Captain Silvermane rembered, in fact, Uriel was one of the few students he knew by na. As usual, the only students instructors knew by na were those who stood out for their bad performance but the man in front of him didn't look anything like the Uriel he knew.

Uriel used to be lean, not fit, and had a naive look on his face that gave his face an good natured air but now he was taller, his shoulders were broader and his skin looked silky smooth. Had it not been for his ever present murderous glare he might have been considered almost as handso as Sam.

"He's the janitor dude?" A male student asked with a shocked expression.

"There's no way he's the sa guy!"

"Yeah, it's impossible, I rember him, he was always last along with that other girl... what was her na?"

"Cassandra, she goes by Sword these days." Uriel replied.

"Wait, do you know her? Are you two friends?" A female student asked without even giving him enough ti to reply.

Suddenly, Uriel was being sward by first year students who were taking the ascended physical training class. Now that they thought he was friends with Cassandra they were much more interested in becoming his friend, not just that, so even asked him out and Uriel didn't know how to react. "I'm not friends with her, if anything, I hate her." Uriel spoke the truth, but he quickly regretted it. Insulting Cassandra in front of her fans was like spitting on the tomb of their ancestors, a sin they were not ready to forgive and they soon started harrassing Uriel.

"He's definitely the sa worthless guy from before."

"I bet he just got surgery done or sothing."

"That must be it, I've heard there's a surgery that can make you look like a heavenly rank. Look at his skin, I bet he's also wearing make up."

The students threw insults and nasty jokes at Uriel. That sort of thing was nothing new to him, but whenever that happened he always felt bad, now he was simply annoyed. Being praised or insulted by those aningless people felt the sa. It was like a white noise in the background, annoying no matter its content.

"Go back to the track, you maggots!" Captain Silvermane, who remained polite up to that point, finally had enough. "I think you might need to get tested again." He suggested to Uriel.

"There would be no point, I'm still an ascended." Uriel was thankful to the Captain for taking care of the annoying students, but all he wanted was to work out a little to get his daily trite.

"I'm sorry, but I can't let you participate along with my students, even if you are an ascended, your physical prowess is on another level and you might end up hurting soone."

"I understand, will I be able to join the heavenly rank physical training class?"

"I don't think so because it might be dangerous to you. Specially considering that the heavenly rank class is more combat oriented." When Silvermane finished speaking Uriel turned to leave, but the Captain stopped him.

"Tell one thing, is your trait not settled yet?"

"I don't know." Uriel shrugged.

"Mmm... I could explain you, but I'm just a soldier and I'll only confuse you even more... you should visit Professor Lamar, he's a expert on dicine."

"Thank you, instructor Silvermane." He said as he headed to Lamar's lab. So far, his day had gone in all sorts of unexpected ways and he missed the days of his schedule being packed tightly with class or studying.

Those days were simpler and much more satisfying, though they were also filled with bullying and people looking down on him but those mories beca faint with ti.

The door to Lamar's laboratory was opened and Uriel stepped inside without hesitation. After all, the professor himself had given him permission to attend his lectures and as long as he didn't interrupt the class there shouldn't have been any issues.

Because of how packed the room was Uriel was forced to sit on the first spot available, which was in the front row right next to a cute girl dressed with a lab coat on top of a hoodie.

"Luna, what are you doing here?"

"I'm performing an exergonic reaction."

"I, uh, can see that. How did you get Lamar to accept you as a student?" Uriel asked knowing it was a touchy subject. During their exploration she had complained about Lamar more than once, but now that she was in the classroom it should have been safe to ask without upsetting her.

"I showed him."

"What did you show him?"

Luna remained silent, but she pointed towards the blackboard in front of the class. There was an odd drawing that contained a lot of hexagons and letters connected to each other, but it made absolutely no sense to Uriel.

"That's an organic chemical chain extracted from one of the plant samples I showed him." Luna continued.

The class was so advanced Uriel didn't understand any of it, but Luna was different. She nodded from ti to ti and took notes excitedly.

'Is this what the other students felt during Pangeotis class?' Uriel thought to himself looking distracted.

"Alright students, I think I finished it." Lamar clapped his hands letting out a cloud of chalk, now that the chemical formula was complete it looked even more enigmatic. "So, who can tell what are we looking at?"

"It's a protein, maybe a poison." Luna said.

"That is correct, but why did you discard the possibility of it being dicine?"

"Because it's too complex, that kind of macromolecule is usually poisonous." She replied, though in reality she knew it was poisonous because she made the mistake of picking it bare handed and it caused a rash on her skin.

Uriel rembered thinking at the ti that, on top of all the dangers they had to face in the dungeons, there were also poisonous plants and he made a note not to forget that fact.
