Purimu’s words were practically inaudible, but the whale’s senses caught them easily. They turned toward her, making her realize she had let that slip too late. She was startled for having completely relaxed, not feeling any danger.
She had ntioned earlier that only Rivine and Lansha from the Yinblood Sect were there. But Lyra belonged to the Phoenix Cry Sect. Other allies from the sects in the alliance might have co too. Alm and Bruno quickly reflected on the new possibilities.
Inside sealed worlds, the array didn’t work properly, especially in a place isolated from the universe. Shortly after leaving the hero’s seal, they tried to locate soone using the array, but it was completely useless, as if there was no one there.
Only now did they rember the array again. They used it and felt three allies inside that world. Since the three were in the other world, they hadn’t been detected before. When they entered, Purimu imdiately attacked them, and Alm and Bruno didn’t have ti to check again.
’Yuan, Rivine, and Lansha are at the ends of this place; the two are close, but Yuan is at the far end from them. They can locate each other using the array too, and they must have deliberately moved far apart,’ Bruno comnted ntally.
Sothing seed wrong. They could have felt the whale as soon as it entered, if they used the array to search for the allies. If they had, they would have known imdiately who was there and surely would have moved toward it as fast as possible.
’They seem to be extrely focused on sothing, so much so that they didn’t have ti to notice us,’ Alm reflected, then rembered sothing and turned to Heze.
"Kid..." The whale indicated the direction where the three were.
"These are the locations of the seals," Heze confird. "Counting the one near here, the last one is to the south."
Alm and Bruno sighed, imagining the situation. The array was connected to the user’s body, so when they went on the main mission and took the allies, it wasn’t available.
When these three entered the sealed world, they surely discovered the whale was there unconscious because of the array.
’No one knew where we were the whole ti. They must have searched with all the resources they had, without any news from us. When they finally located us, it must have shaken them deeply... maybe they’re trying sothing crazy in hopes of saving us,’ Bruno comnted with a sigh.
Alm nodded. Lansha was calm and focused, while Rivine was wild and emotional. With the three being the only ones to discover the truth, it was certain they were trying sothing at any cost.
’But how did they find out exactly where the Ziz was sealed... Yuan...’ Alm murmured, rembering that Azure Dragon.
After absorbing the flesh of the Primordial Dragon along with the other dragons, they all gained a supre connection with the heavenly laws. The older dragons gained a lot, but the younger brothers, still young and with low cultivation, gained even more.
Alm concluded: ’Through the connection with the body of that Primordial Dragon that he absorbed, Yuan must have clearly sensed the Ziz and discovered where the seals were. With his power... could it be possible?’
’Damn, they don’t know...’
Bruno abruptly interrupted the thought and almost jumped. They clearly felt an imnse heroic power erging within that place.
*Whooosh!*
Suddenly, a wave of draconic energy reverberated through the environnt. Purimu and Heze’s eyes widened, while the whale’s expression twisted.
’Yuan was attacked and used all his power,’ Alm spoke coldly. ’Fuck, he tried sothing with the seal, not knowing there were heroes here.’
Purimu had ntioned earlier that she didn’t know if the heroes would show up. It was safe to say that everyone in the alliance knew those heroes had suddenly disappeared. When the three arrived and discovered where the whale was, they were deeply shaken and didn’t think about the risks. They chose to act; even if it ant dying, they had to try to save him.
The Ziz was their best option. If they could sohow free him, the beast could act, or even the breaking of the seal could attract the heroes’ attention. Thinking about this, Alm and Bruno clearly visualized their plan.
’They split up so Yuan could break a seal. The plan in case a hero showed up was for him to draw their attention, and probably the others would save us. But how would they escape...’
**BOOM!!!!**
A deafening explosion shook the entire space, plunging that white world into chaos. Waves of destructive power reverberated everywhere. Instinctively, the whale grabbed Purimu and Heze, pulling them away with wide eyes.
Suddenly, everyone looked to the horizon, where a huge hole, ford by the breaking of the spatial laws, appeared. It was so imnse that anyone inside that world could see it.
On the other side of the hole, a dark aura, coming from the bones of that black sea, erged. It led out of the place. Alm and Bruno felt sothing through the array and were stunned.
’Shit! Lansha killed herself!’ Bruno exclaid, tense. ’She forced an exit, sacrificing herself!’
At that sa mont, they saw Rivine moving stealthily and leaving that world through the hole. She used the Yin and the laws of wind flawlessly; the Yin blended her with the environnt of the bone sea, while the wind gave her extre speed.
Their plan was totally suicidal. Yuan would interfere with a seal, checking if there were heroes nearby. If there weren’t, the Ziz could partially free itself and help them. Otherwise, Yuan would die. Then, Lansha, surprisingly, would be able to create an opening, sacrificing herself for it.
Rivine, who mastered the laws of wind and Yin, would be the only one to escape, and then would quickly run toward the whale. Surely, she would also sacrifice herself without hesitation to free him from wherever he was.
They had no idea there were hundreds of heroes in that place, much less that they were immortal heroes. So, the plan was dood to fail.
Alm and Bruno were stunned. The situation unfolded so abruptly, just as they were on the verge of discovering everything.
If they had been one minute faster... now they felt that Lansha was completely gone. Not even the rune of a Conqueror, which could bring her back, was perceptible. She had sacrificed everything to create the opening.
Unfortunately, the three were only part of the array’s network. To sense soone, the array had to be activated and searched. The whale, being the center of the array, could sense everyone effortlessly, but the opposite required them to actively want to sense sothing.
When they entered the sealed world, they must have used the array to locate each other and discovered the whale’s presence. In the less than an hour interval since the whale entered this other place, they could have sensed it, but they didn’t because they were focused on the plan.
*ROAR!*
The next mont, a painful and bloody roar echoed through the entire space. Yuan was completely suppressed by the hero. He lasted longer than a second, thanks to Lansha’s move, which surprised the hero. Now he acted and severely wounded him effortlessly.
Soon after, the whale saw a demonic figure, surrounded by a golden aura and with a grim look, crossing the hole in the horizon. He was holding a massive bloodied Azure Dragon.
The two disappeared, and a deathly silence settled.
