Chapter 158: Chapter 158: It’s Quite an Honor to Be the Emotional Counselor for Uncle and Nephew
Late at night.
Bella Woods woke up and stared at the ceiling in a daze.
She hadn’t really fallen asleep and wasn’t sure how she woke up. Suddenly she was wide awake and tried to sleep again several tis, but she couldn’t.
Ashton Marshall held her the entire ti, his breathing steady. She didn’t dare to turn over, afraid of disturbing him.
Although they talked about so things tonight and cleared up so misunderstandings, Bella felt their issues weren’t fully resolved.
The topic of going abroad.
Including the relationship between the two of them.
On one hand, Bella wanted to clarify things.
But on the other hand, she felt maybe there was nothing to clarify.
Ashton always knew she was going abroad and didn’t bother to say much, probably because she kept him hidden, afraid others would find out. Perhaps Third Young Master Marshall felt his pride was hurt.
Or maybe he was unhappy being deed unpresentable for the first ti.
So things are best left unsaid.
Ashton was probably thinking since Bella was leaving anyway, they would remain silent until Bella’s departure ended their relationship without saying a word.
With Ashton’s status, it was impossible for him to have any defined relationship with her.
It’s not that Bella was looking down on herself, but Ashton’s status was too high. As the distinguished head of the Marshall family, a figure standing on the altar, his future wife should naturally be his equal.
He would only co down to ‘play a ga’ out of montary interest and wouldn’t truly co down from the altar for her.
With this thought, Bella felt much more at ease.
When she turned over to snuggle into Ashton’s embrace, the man who was originally fast asleep instinctively held her tighter and kissed her forehead.
“Can’t sleep?” the man asked, his voice still hoarse.
“Did I wake you?” Bella asked softly.
However, she didn’t receive a response from Ashton to this question, realizing he had asked out of habit.
Bella answered herself, “No, just looking for a comfortable position.”
“Hmm,” the man responded as usual.
Bella found a comfortable position and soon fell asleep.
When she woke again, it was already noon.
Ashton was nowhere to be seen in the room, but there was lunch and a note from Ashton in the dining area: Handling work matters, eat lunch obediently, and a driver will co to take you to class.
Ashton knew her class schedule and always made arrangents for her.
After Bella finished her lunch and was about to pack her things, she noticed that Ashton had already packed everything she needed for class.
The afternoon was a practical oil painting class with many materials to bring, but Ashton had organized everything.
There was also a note: The items are heavy; the driver will co up to take them, no need to move.
When it ca to taking care of her, the man was always ticulous.
For Bella, who had never been cared for in such detail before, this level of attention had a great impact, making her want to stay several tis before.
To stay by Ashton Marshall’s side.
Fortunately, she was not completely devoid of reason and could always suppress her thoughts at crucial monts.
Just as she was thinking, the doorbell rang.
The driver arranged by Ashton ca, took Bella’s things for class, and sent her to class.
…
Marshall Clan Group, President’s Office.
Oliver Hughes mustered up a lot of courage to step into the Marshall Clan Group to find Ashton Marshall.
Ever since seeing Bella Woods talking to Cyan Marshall at ho yesterday, she seed so vibrant and different that he couldn’t sleep.
He kept dreaming on and off, all about the past four years when Bella had been following him, all the things that happened.
He even dread that Bella was supposed to marry him but ended up leaving hand in hand with Ashton Marshall.
It made him feel anxious.
In the morning, on a whim, he decided to co find Ashton Marshall to talk about Bella Woods.
He had many doubts and felt lost, wanting Ashton to provide answers.
Ashton was only a few years older than him, but he had displayed maturity and wisdom beyond his peers since childhood, effectively presenting layered thoughts like an elder.
Oliver both admired and feared Ashton.
As a child, he would seek Ashton’s help with problems. As he grew older, he felt more and more respectful, especially following the changes at Marshall Clan Group, where Ashton’s aura beca even more dominant once he solidified his position, making Oliver more apprehensive about becoming too familiar with him.
Oliver took a deep breath and finally stepped into Marshall Clan Group, taking Ashton’s private elevator straight to the top floor office.
As the young master of the Hughes Family and future heir of the Hughes Clan, the employees at Marshall Clan Group recognized him, and no one dared stop him.
Once the elevator arrived, the secretary personally escorted Oliver to the President’s Office.
“Young Master, please.”
Oliver nodded, stepping into the office.
Only to see that it wasn’t Ashton Marshall sitting in the office chair, but Tim Season, causing Oliver to hesitate, “Brother Season?”
“Oliver?” Tim questioned, “You’re here to find… your uncle?”
“Yes, I have sothing to discuss with him. Is my uncle not here?” Oliver walked over and pulled the chair across from Tim to sit.
“Your uncle…” Tim scoffed lightly, “He’s busy coaxing his little girlfriend, doesn’t have ti.”
“His little girlfriend?”
“Oh, he has a business trip to City A today, but there are so urgent projects here that need decisions, so I’m handling it. However, he likely won’t return; after finishing in City A, he is expected to fetch his little girlfriend.”
“Brother Season, you really don’t know anything about my uncle’s girlfriend?” Oliver asked.
“I really don’t know; I just know the little girlfriend is quite young, studying at Peace University, her temper seems… quite feisty, at any rate, Third Young Master is either on his way to coax her or coaxing her.”
Tim couldn’t resist teasing Oliver with a couple of stories about Ashton.
It was just too offbeat.
Such a decisive and aloof man at work, who was cold and proud every day, suddenly coming down from the altar for a young girl, humbling himself to coax her was already sothing. What’s more, arranging everything ticulously.
He even sought Tim for drinks yesterday all because of this little girl; unbelievable.
“At Peace University…” Oliver suddenly thought of so dreams from yesterday, feeling panicked.
“By the way, you ca over specifically to find your uncle and now you’re sitting here. Does this an your problem is sothing I can help you solve?” Tim guessed Oliver’s reason for coming.
After teasing the uncle a bit, he still had to handle the nephew’s issue.
Otherwise, if Oliver ran to Ashton to complain, he’d be in trouble.
“Yes, I have so emotional dilemmas and wanted to ask Brother Season,” Oliver quickly said, “After all, Brother Season is a master in relationships.”
Tim tugged at the corner of his mouth, unsure whether to laugh or cry.
A master in relationships.
It seed all the young and old, when faced with emotional problems, would co to him. Especially in the past couple of days, one after the other, he felt honored to beco their emotional counselor.
