep together. Now his face is practically glittering and that's not even the worst part."

"What is the worst part?" Luna inquired.

"He's smiling... I an, really smiling."

"That is strange. Maybe I should give him another check up." Luna said with a pensive monotone as she placed her hand in her chin.

"Do you see it now?"

"Not really, but that might help further my research. Speaking of my research, take off your clothes and get on the bed." Luna ordered to which Nika replied by shrugging and doing as Luna asked.

"Why not," Nika said with her carefree attitude that shifted as soon as Luna strapped her to the bed using alloy wire. She started sweating buckets as Luna dragged a small wheeled cabinet filled with all sorts of utensils. "Luna?"

"This is a necessary precaution, I don't want you to hit when I test your reflexes." Luna then tapped on Nika's articulations with a small hamr and nodded when Nika's reactions probed to be normal. Then, she grabbed a magnifying glass and started studying Nika's body up close.

Nika wasn't one to worry about other people seeing her naked, especially Luna with whom she had a deep seated trust, though being immobilized did make her uncomfortable. Thankfully, it didn't last for long and Luna let out an emotionless heave after finishing the examination.

"And? Is there sothing wrong with ?"

"No, but... I couldn't find any proof of my theory."

"Care to elaborate?" Nika furrowed her brows as she put her clothes back on.

"When dusa petrified you, you disappeared for a long ti. I... uhm... missed you. It was hard on everyone, but as the team's doctor I felt responsible for not being able to help you. I examined your body in detail and didn't find anything strange other than it was made of stone and that it didn't have any flux.

At the ti I was certain that you were dead, but then you showed up like nothing happened."

"Yeah, It was strange... but I'm here now."

"I need to know how did it happen. What if dusa does sothing like that again? Did you survive thanks to the nature of your trait? Did you actually die? What ca back is really one hundred percent you? I've been wondering all these things." Luna said with complete disregard for Nika's feelings, sothing that actually felt reassuring to the latter.

"Well, I have a few questions of my own. I an, I just sort of appeared in a dark place and Uriel was there. Not just that, Father of horrors gifted him a small figurine that lets him summon like..."

"Like a pet." Luna nodded knowingly.

"Pretty much, yeah. But you know what, I decided to not look a gifted horse in the mouth." She shrugged.

"What horse?" Luna tilted her head.

"It's just an expression. It ans I am grateful that things turned out the way they did and that I shouldn't worry about things I can't control."

"That is... uhm... unacceptable." Luna uttered.

"You know what is unacceptable? That Uriel is completely ignoring us while your mom gets all touchy feely with him. Look in the eye and tell you don't care." Nika said as she looked her in the eye. If Luna felt anything was impossible to tell, or it would have been if not for her clenching her fists to the point they creaked. "A-ha! I knew it!

You're angry too!"

"I'm not angry, It doesn't make angry, but I'm jealous." Luna replied.

"You are?" Nika couldn't believe her ears and asked for clarification sowhat expecting Luna to take it back. After all, she never knew the tiny huntress to be a jealous person in the slightest.

"Yes, I am. I don't like the fact that Uriel can beco stronger while I ca here to do the sa and all I managed to do was to gain weight." Luna lowered her gaze as red heat rose up to her cheeks.

"Beco stronger? I don't think you understand what they've been doing behind closed doors. Maybe you'll understand when you grow up."

"I am a grown up and if you an coitus, I don't think that's the case. We already stated that Uriel wants to remain a virgin." Luna replied.

"Geez, Luna, you don't need to be so blunt. Maybe not coitus, but there's a lot of other 'adult things' they can do."

"And you don't have to sugar coat things to . I don't like when you are condescending to . I'm sure they're not doing anything of the sorts." Luna declared with confidence.

"Wanna bet? Let's break inside your mom's room tonight and see what they're up to." And so, the plan to spy on Uriel's nightly misdoings was set in motion.
