Chapter 198: Chapter 198: He has truly taken good care of her
“Shall we go get so dessert?” Calvin Marshall cautiously asked.
Bella Woods shook her head, “I’m thinking, I don’t want dessert, I want to watch a movie.”
“Sure, I’ll book the tickets,” Calvin Marshall said and imdiately started booking on his phone.
Bella Woods followed with a smile. She tried not to overthink things, after all, Ashton Marshall was never hers. They were just briefly intersecting paths that would eventually part ways.
It was just earlier than expected.
And with the ‘white moonlight’ back, she wouldn’t have to worry about Ashton seeking her out or causing trouble after going abroad.
“Do you have a motorcycle?” Bella Woods suddenly recalled Calvin Marshall posting a driving video.
“Yes, I brought it today,” Calvin Marshall replied, then quickly said, “But I’ll have soone from ho drive…”
“Take ,” Bella Woods held Calvin’s hand, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.
“Of course, no problem,” Calvin Marshall muttered, “I thought you didn’t like these things.”
“I just want to try, was too busy studying before, a country bumpkin wanting to see the world,” Bella Woods joked about herself.
Calvin Marshall couldn’t help but laugh, imdiately taking on a big sister role, patting Bella on the head, “No problem, little bumpkin, big sis will show you the world.”
Bella Woods was amused, they exchanged glances and both laughed.
“I think knowing you is nice,” Bella said earnestly.
Though she knew before that Calvin Marshall was sent by Ashton to be her friend, and she felt hurt, Calvin explained, and spending ti together made Bella feel sincerity.
It felt nice.
Bella Woods reached out and patted Calvin Marshall.
“Little Bella, are you mad at my bro?” Calvin asked cautiously, “If there’s anything unhappy between you and my bro, you can’t conveniently tell him, you can tell , I’ll convey it… Although I’m also quite afraid of my bro.”
As Bella released Calvin from her hold, she assured, “But as long as it’s about you, I’ll definitely help.”
“There’s nothing between your bro and , I’ll never be mad at him.”
Because in her most bewildered and helpless state, Ashton Marshall pulled her out, stayed with her, and provided support.
Even if it was just because she reminded him of Nina Sutton in so ways, Ashton truly cared for her, encouraged her to learn without proving herself worthy of love.
These things truly happened and couldn’t simply erase Ashton’s care for her.
“Then why do I feel…”
“Sixty, Ashton and I are not headed in the sa direction, we’ll eventually part ways.”
“But…”
Calvin Marshall seed like he wanted to say sothing, but Bella Woods stood up, “Let’s go watch the movie, I have to go back to the Woods Family for dinner tonight.”
“Why are you suddenly going back?” Calvin felt displeased.
“Just want to go. Your bro said tonight’s dinner will be family harmony, I’m curious what a warm scene that is.”
Bella shrugged and headed out.
Ashton had ntioned tonight’s dinner would be sothing she’s always craved, indeed, she was curious.
And with Bella not saying much more, Calvin didn’t press further. They left the school together, with Calvin taking Bella on her heavy motorcycle.
Just happened to bump into soone taking car footage, capturing their ride.
Bella’s only feeling was: it’s so cool!
The world is vibrant and colorful, different fields have different people with diverse interests. She shouldn’t be trapped in loving or not loving.
Be it a stand-in or not.
In the evening, at exactly six.
Calvin Marshall drove Bella Woods to the Woods Family on her motorcycle, just in ti to encounter Jade Patel walking out of the villa.
“Bella?” Jade Patel was quite surprised to see Bella, “Didn’t I say, let know when you’re coming back, I’d send a driver to pick you up?”
“I happened to be with Bella, so I sent her over,” Calvin took off her helt.
“Miss Sixty…” Jade greeted Calvin, “Since you’re here, if you don’t mind, co in and have dinner with us? We’ve prepared quite a lot.”
“Yes, you haven’t eaten either, join us?” Bella also invited.
This was her first ti inviting a friend over for dinner.
“Sure,” Calvin readily agreed.
She handed the bike keys to the Woods Family’s servant to park it, then entered the Woods Family’s living room with Bella.
Only to see Ashton Marshall and Oliver Hughes sitting together in the living room with Ron Woods, the sight surprises Bella and Calvin.
Oliver coming was already surprising, but Ashton was also there.
Always the rebellious Elliot Woods, sat obediently like a small figurine next to Ron, not daring to make a sound.
“Bella, you’re back.”
Ron Woods imdiately called her over once seeing Bella, “Co, have a seat… Miss Sixty?”
Ron was quite surprised to see Calvin too, then laughed, “Tonight the Woods Family is truly honored, not only the Third Young Master Marshall and Young Master Oliver have co, even Miss Sixty is here.”
“Miss Sixty and Bella are close, they’ve been playing together all afternoon, and she brought Bella back. I thought of inviting Miss Sixty to have dinner with us,” Jade quickly interjected.
As soon as she spoke, Ron’s eyes showed obvious excitent, subtly scrutinizing Bella, a complex calculating look flashing beneath.
Bella didn’t know if she judged correctly, but Ron’s gaze was not well-aning.
She wasn’t in the mood to care though, instead looking curiously at Ashton sitting in the living room.
Wasn’t he rekindling things with his ‘white moonlight’? Why was he here?
And also, what’s up with Oliver having dinner at the Woods Family?
“What’s going on?” Calvin whispered to Bella.
Bella shook her head cluelessly, “I don’t know either.”
“Bella, co sit next to Young Master Oliver,” Ron called them over seeing Bella and Calvin standing there, “Miss Sixty, you too, please have a seat.”
The servant brought in desserts and hot tea.
“Yes, Bella, co sit over here,” Oliver cleared a spot next to him, waving Bella over.
“Who would’ve thought, once engaged, now siblings,” Jade nudged Bella towards the seat next to Oliver, having her sit beside him.
“Bella, you’re really sothing. Mrs. Hughes wants to adopt you as a goddaughter, yet you didn’t ntion it at ho; it wasn’t until Oliver ca to present a gift that it was known,” Jade laughed.
“Ca to present a gift?” Bella glanced at Oliver, but her peripheral vision couldn’t help but drift towards Ashton, seated on the couch.
Since she entered, Ashton had been sitting there gracefully, with a serene deanor, and when his gaze casually swept over her, it carried a subtly profound aning.
Making Bella unsure of his intentions.
