’Wait? Are we posing as young masters now?’ Bruno comnted ntally as he approached Mistie and the counselors. The image of them with two beautiful won holding their arms was definitely the image of a young master.
Alm didn’t respond; at this point, he didn’t care anymore. The whale’s group approached him. Corin stumbled, and Calirer supported him with a look of admiration and affection. anwhile, all the other won were watching the two beside the whale with strange expressions; they would never have the courage to do that next to Ruri. Only Rehvka had enough courage and status for that.
Rehvka’s eyes turned to Maelik, who was silent and thoughtful. She sighed lightly and said, "The fourth disciple just arrived; don’t pressure yourself too much. We all help and elevate each other. Just work hard and be loyal."
Maelik looked up and nodded quickly. Rehvka really took on the responsibility of guiding him, taking a weight off Alm and Bruno’s shoulders. They already had many responsibilities, and a new disciple was a big one; but everyone welcod him quickly.
The whale turned to Mistie and the counselors, then to the new mbers. "You still have to complete the entry test. Let’s go."
Everyone nodded and quickly passed the counselors, returning to the planet without bothering to look at them. When the group was far away, it took a few seconds for Mistie to sigh and turn to her counselors.
"He told before. His wife is also a candidate for divinity, just like his other two disciples." Mistie spoke calmly, as if she was confirming it to herself too.
"Denil is a terrifying half-human, but his followers are no less impressive. I didn’t move just for a disciple and placed the hopes of the sect and the Feys on his shoulders. He is soone who leads and quickly creates impressive people; look at the five new ones he brought recently. Everyone he accepts stands out greatly; with him being able to change the rules and do things his way, there is hope for our sect."
She finished, clenching her fists. Before, she acted on instinct without any basis; she just liked him for so reason. But now, he had shown himself to be an abyss whose depth could not be seen. She had made the most correct decision of her life.
"But... he is still a disciple of the God of the Forge... and ca from an ascending world. How can soone have so much?" a Fey counselor murmured, still incredulous.
All the counselors nodded, thoughtful; it really was very strange. But Mistie quickly cut off their thoughts.
"A favored one has always existed in every generation. The heroes said they would not create others with this power, but that doesn’t an soone blessed by the heavens can’t exist."
Everyone looked at her strangely. There was no doubt in their eyes. Did she really like that round figure?
"Stop thinking nonsense, idiots!" She roared. "I trust him because... look at the people around him. Everyone loves him and trusts their lives to him. In the forest, all the draconic beasts that decided to stay are the ones he helped and united. They now want to be by his side. Who with ill intentions would have people like that around them?"
All the counselors sighed lightly. It was still strange, but the facts were solid enough to give him a vote of confidence. So, they all slowly turned back to the planet.
Back at the arena where the test was happening, the whale returned calmly, with everyone in the arena staring at him without blinking.
They returned to the reserved spot, and the elder was there, trembling and watching the whale. "Err... welco back."
The whale nodded, not caring. Everyone settled in their places, and the five returned to the center of the arena as if nothing had happened.
It took several minutes for the elders to get back to what they were doing before. But... who would be crazy enough to fight those five? They had already won one fight, and their opponents imdiately gave up when they saw their nas. So, it was over.
A few minutes later, the whale’s group was watching the fights when the nervous elder received a ntal ssage and rushed out. Soon after, Mistie entered the reserved area, bringing the five approved youths.
"You hide a lot of things. First a Chromaraic, then a half Mara. What are you going to bring next?" Mistie spoke calmly, looking at the whale.
He just snorted and turned to the five, who were holding their red disciple tablets, excited.
Mistie led the whole group outside, using the teleport formation to reach the Dragonkin Haven Forest. The group moved without looking back, while the whale and Mistie stayed a little further behind. Everyone understood that the sect leader had co to talk to him.
After a while, Mistie looked seriously at him and asked, "When does the test for disciples occur, and how many of the red disciples can afford the advancent to beco grey disciples? Are you going to advance?"
"No. I haven’t visited a secret world of the sect yet. I also need to collect more Yinblood jewelry and train the newcors," the whale replied lightly.
Mistie nodded. "I understand. With your Rector tablet, you can contact anyti. You also have free passage throughout the sect and can do whatever you want... but, try to take it easy. The rules were made a long ti ago and have a purpose."
The whale just nodded, not caring, until the little Fey looked down strangely, and Alm and Bruno imdiately felt sothing wrong in the air.
’What?’ Bruno thought, stunned.
They turned to the Fey, who seed a bit shy. She looked up at them and spoke calmly. "You don’t want to co to my room again?"
’What the hell!?’ Alm and Bruno thought in unison.
Bruno started to talk to the whale, "I already said...", but swallowed his words midway. He felt a gentle fluctuation leaking from the Fey. It wasn’t what it seed; she was having trouble with Yin again, and since Alm had resolved it before, she wanted them to fix it again.
’Good luck with that.’ Bruno said ntally and imdiately left the whale’s control to Alm.
’You...’ Alm swallowed hard, feeling wronged. If he hadn’t done that, the two of them would have been devoured by this crazy Fey.
Alm’s mind worked quickly, using his fury as fuel. Suddenly he rembered sothing.
"Quirio!" The whale called lightly. Ahead, at so distance, his brother stopped and turned to the whale and the Fey.
He nodded and approached calmly, while the whale turned to Mistie with a doubtful face. "I said it was a family technique, right? He’s half demon, but it’s different because of his father. We’re half-brothers."
Mistie looked at the young man approaching and analyzed him deeply, quickly feeling the extrely young age and a pure innocence fluctuation in him. Suddenly, her eyes shone like two stars.
At the sa ti, Bruno saw this and jumped, startled. ’You bastard! Are you going to hand our brother over to this maniac?!’
’So much noise. If Quirio uses the thod perfectly, Mistie won’t be able to touch him before she passes out,’ Alm said dryly. ’Not to ntion he’s really very innocent and has always focused on cultivation; even our mother said she was worried he didn’t have friends or interest in won. Mistie will have to work hard to get anything, while Quirio will have the leash to dominate her and keep her under control.’
Bruno took a deep breath; it seed legitimate, but still, putting a lamb near a wolf seed cruel and risky.
Alm snorted and spoke ntally to Quirio: ’This will be your toughest and most painful test. I’ll send you a thod I created using Yin with the laws of chaos. If you replace the laws of chaos with your bloodline, you should be able to use it perfectly. If you learn to use this, you’ll have a weapon even your master Rehvka doesn’t possess.’
Quirio’s eyes lit up. Alm continued: ’The honored sect leader Mistie has volunteered to help train you. You must use the thod to balance her body.’ After speaking, Alm sent him the exact thod. ’This is just a prototype of the technique; you must improve it on your own. With it, you can even create a manifestation. Work hard.’
"YES!" Quirio said excitedly. Then, he turned to Mistie and bowed. "Thank you for helping , ma’am."
"Oh, no need to thank ," Mistie replied slowly with a wide, predatory smile.
Her small body glowed and, in a second, she took on a form exactly the sa size as Quirio. She extended her hand to him, and he looked confused.
Alm gave him a dry look, and he belatedly understood, quickly taking her hand.
She smiled and moved, leading him away. "Let’s go. I’m kind, but I’m demanding."
"I’ll do my best, ma’am!" His response was quick, and Mistie seed radiant as she left without even looking at the whale.
’God, protect this boy’s innocence... I think it’ll be impossible even for you. Protect his honor! Don’t let her abuse him too much,’ Bruno murmured, seriously concerned.
’Don’t be an idiot. We have a lot to do.’ Alm spoke dryly, and they left without looking back.
