dusa worked harder than ever and after long hours of painstakingly connecting the wires to the alloy plates the vehicle was ready to be assembled but doing it by herself was impossible, even with the enhanced strength of an ascended, and she was forced to wait for help
She was tired and hungry, but she decided against sleeping because she was too excited to finish her project. If it was only because of her burning passion for engineering, she would have gone to rest a long while ago, but the reason why she remained working non stop on her project was a selfless care for her friends.
Sothing in her gut told her this wasn't like all the other tis when Uriel got out of the city. It was an ominous feeling she couldn't shake off her heart, but keeping busy helped her cope with the anxiety. That's why this ti she didn't give him the accustod good luck peck on the cheek, because she feared it would be the last ti she saw Uriel.
Little did dusa know, her gut wrenching feeling had nothing to do with Uriel but with Luna.
When the employees rushed inside the headquarters like they were being chased by a ghost and Uriel didn't show up, she feared the worst and it wasn't until Nika showed up that she received an explanation.
Nika didn't know much herself, but she was able to ease dusa's worries by informing her that Uriel was probably going to be fine and the problem was with Luna, who was outed as a human-cryptid hybrid.
The existence of such creature was unknown to them and up until that point the world was black and white. The closest they saw were the Air spirit people but since they couldn't speak human language they deed them as cryptids that resembled humans and nothing more.
But Luna's case was different, she was their friend, they shared precious monts and they even lived together. The fact that they ignored her true nature for so long made them feel betrayed and scared, especially Nika who experienced the terrible sight of Luna's werewolf form in person. Your journey continues on My Virtual Library Empire
By the ti Sam arrived at the headquarters the zeppelin was already half assembled and he almost had a panic attack thinking they stole it from the Mapple corporation. It took no less than fifteen minutes to calm him down enough to explain the situation to him, but when they told him they suspected Luna was a hybrid his reaction differed greatly from theirs.
"So, you're saying she's half human and half wolf?"
"Basically, yes." Nika answered.
"Does she look hot? What happens to her clothes? Wait, was she naked!?"
Nika facepald at the perverted questions Sam asked, but dusa chuckled at them both since she knew Nika would have asked pretty much the sa things if it was a male werewolf.
"I don't get it, why are you more shocked by the fact that I built a zeppelin than from Luna being a werewolf?"
"I thought it was a truck." Was all Sam could say in response.
"But... our cute Luna..." Nika insisted.
"Why are you getting so worked up about that? It doesn't change the fact that she's always been by our side, if anything, it explains why she's so weird." Sam shrugged.
Both Nika and dusa were hit by the realization that deep down they always knew there was sothing going on with Luna. She always behaved in a strange way and had no qualms in performing acts that others would have deed inhuman, like when she used the unconscious Shaker to test if it was safe to touch the pillar that took them from the first world to the second in the dungeon.
As soon as the zeppelin was ready, it fell upon Sam's shoulders to sail it since no one knew how to operate it but at least his trait gave him an incredible spatial awareness. Besides, dusa built the bridge with transparent materials thinking especially on his 'Lightbringer' trait.
"Watch out!" dusa clung her nails to Sam's back as he almost hit a building when the airship began it's ascent in the sky.
"My bad! It's quite the learning curve..." He muttered thinking that the only other vehicle he ever drove was a bike.
Finding Uriel wasn't difficult at all, but since Sam had no experience in manning a vehicle as big as a zeppelin he kept the thrusters full blast for too long making it appear as though they were chasing after them in a rush.
The first thing Sam did after Uriel climbed into the big ship was giving him a hard slap to the back of his head that almost Made Jon's fedora fly outside the open landing bay, but Uriel managed to catch it before it was too late.
"Hey!" Uriel glared at Sam.
"It's the least you deserve for not calling !" Sam said with a smile that made Uriel regret not relying on his friend for such an important mission. He was his friend, but more than that, he was the closest thing he had to a brother.
"So beautiful." Now that they were all aboard the ship, Uriel let out a long sigh of amazent.
"Thank you." dusa replied, blushingly.
"You do know he's talking about the ship, right?" Sam was unamused.
"I know, but I made it myself. It's na is Pegasus since it ca from my head," She said referencing the Greek myth of the pegasus.
"and since it ca from , It's like he's saying it to too." Her logic was flawed, but that held no aning as her accomplishnt went far beyond what anyone would have expected from what they thought was a pile of tal plates wasting space in the headquarters for so long.
"You're even prettier than this ship." Uriel thought that maybe that'd be enough to spare him of any punishnt in the future if she ever finds out about him waking up to two naked won, but the result was dusa's face blushing red hot to the point steam almost ca out of her and she tripped over as she retreated blurting out an unintelligible excuse.
