Neither of them had spoken since getting in the car, which sped quietly down the street.
The unique hustle and bustle of Peace City was evident; even in the early hours, there were still vehicles on the road and people on the move, either drunk or just off work.
Bella occasionally looked at the city, feeling that its prosperity was like a cage, trapping countless people who wanted to make sothing of themselves.
“The address,” Oliver suddenly said.
“The Woods Family?” Bella asked, puzzled.
Oliver glanced at her briefly: “The new ho.”
“What are we going to the new ho for?” Bella blurted out, instinctively sitting up straight.
Uncle still lived there.
After they agreed to take care of him for a year, that place beca their new ho.
During this year, soone would accompany her.
“Aren’t you having your opening ceremony tomorrow?” Oliver frowned. “You still have to give a speech as the freshman representative or sothing.”

But what did that have to do with her opening ceremony tomorrow?
“Didn’t your mother buy a house near the school to make it convenient for your studies? You furnished it a few days ago, so you can move in tonight and be close to school tomorrow.”
“So you an to say you want to drop off there to stay at the new ho tonight?” Bella realized.
“What did you think?” Oliver glared at her. “You’re really clueless.”
“Lucky for you, you saved my mom back then and she arranged this engagent between us. Otherwise, with how clueless you are, any man would PUA you, but I don’t mind.”
Oliver finished his sarcastic remark and added, “You better appreciate , don’t drive away.”
Being called clueless, Bella could only remain silent.
She didn’t even know why, since Oliver seed to dislike her, yet he still got engaged to her; she wasn’t sure what he was getting at.
Furthermore, she realized that Oliver knew everything about her starting school tomorrow, moving into the new ho, and even the furniture delivery.
He must have done so investigating after receiving the video from Sienna Warren.
Luckily, the people Uncle had worked with were quite capable and well-connected, or else they would have dug up everything.
“I think I should go back to the Woods Family,” Bella found an excuse. “Rose just left for training abroad and my brother is at boarding school. I’m worried my parents might feel lonely, so it’s better to stay ho for a few days.”
“Ha, you’re such a good daughter,” Oliver mocked Bella. “I was wrong, you’re not just clueless, you’re truly foolish.”
Bella remained silent, not arguing.
Fortunately, Oliver didn’t insist on going to the new ho and drove back to the Woods Family.
When she got out of the car, she saw Oliver following her out. “You?”
“What about ?” Oliver walked up to her.
“Aren’t you going back?”
“Miss, did you forget about the 48-hour compliance order my uncle gave?” Oliver pointed at his watch. “If I am more than one kiloter away from you, the alarm on this watch could electrocute . Who will you get engaged to then? Won’t the Woods Family fear banks demanding repaynt?”
He seed impatient, as if he couldn’t stand how clueless Bella was.
Yet Bella felt that Oliver wasn’t as irritable as he was when he ca down the hill earlier, even seeming a bit in a good mood?
To say, from the mont they got into the car, Oliver hadn’t shown any impatience or arrogance towards her, as if he suddenly figured sothing out and was in a good mood.
However, Bella was used to Oliver’s fickle temper.
Mainly, seeing him stepping into the Woods Family’s door now, Bella couldn’t help but feel complicated.
“What are you doing standing there, waiting for to carry you over?” Oliver turned back, noticing Bella spacing out, with an amused expression.
He stretched out a hand toward Bella: “Be smarter, don’t be so dumbfounded, can you?”
Bella instinctively refused being pulled, but as she walked toward Oliver, he had already forcibly grabbed her hand and led her inside.
Upon returning to the Woods Family, she discovered that the servants hadn’t finished their work.
Ron Woods was in a suit, his face slightly flushed, while Jade Patel was elegantly dressed, supporting Ron as he rested on the sofa.
It was apparent the two had just returned from a banquet.
“Oliver?” Ron was surprised to see Oliver.
Once he noticed Oliver holding Bella’s hand, he couldn’t hide the smile on his face: “Why are you back so late? Are you hungry? I’ll have the kitchen make a late-night snack.”
“It is very late. I might have to trouble you for the night, Uncle and Aunt Woods.”
Oliver usually spoke disdainfully about the Woods Family, but outwardly he maintained decorum toward Ron and Jade.
His words caused Ron and Jade to exchange a surprised glance, their smiles becoming uncontrollable.
“How could it be trouble? It is indeed late; it’s normal for Oliver as Bella’s fiancé to stay over. The bedroom would be…”
“Just the room next to mine,” Bella quickly added to Jade’s sentence.
“Yes, I was thinking of having soone prepare the adjacent room,” Jade subtly glared at Bella, then directed the servants to tidy up the adjacent room.
“This will take ti,” Ron stated. “Bella, why don’t you first take Oliver to your room to rest.”
There was no avoiding Ron’s suggestion, so Bella took Oliver to her room.
As soon as Bella and Oliver left the room, Ron and Jade exchanged another glance, both of their eyes filled with excitent.
Today was the celebration banquet for the success of a new project partnership, and Ron and Jade had been in the spotlight.
Those bigwigs who previously showed no respect in business were now all coming over humbly to toast them—it was a great vindication.
“Bella sure has so ability,” Jade remarked. “Over the years, she’s always managed to keep Oliver satisfied.”
“Pleasing him isn’t enough.” Ron frowned, contemplating. “The engagent cannot afford any mishap.”
“You an…” Jade looked at Ron.
Ron motioned Jade to co over and whispered in her ear, “Have soone make tea, add sothing to it, and bring it to the room.
They are both young, spirited, and impulsive. Arrange for Daniel Hughes and his wife to co over for morning tea tomorrow and just happen to walk in, understand?”
Upon hearing this, Jade understood imdiately: “Once it’s a done deal, even if there are mishaps in the engagent, the Hughes Family will have to give our daughter an explanation.”
This move would certainly secure the partnership between the Hughes and Woods families.
“It’s just…” Jade hesitated, glancing at the door of Bella’s room: “Her temper has been a bit fiery lately; I’m afraid she’ll cause trouble.”
“She just has to act up,” Ron got irritated at the thought. “A woman has to get married, doesn’t she? Bella should count herself lucky that Oliver is interested in her. Does she think she’ll find soone better if Oliver leaves her?”
“We, as her parents, are paving the way for her future. Eventually, she’ll co to understand and will appreciate everything we’re doing today!”
Jade completely agreed, with no more reservations: “I’ll arrange it right away.”
