The ruckus caused by the wrecking ball Uriel turned into was enough to make all the neighbors vacate their apartnts. That kind of event wasn’t common, but wasn’t so rare either and they were more or less accustod to hunters fighting on the building.
Uriel slowly stood up amidst the panicked screams, rubbing his cheek as though it was nothing but a slap and he walked back into the bedroom where the dust was settling. dusa was there, covering her chest with an arm holding a nacing figting stance.
"Did I do sothing wrong? Was it too much?" Uriel asked with a confounded look on his face.
"Don’t play dumb." Was all she said in reply.
Not even a minute after dusa punched Uriel on the face, soone started banging on the door until it broke and a few hunters rushed inside the apartnt. They were odd looking and the strongest among them was only an ascended, but the one thing they had in common was that they were all wearing masks.
"Is everything alright?" The leader, a woman with brown hair and hazel eyes that showed through the strange mask asked.
"Quick, kill him!" dusa shouted.
"Babe, don’t joke like that. I may have been a bit too rush, but I ant no disrespect. We can talk it over, please." Uriel defended himself and pleaded at the sa ti.
"Don’t worry Miss, we will take care of everything." The woman replied and the hunters closed in on Uriel, who quickly drew his revolver and opened fire against them without hesitation.
The woman stood firmly, without showing a hint of fear and the bullet that was powerful enough to pierce through a thick skin monster rank cryptid bounced off her stone skin like it was nothing. Then, an evolved stepped in and shot a water bullet at Uriel, it caused no damage but that didn’t matter because it served its purpose.
The lighting that followed from another hunter was much more effective if the victim was wet and Uriel was now soaking.
"Stop ddling, this is none of your business." Uriel gritted his teeth and angrily said as he stood up after being zapped.
"I’m sorry, but it is." The woman with brown hair scoffed.
"You leave no choice then." Uriel grunted as a grin that reminded dusa of the past Uriel appeared on his face. Sparks of blue lightning surrounded him and he darted forward using Dash at an incredible speed, all while keeping a hand behind his back.
With complete disregard for his safety, he bashed at the first evolved who was defenseless, then he kicked the one who could manipulate electricity sending him away and leaving his path open to attack the brown haired woman. Instead of a punch, though, Uriel revealed the pocket knife he was concealing and lunged at her with all he had.
"Watch out!" dusa scread as she ran towards the woman to block the attack, but through Uriel’s perspective of ti she was moving in slow motion and he grinned evily.
Only instead of the blood gush he was expecting, the clanging sound of tal striking against tal resounded in the room as a weird man dressed with a black neoprene suit and an odd looking mask stood in his way and blocked the attack in spite of the high velocity.
"Now you made angry." The muffled sound of the man’s voice ca from behind the gas mask.
"Tsk! Get out of my way, all of you!" Uriel scread and attempted to overpower the man, but he didn’t budge.
All the hunters ganged up on Uriel, hitting him with fists, kicks and traits alike until the original color of his skin couldn’t be seen behind all the bruises.
"dusa, babe, I’m sorry. Please save !" Uriel begged.
dusa walked in, her eyes glowing in bright crimson as she activated her trait on him, leaving Uriel even more defensless. Then, she proceeded to take out her crucifix, the one Uriel gifted to her in the cathedral and dropped it on top of him as though getting rid of an ex boyfriend’s nto, but that wasn’t the case.
As soon as the silvery artifact touched Uriel’s skin, the sll of burning skin filled up the room and before he could even scream, his flesh bursted into a bubbly goo until there was no trace of him anymore and only the clothes remained.
"How did you know he wasn’t ?" Uriel asked as soon as he took off his gas mask.
"I..."
"Wait a second, why are you naked? Did you...?"
"NO! Why did you leave alone? I was so scared!" dusa cried as she threw herself into the real Uriel’s arms.
"Scared?" Uriel muttered as he saw the hole in the concrete wall, judging by the size of the hole it seed that she had things under control, but he decided not to ntion it.
"Well, it seems our job is done here. Thanks again for rescuing Marina and for helping us kill that thing."

"It’s not a problem, just rember to keep everything a secret." Uriel said, still holding the crying dusa on his arms.
There were so emotions coursing through her heart, she could do nothing but bob up and down as she sobbed on Uriel’s chest.
"I think you should, uhm... put your clothes on, maybe?" Uriel said awkwardly now that everyone else left.
"What was that thing? It can’t be a skinwalker, my cellphone worked properly when it ca near ."
"There’s a lot I need to tell you, but in short, he was a hybrid. I was looking for sothing to hunt and stumbled upon the case of a missing huntress. I talked to her husband and deduced she was already dead, but that wasn’t the case. The one who was dead was actually the husband and the hybrid impersonated him to lure people."
"No way! So that’s how he got near you and scratched your skin."
"No, they don’t need skin. They’re different, it’s more like a trait. I called Luna and she said they could be doppelgangers. All they need to do to impersonate soone is to look them on the eye, that’s why I brought this." Uriel pointed at the gas mask on the floor.
"And that weird suit?"
"Well, my clothes got stolen by that thing and this wet suit was all I had with ." He shrugged making dusa chuckle, but then an awkward silence filled the room.
