The original Dungeon Raiders gathered at the bridge while the rest of the crew unpacked the supplies. The reason for their eting was to brainstorm ideas and co up with a plan or at least figure out what to do in the anti.
It hadn't been long since they left their city and they already experienced their first setback. It wasn't that difficult to solve since there was no scarcity of beast rank cryptids in the wilderness and they were easy enough to hunt, but they couldn't afford to roam the barrenlands aimlessly hunting cryptids just to keep the engine running, they really needed a new objective.
"Alright guys, I have a few ideas on where should we go now but there's a few things I'd like to cover first. So of the places I'll ntion are more accessible than others, and so might be too dangerous. I really have no idea and that's why I need your input.
I think our next step should be to clear a dungeon by ourselves. Sharing the profit with the army and the Celes company turned out to be a mistake. Because of that, they managed to get their hands in a lot of orichalcum while we sold most of our stock to the governnt at dirt price.
Anyway, since dungeons are most likely located nearby archaeological sites, I need you guys to tell what do you think of the places I'll ntion."
"I don't know why am I even here, I don't have a clue on archaeology." Sam sighed.
"Sam, you're the pilot." Nika glared at him.
"Right, right..."
"So, what would you guys say about going into the Grand Canyon?"
"No!" Sam shouted.
"Why? We should be pretty close..."
"I know, I saw it, trust ... we don't wan t to go anywhere near that place." Sam said with a gloomy expression, probably thinking back on the horrors he witnessed from above.
"Uhm, why not," Luna spoke softly as if she wanted to be ignored rather than heard, but continued once everybody fell silent. "why not Atlantis?"
"I don't think that's a good Idea, it's under the Mapple corporation control."
"Hmmm, now that I think about it, I've been thinking too small. The existence of Atlantis has been confird, that ans other places like troy, Shangri-la, Asgard or even Calot may as well be real."
"What if Excalibur is real? That'd be so cool!" Sam slamd his hands on the table in excitent.
"Guys, guys, GUYS!" dusa called for their attention as everyone started speaking of the myths and treasures they hoped were real. "With how things are at the mont, we can't even go to the east coast without running out of fuel. What do you think would happen if it happens while trying to cross the ocean?"
"You're right, Europe is completely out of reach." Sam sat back down on the chair. Find your next read on My Virtual Library Empire
"That's not all, there's sothing else we need to consider. There are so aspects to mythology that are shared between all cultures, like the existence of an afterlife or the world being created by either one or multiple gods." Uriel said as he grabbed a book he had prepared and passed it on.
"What is this?"
"This is a book Mister Scofield recomnded to read many tis, I didn't think much of it at the ti, but I think it can be pretty useful now."
"Why not just look for it online?" Sam said when it was his turn to check the book and realized it was only basic information.
"Huh, Sam, we're not in a city. We don't have wifi here." dusa explained and Sam's face beca dark, prompting Nika to chuckle.
"Kids, they can't live without internet." She said as she crossed her arms.
"That applies to online shopping too. Besides, you're always saying how you're not that much older than us." Uriel glared at her hypocrisy.
"No way!" She lted on her chair, completely distraught.
"Uhm, I see, so this is what you ant." Luna said as she skimd through the celtic mythology.
"What? What is it?" Sam asked, but instead of Luna it was Uriel who provided an explanation.
"Dragons, trolls, giants, ghosts, undead, sea serpents, not to ntion the creatures that do have a na like Scylla, the Kraken, Á Bao A Qu and so many others that may or may not exist. Choosing a dungeon also ans choosing an opponent. That's not even the worst part, even if we find a dungeon without a strong guardian there's the problem of how to enter."
"Right, we needed three keys to get into the Alamo." Sam nodded.
"So, what's the plan?" Nika asked, prompting everyone to fall into silence while secretly directing glances at Uriel, expecting him to co up with sothing.
"Why are you all looking at that way?"
"If it's about cryptids I'm the, uhm, expert."
"Luna's right! You should be the one to figure it out!" Nika quickly added.
Uriel was desperate to find so clarity on what to do next. He tried solving it by himself, he tried asking his friends for help, but now that there weren't any more options he had no choice but to resort to Water warlock.
"You want to decide? Fine, but you'll be the ones figuring out how to get there!" Uriel exited the bridge and headed towards his room. It was the only place where he could have so peace in the whole airship that felt too small at tis, even though it's size was more than fitting to hold even ten tis their current crew.
He closed his eyes and entered his museum, reluctantly walking towards his souvenir shop to do the one thing he didn't want to do. He glanced at all the different plushies that were perfect copies of the cryptids Uriel had killed in the past while shaking his head after examining each and every one of them.
"This is too strong, this one is too weak, definitely not this bug," He muttered as he went over the different plushies until he found what he was looking for. "this one will do."
