After their fight, Nika and Uriel's relationship finally solidified into sothing more than friendship, though not in the sense she would have liked. The bond they shared didn't involve any bedroom activities, but they were intimate in other ways.

While Uriel didn't particularly liked the idea of being possessed by Nika and still had a hard trying to wrap his head around that idea, he did feel closer to her. There was a special sincerity between hunters that could only be achieved after a fight. After all, words can be deceiving, but fists don't lie.

Now that Nika finally ca clean to him and told him everything he needed to hear, he was finally able to leave what happened in Chichén Itzá in the past and place his trust in her.

The sa happened to Nika, though the only thing that managed to convince her that Uriel didn't actually want to take revenge on her was the fact that he turned his fist into a palm when he realized how dangerous it was to attack her with his full might.

All in all, things got better between them and besides the occasional flirting Uriel had to endure, he felt at peace.

The old factory was also starting to look less like an abandoned building and more as a ho, especially after both dusa and Sam showed up to decorate their rooms. Although Nika would be the only one living there in the weekdays, the rest of the group decided to spend the weekends together whenever it was possible.

"I'm telling you, that Tina girl is hiding sothing!" dusa said and then kept on slurping noodles with manners that made Sam cringe.

"Uhm... maybe you just don't like her." Luna replied, her face filled with cupcake crumbles.

"No, no, no! I don't like her, that's true, but she's been acting weird lately!"

"Why do you even care? It's not like you're not acting weird. Am I right Uriel?" Sam asked and Uriel simply shrugged his shoulders making Sam think that he was upset. "Co on, dude! You can't possibly still be mad about my little prank."

"What prank?" dusa asked brimming with curiosity.

"Nothing, I just hid his clothes and he had to go naked." Sam said dismissively, but dusa reacted by blushing heavily.

It was a lively dinner, though both Uriel seed out of it for the most part and the reason for his strange behavior was dusa. Although he was glad to be reunited with his friends and everything seed normal in the surface, he was deeply scared of her eyes and couldn't get to even look at her like he used to. It was a picture perfect ti with his friends, but everything felt distant and foggy.

"You've been awfully quiet." Sam nudged him on the side.

"Ah, I... I was thinking on my instructors." Uriel spat the first lie that crossed his mind.

"Did you manage to convince any of them?" Sam asked, though the one who replied was Nika.

"All of them! In the first week! My student is so aweso." She gulped down a can of beer as though she was celebrating sothing.

"I bet you made things easy for him while sending on a goose chase. There is no professor Charlie in the whole campus!"

"That's because she isn't on campus," Uriel replied. "also, I'm not your student here, Nika."

"Geez! Spoilsport."

"Hang on! You're saying you already got Professor Charlie to accept you as a student!"

"Only until I figure out my specialization."

"Is she hot?"

"Are you sure you should be asking such questions in front of your girlfriend?" Uriel glared at Sam, but he remained unfazed.

"I don't mind. He can do whatever he wants as long as he keeps pretending to be my boyfriend in front of everyone." dusa shrugged.

"How is that going by the way?" Uriel awkwardly asked. He knew the chilling sensation would dissipate soon like always, but it was still difficult for him to be near dusa. She, like usual, thought Uriel was acting jealous and seemingly enjoyed it.

"He's taking into pretend dates and I'm sort of couching him on how to approach won because he doesn't even know how to talk to them."

"Hey! That was supposed to be a secret!"

"Trust , Sam, that is no secret." Uriel shook his head.

"Lamar..." Luna said softly and everyone turned to look at her. "He took to the security office because he thought that I was... uh... lost."

Everyone broke into laughter at Luna's disgraceful encounter with her professor and Nika almost fell from her chair. Luna, though, didn't understand what was so funny about it given that it ant a setback on her career.

"Seriously, how cute can you be?" Nika wiped a tear caused by laughing so much. "But seriously, how co Uriel was the only one to find his instructors?"

"I did well with Fermi." dusa announced proudly. "In fact, he asked to join his lectures even though he only dictates class for second year students."

"I've been aning to ask, but, why is it so important for hunters to have a specialization? It's not like they care much about them in the Cryptid hunting agency."

"On the contrary! They care a lot about it, but you guys ford your own party. Let's say you're in another city and want to go on an incursion. The first things people will ask is about your rank, your specialization and what kind of gear do you have."

"Speaking of gear, I want you guys to tell what sort of weapon you would like to use. Professor Fermi promised to teach how to make interdiate weapons and I'd like to practice with sothing that will beco useful."

"Gauntlets, with claws..." Luna muttered. "Big claws."

Of all those present, Luna was the only one who never told anyone about her trait and they hadn't seen her fight seriously either. They knew she was an ascended and that her physical prowess far surpassed that of regular ascended, but they had no clues about what her true fighting potential was.

"Gauntlets? That's an odd choice, but it should be pretty simple... I guess."

"I'd like a handgun." Nika stated shalessly.

"Excuse , but you're a professor now, you can buy your own things."

"Can't bla a girl for trying." Nika shrugged.

"Uriel... you?" dusa asked softly.

"I think I'm ok, I'll be taking professor Fermi's class too, rember?"

"Oh, right." dusa sighed trying to hide how disappointed she was at not being able to gift sothing to Uriel, though that wasn't enough to put a dent on the wonderful ti she had after being reunited with her friends.

They spent the rest of their weekend leisurely at their headquarter, happily unaware that it was their last chance to rest properly now that both the Mapple corporation and the Celes company had set things in motion.
