Raven’s breaths were asured, masking the fatigue from relentless battles. He and Duskrunner cautiously entered the final chamber, the oppressive weight of the catacombs pressing heavily upon them. Raven tightened his grip on the Cursed Chain, its cool tal offering slight comfort.

"This one won’t go down easily," Raven murmured. "This fight will go through three phases."

Duskrunner growled low in acknowledgnt, eyes narrowing into the dark.

The chamber trembled violently, shadows spiraling together to form a towering figure hovering above an obsidian throne. Its robes billowed furiously, countless tornted faces beneath its hood writhing in eternal agony.

"You dare disturb my eternal slumber?" The Phantom Seer’s voice thundered with vengeful fury. "You shall suffer the agony of a thousand deaths!"

Phase 1: Veil of Lies

The room lurched, corridors stretching into an impossible infinity. Raven stumbled, bile rising in his throat as vertigo slamd into him. A phantom pressure crushed down on his skull, like a scream just out of reach.

"Duskrunner—keep moving!" Raven barked, voice strained.

Duskrunner darted through the barrage like liquid shadow, but Raven’s movents were sluggish. He deflected a bolt—then another—but the third struck. A sharp line of heat tore across his shoulder.

He hissed, stumbling back, vision swimming.

"Co on... focus." He gritted his teeth, forcing his legs to move. Not the good place for a fatigue to consu him.

Dark mana continued to rain from above—each wave more aggressive, more erratic. The Seer’s laughter bood through the chamber, manic and thunderous.

"Pathetic mortal! Fall to your knees!"

Raven dropped to one knee—not in submission, but to avoid a spiraling bolt of energy that exploded against the wall behind him. Dust and shattered stone pelted his cloak.

His heartbeat thudded in his ears. Too fast. Too unfocused.

He clenched the chain in both hands. If I can’t get closer, we’re done here.

"Now!"

Duskrunner lunged, a blur of claws and teeth disrupting the Seer’s rhythm. Raven surged forward, adrenaline burning away hesitation. He slamd the chain forward—its weight familiar, its purpose singular.

The Seer reeled from the impact, forced back montarily.

But Raven could already feel it—this wasn’t even close to over.

Phase 2: Ethereal Mirage

Without warning, the Seer split into three ghostly forms—each flickering like broken reflections in warped glass. Their spectral scythes glead as they phased into motion, appearing and vanishing every five seconds, each slash faster than the last.

"They only last five seconds," Raven muttered, eyes narrowing. "If we don’t strike them fast, they’ll multiply."

The illusions darted in erratic loops, slashing from impossible angles.

"Lantern Fragnt—guide us."

Raven raised the relic dropped by a previous miniboss. An item most players had tossed aside, assuming it was nothing but dungeon clutter.

But Raven knew better.

A dull glow spread across the floor, revealing faint arcane marks—indicators of where the phantoms would appear.

"There," Raven said, pointing sharply. "Ti your strike."

The first illusion blinked in—Raven’s chain lashed forward with surgical precision, unraveling it in a burst of black mist.

The second erged behind them—Duskrunner spun, claws slashing upward with a feral snarl, shredding the phantom mid-air.

A low rumble echoed across the chamber. The Seer’s warped voice followed.

"You learn quickly... but tricks will not save you."

The third form materialized—larger, more volatile. Duskrunner lunged from the left, Raven from the right. Their attacks struck in the sa heartbeat: a claw through the chest, a chain tightening around its neck.

The illusion shrieked—louder, deeper—before detonating in a burst of dark smoke.

A furious, resonant howl shook the air.

"Enough! You will not mock further!" the Seer thundered.

The phantoms vanished. The ground pulsed, cracks splitting beneath their feet as shadows gathered once more.

Raven and Duskrunner steadied themselves.

"He’s getting serious now," Raven said under his breath.

Phase 3: Phantom Requiem

A slow, pulsing wave of dark energy rippled outward.

Raven’s instincts scread.

"Duskrunner, move!"

He activated Ethereal Step, phasing out just as the wave passed through his forr position. Duskrunner, too late to react, stiffened mid-leap—frozen, eyes wide with panic.

"Damn it—!"

The Seer surged forward, its scythe gleaming with malicious intent. Raven hurled his chain, deflecting the blow an instant before it cleaved through Duskrunner.

The wolf collapsed, then snarled as he forced himself to move again. The paralysis broke, but Raven could see the fear beneath his fury.

"Too close," Duskrunner growled, pacing tightly.

"Stay sharp."

Another pulse exploded outward—this ti, Raven was too slow. His body locked up, muscles unresponsive. Panic coiled in his chest as the Seer’s shadow fell over him.

Not like this. Not now.

The blade descended—and Duskrunner struck from the side, knocking the Seer’s aim off just in ti.

Raven’s control returned in a gasp.

"We need better timing!" he spat.

The third pulse rolled toward them. Raven and Duskrunner stood together, breathing in sync, eyes locked.

This ti, they moved as one. The pulse passed harmlessly. They dodged, repositioned, and struck.

Confidence began to return—but the Seer’s fury only deepened.

Phase 4: Shattered Vision

The Phantom Seer scread—and reality cracked.

The world splintered around them—angles warped, walls folded inward, and space distorted like broken glass. Raven stumbled, disoriented. Up felt like down. His hand reached left, but it moved right.

"Duskrunner! Rely on your instincts—ignore your eyes!"

The Seer flashed through the battlefield like a ghost, scythe swinging wildly. Duskrunner barely ducked in ti, barking in confusion.

Raven tried to move, but his limbs betrayed him. Every motion turned against him. He spun left—and crashed shoulder-first into a wall that wasn’t there.

A sharp breath escaped him.

No logic. No rhythm. Just chaos.

He tried to run—and tripped. His head smacked the ground, vision flaring white. The Seer lood, steps silent but certain.

"Focus... opposite movents," he whispered.

He forced himself up, staggering through the fractured space. His gut twisted with nausea. Shadows reached for him—hallucination or not, he couldn’t tell.

Duskrunner cried out behind him, nearly crashing into a phantom pillar.

Think and you die. Trust and you live.

Raven shut his eyes. He took a breath—and moved with instinct alone.

He ducked under an invisible slash. Turned toward a sound that didn’t exist—and dodged just in ti.

The world didn’t make sense. But his body moved anyway.

It began to click.

"Duskrunner—now!"

The wolf lunged, following scent and sound. Raven lashed his chain forward, wrapping it around the Seer’s throat mid-turn.

"Abyssal Pact!"

Dark energy surged down the chain, binding spirit to master. The Seer scread—a sound like a hundred tortured voices in unison—before collapsing into a kneeling form.

"I yield..." the Seer hissed. "Bound to your will... for now. But beware, mortal—such power always demands its price."

Raven exhaled, but the tension refused to leave his body. His limbs ached. The weight of exhaustion finally settled in, his legs feeling unsteady beneath him.

Duskrunner let out a tired huff, slumping onto his haunches. "Tell we’re done with this dungeon."

Raven dragged a hand through his sweat-damp hair. "We’re done." His voice ca out rough, drained.

A pause. The silence of the crypt stretched around them. No whispers. No shifting shadows. Just the heavy weight of their own breathing.

Duskrunner flicked his ear. "Good. Because if another undead bastard shows up, I might actually lie down and let them kill ."

Raven chuckled weakly, shaking his head. "Noted."

Duskrunner approached, breathing heavily. "That was closer than I like."

"But we made it," Raven replied, standing straighter. "Now he’s mine."

A faint shimr appeared where the Phantom Seer had been subdued—a reward awaited them.

Raven stepped forward, inspecting the shimring form as the glow coalesced into sothing tangible. He reached down and picked up a tattered cloak, its fabric woven from shadows themselves.

Item Acquired: Tattered Cloak of the Phantom Seer

Type: Shoulder Armor– (Epic)

Primary Effect:Specter’s Veil — Grants a passive 15% reduction to enemy detection radius, significantly enhancing stealth capabilities.

Secondary Effect:Echoing Shadows — Once every 90 seconds, allows the user to briefly fade into shadows for 3 seconds, becoming immune to targeted attacks and breaking all active enemy targeting.

Duskrunner sniffed cautiously at the cloak. "Feels cold."

"Perfect," Raven said softly, wrapping the cloak around his shoulders. "Just the edge we need."

Raven checks his level. Level 23. Not bad for 5 days playing. But he is still weak compared to the guild’s juggernauts. He needs to stay low.

For now.
