Chapter 62: Chapter 62: The Older Ones Know How to Coax, the Younger Ones Give Their Hearts Chapter 62: Chapter 62: The Older Ones Know How to Coax, the Younger Ones Give Their Hearts Bella Woods felt a sharp pain in her heart, yet when she t the man’s deep eyes, it felt like a thorn pierced through her heart.

She quickly averted her gaze.

Clearly, it was the other party who broke the contract, but Bella Woods strangely felt a sense of guilt.

Unwilling to accept this, she stubbornly forced herself to bring her gaze back to the man and said, “I’ve made myself very clear, please leave.”

Ashton Marshall sneered, suppressing the dangerous swirling in his eyes: “It seems you really like that boy.”

“That’s my fiancé, of course I like him.” Bella Woods almost blurted out.

Just as she finished speaking, Oliver Hughes, apparently not understanding sothing, kicked the wall several tis while cursing: “Bella Woods, I’m the superior one here. Let tell you, not only the engagent, you will always have to watch my face!”

Oliver’s statent was like a slap in Bella Woods’ face.

She loved soone who regarded her so lightly.

Bella Woods found it laughable herself, but facing Ashton Marshall, her words remained tough.

“Between you and , it was always a monetary transaction. I was the one who paid, the one who initiated the relationship, and naturally, I have the right to say it’s over.”

“I’ll ask you one more ti,” Ashton Marshall stared at Bella Woods, “Bella Woods, are you sure you want to end this relationship with ?”

Always standing at the zenith, the favored son of the heavens never gave people a second chance.

Proud as he was, the dignified president of Marshall Clan Group, holding the economic lifeline of Peace City, wouldn’t compromise for a child.

“Yes!” Bella Woods affird, “Now, please leave.”

“Fine.”

Ashton Marshall’s lips curled into a mocking smile.

His gaze never left Bella Woods’ face. He propped himself up with his right hand on the window edge, jumped over the window, and stood on the ladder.

Bella Woods remained standing there, watching the man lower his eyes and ascend, as if a god had descended to earth, but the believer, in a mont of anger, shut the door on him.

In a panic, Bella Woods tried to close the window, only to discover her hands and body trembled so violently that she couldn’t get it to shut despite several attempts.

It was only after the luxury car left downstairs that she finally managed to close the window.

By then, Bella Woods was already drenched in cold sweat.

A tear the size of a bean dropped onto the back of her hand and trickled down before Bella Woods noticed, realizing she was unknowingly crying.

Ultimately, she couldn’t stand any longer, crouching down helplessly, hugging herself tightly.

mories flooded her mind uncontrollably, of the evening of her eighteenth birthday, finding out her parents wanted to send her to Oliver Hughes’s bed to secure the engagent — it was as if her world crumbled.

Arbitrarily bursting into a room, she saw a man sitting on the sofa. His striking face instantly stirred all her desires.

She completely indulged, letting herself go.

What she thought was a one-ti transaction unexpectedly led her to wish that man would accompany her for a year.

And only until now, realizing she had severed ties with that man completely, loneliness and helplessness overwheld Bella Woods.

She finally understood why she insisted on his accompanint.

After the world collapsed, Bella Woods, though letting herself go, never gave up on herself; she wanted to pave a new future for herself.

This path was lonely and unfamiliar to Bella Woods.

The man was different from the usual male prostitutes; he was handso on one hand, but more importantly, he taught her many things.

He taught what her parents never fulfilled in her education.

He taught Bella Woods to stand straight with pride.

The one who was belittled received repeated apologies from the person belittling her.

The daughter accustod to being a sacrificial pawn learned to fight back strongly.

She found happiness and opened up to a new world, feeling naive yet filled with anticipation for the bright new future.

Bella Woods originally was a sensitive child craving love, needing companionship and encouragent more than others. The man’s presence made her realize she wasn’t alone; there was soone to consult when she felt helpless and lost.

But after today, she stood all alone, without support.

She would walk into that new future by herself.

This solitude and the uncertainty of the road ahead engulfed Bella Woods, making her feel waves of suffocating breathlessness.

Cascade Court.

The city’s vibrant night scene of Peace City spilled into the room through large floor-to-ceiling windows, forming a unique view.

Ashton Marshall leaned back on the sofa with a dark expression, impatiently tugging at his collar, his face looking grim.

Opposite on the sofa, Tim Season held two empty cups and a bottle of wine, hesitating whether to pour or not.

Earlier, he was making out with a young reporter, but she complained that the gossip he provided wasn’t juicy enough and accused him of seducing her under false pretenses, leaving him abruptly.

Her fiery temper refused to yield, nearly kicking him in a life-threatening place.

Tim Season couldn’t understand why the head of the Season Family had to supply gossip to her.

After being bid farewell, he ca looking for President Marshall, who was ‘being the third out of love,’ to drink with him.

He walked in to find soone returning with a dark face, sitting on the sofa, even too lazy to turn on the lights, with an aura of danger looming a few ters around like a mountain of knives and a sea of flas.

“Third Young Master, are you…” Tim Season hesitated for a mont, but his curiosity triumphed over fear: “Arguing with the kid?”

Regarding Ashton’s relationship with that kid, Tim Season only knew that she had a fiancé and loved him dearly.

As for Ashton’s attitude towards that kid, Tim Season couldn’t quite grasp whether it was fondness or fun.

Or maybe both.

Facing Tim’s question, Ashton Marshall shot him a glance: “Are you free?”

“Third Young Master, a child is a child because of their young age, simple thoughts, and straightforward temper,” Tim Season quietly flipped the two empty cups and poured so wine.

“The most important role of an age gap is that the older one knows how to placate, and the younger one expects more consolation.”

Tim Season handed a glass of wine to Ashton Marshall, wearing the look of a seasoned romance advisor.

Ashton’s eyes narrowed; though he didn’t say much, he accepted the wine from Tim Season, tilting his head back to down it.

Seeing this, Tim Season quickly poured a second glass.

After all, growing up alongside Ashton and having spent so many years by his side, he understood his brother quite well.

“Go on,” Ashton unexpectedly threw in a word.

“You ntioned that the child is very fond of her fiancé, but the fiancé certainly doesn’t treat the child well. Kids love sweets, Third Young Master, just be patient, coax her more, accompany her more, and she’ll be captivated.”

“Even if the child is emotionally dull and cannot comprehend, emotions and body will depend first; once they rely, they habituate, once habituated, they cannot leave.”

Tim Season seed to master this field, even summarizing: “Moreover, Third Young Master, are you certain that the child’s affection for her fiancé stems from long-term habit?”

The man’s previously darkened face found amusent in Tim’s words, his lips faintly curling, eyebrows raised: “How to console?”
