"That was dangerous..." Uriel let out a sigh after taking a misstep and almost falling off the destroyed apartnt building. At least one third of the floor was missing, but the person who cried for help was nowhere to be found. Uriel's first instinct was to stop and think what to do next, but he soon realized the ti for thinking was over as he saw a Fallen corp.

unit patrolling the vicinity that were probably drawn towards that building due to the many lit flares left by Emma on her flee.

It wasn't difficult for Uriel to identify them, since their flux energy didn't match the size of their bodies. It was as though a three ter blurry giant stood right behind so of the soldiers, which was a clear sign they were possessed. However, he was only able to see them for short period of ti before his eyes started burning.

Now that he knew the true value of the glasses, though, they finally earned a place inside his trait and he stored them in the pre apocalyptic exhibition in the museum where they belonged in the first place. 'At least they're way better than the lewd magazine...' Uriel inwardly thought and then turned his attention towards the enemy.

They didn't speak, but it was clear they were communicating with each other in so other way since they seemingly cooperated to scan the surroundings.

"Let go, I said, let go!" Tina's distant voice echoed and it wasn't long before she appeared on the street, being pushed by a couple soldiers who still wore their uniform. "I'll inform the Lightbringer about this and he won't be happy about it. He's a friend of mine!" She threatened to no use.

The soldiers ignored her as if they couldn't understand her language and pushed her around like she was a helpless girl instead of a powerful heavenly rank hunter.

Uriel didn't have the first clue about what her trait was and wished he could still wear his glasses to assess the power of her flux energy signature, just to make sure it was the real Tina and not a skinwalker. However, Uriel didn't have much ti to ponder about whether or not it was the real Tina since she soon disappeared from sight as she was taken by the Fallen corporation soldiers.

Considering that Luna said one of his friends was inside the building, Uriel questioned himself whether or not she ant Tina or if it could be soone else. Luna didn't even rember the girl's na which made him suspect there might be soone else inside the building, but decided to follow Tina to at least see where were they taking her.

Moving stealthily ca easy for Uriel now that he was able to conceal his energy signature, which helped a lot since he had no intention of engaging in a fight against the Fallen corp. soldiers. He exited the building by climbing down the wall, making his best effort to not be noticed by the enemy.

When he was just about to touch ground, things unexpectedly changed as a red glimr telegraphed dusa's trait and Uriel was forced to roll forward seeking for cover behind a wall, alerting the soldiers of his presence.

"Watch it!" Uriel shouted as soon as the light subsided to which dusa replied with a short apology and then asked.

"Did you find her?"

"Yes, I saw Tina, but they took her."

"Not Tina," Luna's werewolfish hand tugged on dusa's sleeve and spoke in whispers, painting the odd picture of a huge creature acting all shy. "It was the one that slls nice..."

"She says it's not Tina... but if she's in trouble, you should go save her and we'll find whoever it is Luna think is around here." dusa confird Uriel's suspicions that there was sobody else who needed help inside the building.

Speaking in shouts shouldn't have posed a threat to them since most, if not all enemies should have been turned into stone, but that only applied to doppelgangers which were skinwalker human hybrids.

Wendigos were different and, although they too were affected by the petrifying glare, they shook off the parts of their bodies that turned into stone the mont it began forming on their bodies before Uriel took notice.

At least seven soldiers were still standing and after dusa's opening move, they were aware of their presence. Seven enemies with an entity rank's cryptid power amounted to their previous hunter level.

A single entity level cryptid was already too much to handle for an average heavenly rank hunter, especially if they didn't know their weakness, but average would be the last word that could describe anyone in Uriel's party.

"We'll take care of them, go!" dusa shouted, waiting just a few seconds before opening her eyes again. She then scanned the area, not just to confirm the enemy had moved from their previous spots, but also to make sure all seven soldiers were under the effect of her glare. "Luna, do it now!"

On dusa's cue, the werewolf leapt forward and dropped from the heights directly on top of one of the soldiers, crushing it to pieces before it was able to shake the stone off its body. Then she leapt towards the next and the next, trying to finish them before they could move normally.

Unfortunately for them, the hybrids recovered at a fast rate and Luna took cover behind the sa wall Uriel did just monts ago.

While on her werewolf state, Luna hesitated to let anyone but her closest friends hear her voice. Part of it was her feeling self conscious about the raspy deep voice that ca out her throat, but it was also a safety issue.

The rumors going around campus about a cryptid hunting students inside premises were already bad, but it would have been way worse had anyone hear her speak because they would have known it was a sentient creature and not just a dumb beast.

However, Luna needed to sohow let dusa know she needed backup and that she was already behind cover. In her rush, the only thing she could think of was to let out a howl, though she did not expect what happened next.

Another howl joined in.

"It's Sword!" dusa gasped, then shook her head and proceeded to open her eyes again prompting Luna to go out of her hiding spot to crush the wendigos as soon as the red glimr died out.

It was a great strategy that would have allowed them to easily take care of most cryptids, but unfortunately to them no matter how many tis Luna crushed them to pieces, each ti dusa opened her eyes the cryptids were closer.

It put dusa on a tough spot, since she couldn't fight with the blindfold on, but if she removed it she might accidentally turn soone into stone. In spites of Uriel's claims that Nika was still alive and that her condition was reversible and dusa pretending everything was fine, deep down she still feared it might not be the case.

But not all was lost, because each ti Luna howled, another howl followed also drawing near. It gave them hope that Luna's sister was coming to help and gave them so sense of security, allowing Luna to fight without asking for dusa's backup too often.

This also ant the wendigos were able to move freely, only now it was precisely what they wanted. By luring them near her, dusa was making sure to fight inside the building which reduced the risk of her hurting soone by accident. On the other hand, Luna took so distance to force the enemy to divide their forces.

Because of her powerful trait, the wendigos set dusa as their priority target and four of them started climbing the wall while only three followed Luna, who was now able to fight to her heart's content.

Her sharp orichalcum claws made quick work of the deford hybrids and on first sight it seed like she had the upper hand, though after a while she was starting to beco tired and now that dusa was engaged in her own battle, the wendigos finally showed their true might. In spite of their human shape, they fought like wild beasts taking down a prey.

Each ti Luna defeated one of them, one would block her retreat while the last one pounced on her, taking advantage of her lack of stamina.

Although wendigo hybrids size was small when compared to Luna on her werewolf form, Luna yelped in pain when she received the first bite as the wendigo tore a chunk of flesh with its small mouth. Luna tried to distance herself from the enemies, but their strategy worked too well against her powerful, but clumsy werewolf form.

Luna's situation was dire beyond what she expected and she knew that dusa was also outnumbered and would be unable to help in any way which forced Luna to make a decision. She took a glance towards the floor in the apartnt building noticing the red shimr coming out of every window and let out the last howl before shapeshifting back into her human form.
