Ruri waved excitedly, a mischievous grin spreading across her face. Bruno froze, while Alm chuckled inwardly, satisfied. ’The years have molded her well. She must have sched countless tis to survive. Now we have a complicity to set up so mischief,’ observed Alm.
Bruno sighed heavily. ’Life is tough, but she hasn’t lost her kindness... I feel like she only lets that side out when you influence her... I hope...’ he murmured.
Ruri belatedly realized Bruno was in charge and felt his disapproving gaze. Imdiately, her expression changed with a subtle "oops" slipping from her lips, quickly the gentle woman returned in face. Alm was even more pleased, while Bruno tried to ignore this performance.
The whale gestured for her to co closer, Ruri quickly ran close to them and grabbed his arm. Since they returned, Ruri only got very close if they directly allowed it. However, sotis when she noticed their piercing gazes towards her, Bruno would easily let her co closer. In the end, it didn’t change much; but now she showed a more controlled behavior.
They analyzed her body and Bruno didn’t see anything different; they had already done a perfect job before, just needed to remove impurities by further refining. However, Alm noticed a clear change. The whale’s eyes shifted with Alm taking over, Ruri quickly caught on. Alm remained silent and nodded slightly; Ruri understood and nodded back.
’You two already scheming together without saying a word?’ Bruno comnted, noticing the clear conspiracy, and was stunned.
Alm retorted, ’You’re a fool and didn’t look in the right place.’
Ignoring Bruno, Alm explained his demand and thoughts to Ruri. The spatial runes they stole from the black towers had to be used. Ruri just nodded in understanding, now her body had enough Qi to manipulate those runes more effectively.
Their target was exactly the two demons with divine cultivation that remained. This was the linchpin to their plans, and the third one had already been subdued. They needed to infiltrate the Three Extres Sect again and destroy the second seal. This would aid the Heaven’s Will and give them an optional quest with many extra resources.
The main reason for wanting this was that, currently, even with all the sect’s resources, Alm and Bruno didn’t see a way to increase their cultivation in less than ten years. Going to the divine realm would be the best option, but there was a very good source of resources and a system quest waiting for them there. Going to the divine realm, they didn’t know when they would be able to accumulate points again besides the side quest and the main quest.
Resources were everything for a cultivator, and for them, points in the system were even more important. They needed to make the most of where they knew they would gain, even if the dangers were imnse.
For this, they would first have to make the four Empyrean families leave and investigate the planet. That way, they would have an opening to infiltrate their allies among them and start extracting everything they owned. The best way was to destroy the second seal; that way, they would gain in all aspects.
But how to do this without being imdiately hunted? The answer was to dig a hole.
"In fifteen days, the barrier will open. We will eliminate all twelve families at once, but that will be just a smokescreen. At the sa ti, we’ll destroy the second seal. Then, we’ll have evidence that we’re not involved," explained the whale calmly. "We’ll use the demons for this; we need to capture them and set it up so that they and the twelve families are blad."
Ruri nodded contemplatively. "With my ntal power, I can easily implant mories in them."
"Yes, we’ll use our divine soul and your ntal power. We’ll create mories directly in their soul and mind, then we’ll make the demons break the seal. They were actually in league with the twelve families and acted under the orders of a Heaven-Defier. We were unfairly accused by them to divert attention from their shady movents," explained Alm, as Ruri’s eyes glead mischievously.
"These idiots acted in the shadows to prevent the humiliation they recently suffered here from being discovered. This will be a loophole that we’ll exploit. Thus, we’ll be the ones to destroy the twelve families and ruin their plans, while saving the skin of the four Empyrean families. We can openly revenge ourselves and then still be rewarded," Ruri concluded quickly, with a shrewd smile on her lips.
They would use Mihkriel’s mories and image for this purpose. Then, when the seal was destroyed and the Empyrean families captured the demons, an investigation would be initiated. Soon, they would discover about Mihkriel’s escape to the underworld, and the mories would match reality.
Since nobody knew where he went, everything would be perfect. Even the heroes’ followers would start a search throughout the queen’s universe for him. However, he would certainly be reincarnated in a random universe, not this one. This would help him develop safely; they used him, so it was a fair trade.
Creating and erasing mories in the demons’ souls wasn’t a difficult task for Alm and Bruno with their divine souls. Ruri dedicated herself to studying the possibilities and procedures of the formation. On her own, she improved the plan and ca up with a formation idea, and together, they carefully planned everything.
As they finalized, when a new day began, Ruri had already organized the formation and created a core using the spatial runes. The whale analyzed everything and nodded in satisfaction. At that mont, they saw her eyes fixed on them, waiting for sothing.
"Good job, go get ready," Alm said briskly.
Ruri heard and nodded, but she was clearly disappointed. After she left, Bruno sighed, saying, ’And here I am, the idiot.’
Alm simply ignored, but Bruno carefully pondered the matter. Alm wouldn’t admit or yield, no matter what happened. However, if Ruri took the initiative, currently, he would hardly reject her; he just had to get the timing right. He might not admit it in words, but accepting with actions was essentially the sa. The problem was conveying this to Ruri without Alm finding out.
Two hours passed, and the whale and Ruri moved alone. Everyone needed to prepare for the battle that would soon happen. Rehvka and Thea, now the most powerful in terms of cultivation, would be essential, so the whale left them studying the tattoos.
The duo quickly moved through what was now called the Sacred Forest. They would need to capture the two demons and put the whole plan into action in a few days before returning. All of this without leaving any evidence or traces.
Upon reaching the barrier, they used a thod that had proved very effective in the abyss. The whale dug a deep tunnel, and then Ruri jumped on its back, closing her eyes in total concentration. All her ntal power was employed to the limit to conceal them.
Although the twelve families were certainly watching the formation, they knew it would take several days for the energy to run out. It would be considered pointless to leave before then, so the most powerful elders, who might not be affected by Ruri’s power, probably wouldn’t be present.
Thus, the whale slowly passed under the earth, silently. They even used its soul to help ensure secrecy. With Ruri working in conjunction, they seed to complent each other in everything they set out to do together.
The chosen direction wasn’t towards the center, towards the sect. They headed west, towards the forest. The goal was a place near the Divinestone clan where everything began, precisely the large mound of earth where that Fey was sealed.
Entering the Three Extres Sect was very risky and would leave evidence. But there was a practical thod to capture the demon without needing to go there; they just had to release the Fey from the seal. Whoever put it there must have been the demon emperor; a descendant of the demon similar to the one in the abyss. They assud this because if the demon with divine cultivation had acted to save the Divinestone clan itself, it wouldn’t need to seal the Fey on the mountain.
The Fey possessed a higher realm, but if the three demons joined forces, they could trap it with the laws of the earth and exhaust it to death. The language of a primordial earth beast wasn’t a joke; if the enemy wasn’t much stronger, they couldn’t easily destroy the laws of the earth. With the three working together to trap it, the Fey would beco a turtle in a jar. Its body should contain many treasures; if the divine demon had acted, surely the Fey would have been killed.
The initial goal was to lure the demon emperor. Then, it was just a matter of trapping and taking him down, causing the son to fall, and then the father would co.
After distancing themselves quite a bit from the desert, they erged from the ground. Then, Ruri, with her cultivation and mastery of space, quickly brought them to the location, without forgetting to maintain a layer of ntal power to ensure secrecy.
It was noon when they approached the mountain of earth laws. The forest was exactly as Alm and Bruno rembered; mories of them walking leisurely while a happy Grassrunner jumped among the trees chatting random things surfaced. It was a short ti together, but a slight pang made them sigh; she definitely left her mark. Soon, Liumi would be by their side again, both thought.
A wild demonic beast used that place to cultivate. It was in the later levels of the Elental Condensation Realm, and for any cultivator of this ascending planet, even those in the Body Destruction Realm, it would be considered an extre danger. The physical body of a pure demonic beast was sothing that could easily compete with higher levels of humanoid races.
But Ruri wasn’t soone normal; even soone from the divine realms would be astonished by her. She just drew a katana that Vuard temporarily made for her and advanced. Alm and Bruno watched as she exchanged just three moves with the beast.
It was smooth and perfect; at the first opening of the beast, she easily cut it in half. Ruri’s speed and attack power were sothing impossible for a beast cultivating alone, without techniques to deal with.
So, Runula and Deryu enjoyed a snack that erged within the beastly world. anwhile, the whale moved towards the mountain.
Crack, Crack...
In a matter of seconds, cracks appeared all over the colossal mountain. It was all made of earth laws and the Behemoth’s Bloodline power. For the two, it was a delicious gift that they only didn’t collect earlier because they weren’t strong enough to deal with the consequences.
anwhile, Ruri prepared a massive spatial formation on the ground with total concentration. As soon as she waved to them, Alm and Bruno swallowed everything in the spatial inventory.
The landscape changed completely, leaving a gaping void where the mountain had been. Ruri prepared herself coldly; the formation was divided into two layers, one with her common spatial laws and the second with the runes stolen from the black towers. First, the demon emperor would co. Then, the target would arrive, and she would activate the second layer, surprising him and trapping him inside.
It was a demon with divine cultivation, and Ruri had no confidence in defeating him, nor did she think escaping from him was possible. But her master assured her that he could handle it. If he said so, she didn’t need to worry about anything.
Everything happened very quickly; the Fey fell from the sky to the earth gently. Alm and Bruno simply removed the physical seal; his mind and soul were still sealed because he had no Qi left; the fault lay with the two who had stolen in the past.
It didn’t even take a minute. Quickly, the space vibrated in the sky, and a wave of Qi erged from the center of the continent.
Ruri focused, and then a yellowish light beam appeared, covering the horizon. When it descended upon the earth, it caused a seismic shock along with various visual phenona. Dust covered everything around, but she felt the intruder touch the earth.
’NOW!’ He roared ntally and activated the trap.
A sea of runes covered everything around in a large area, the space closed, and nothing inside could easily escape. When the dust settled, Ruri felt two dense and powerful auras at the center. It was a success! Now it was just a matter of finishing off this emperor... what?
She saw two gigantic figures. One was her master, and the other... was just as tall as him, but not fat... Both radiated a dense and nearly identical bloodline power...
Suddenly, Ruri narrowed her eyes, feeling a feminine Yin standing out. Then, the dust settled; Ruri glimpsed in astonishnt the image of a tall, imposing woman, equally muscular.
The whale’s eyes widened; Bruno spoke, sighing. ’Shit... it’s our mother.’
Suddenly, the woman roared, and her entire cultivation was activated without holding back. In the next second, her fists split the space in a rciless strike.
