"Great, now I have to add being stomped to death to my list," Uriel said before even opening his eyes. The light was dimming and he feared that his regeneration may have taken too much ti, but that wasn't the case. "What is this place?" He looked around, only to realize he was inside a cave, there was a campfire going and the sll of freshly cooked fish ca out of it.

Then, a man whose presence Uriel didn't notice extended his arm towards him and he quickly blocked it completely out of instinct.

"Who are you?" Uriel glared at the man who had to be at least an ascended, since he was able to withstand his move without showing any pain whatsoever. The man remained silent and pulled back, then he turned his back on Uriel to pick one of the fishes and tarted eating it without showing any concern about Uriel's behavior. "Oh, right, you must be a local.

You guys speak Spanish, right?" Uriel asked, but the man showed no signs of even understanding him.

He thought hard and long about what to say and how to say it, but then he rembered so loose words in Spanish that Nika taught him and used them to introduce himself. "Hola, yo llama Uriel and soy una Idiota."

"Your Spanish is so bad I'd rather speak English, also, you just insulted yourself." The man said with an amused expression and then continued. "but that cos as no surprise since you were stupid enough as to challenge the moai without the tahonga."

'I'll make her pay.' Uriel made a vow to punish Nika, who must have taught him those words as a prank. Many tis since he t her, Uriel swore he would punish her sohow, but now he truly ant it.

"I'm Manu, eat before it gets cold." The man said as he offered Uriel a fish to eat.

Although he now possessed enough money to buy whatever food he wanted, he always deed buying fresh fish a needless expense and it was his first ti trying it. Of course he had many dishes over the years that claid to be 'fish flavoured' but those were synthetic food, made in a factory by mixing the correct chemicals, though it wasn't the sa.

The taste of fresh fish was mild, but it's aroma was enthralling and for the whole duration of the al, Uriel lost himself in the pleasure of eating in complete silence. Sothing that Manu seed to appreciate greatly as he too ate in silence.

"So, what happened to everyone?" Uriel asked as soon as he finished his fish.

"They were taken by the Aku Aku, I'm immune because of this." Manu pointed at the fishing hook hanging from his neck.

"That's the Mangai from the museum!" Uriel excitedly exclaid, maybe he was too excited because it caused Manu to cover it with his hand but then Manu proceeded to ask him a question.

"Yes, it's that one. Why are you here? Why weren't you taken? Why didn't you die? I saw them kill you, but you're alive. Is that your trait?"

"Uhm, yes," Uriel replied hesitantly. By asking that question, Manu unwittingly let him know that he was correct and the people from Easter Island did know about traits and cryptids. "This is my trait. Where is everyone?"

"They are sowhere no one can go, I've been watching the moai for a while, but they won't let anyone close to the cave."

"Alright, thanks for the help, I need to get going now." Uriel said as he stood up with the intention of going directly to the place the moais were guarding.

"Do you even know what you're up against?"

"There's about a thousand moais over the island and they're classified depending on the material they're made out of and the people they represent. Most of them are representations of the 'ariki' which are so sort of king, but there are many depicting important people or elders."

"Ok, but they're also pretty strong. If you couldn't even dodge one, what makes you think you can evade them all?"

"Who said anything about evading? I intend to destroy them."

"Nonsense! They're important for our tradition, for our culture. You have no right to destroy them." Manu shouted in anger.

"Well, they had no right to attack either. If you're not helpng, then stay out of my way." The conversation was less than polite, but none of them ant any ill to the other which was confird when Manu said the following.

"You better succeed, I don't want to pick up your bloodied shorts from the beach again."

Uriel then realized the poor state of his bathing suit, it was ragged and covered in mud made of dirt and his own blood.

"I don't suppose..."

"I rescued you, fed you and not only you have the gall to say out loud that you intend to destroy our guardians, you also ask for clothes? Do I look like a grocery shop to you?"

"If you put it that way, I guess I need to thank you." Uriel said as he grabbed an energy drink from his souvenir shop and handed it to Manu who received it with a look of suspicion.

"Where did you get this from? You didn't have it in your pocket. Did you..."

"You can say I'm sothing like a magician, "Uriel cut Manu's outrageous theory short and explained. Then, without knowing why, he felt compelled to continue. "A warlock to be more precise."

Manu was still hesitant to try the energy drink and it was only after Uriel made one appear for himself he dared to drink it. Your journey continues at My Virtual Library Empire

It was refreshing and tasty, but the man didn't miss how it also helped him regain a small amount of flux energy. A beverage like that was sothing completely out of the ordinary and Uriel was able to see the exact mont when an idea began forming inside Manu's mind.
