Alm and Bruno were imdiately stunned, then acted promptly, trying to sense Ruri through the array. However, they were currently at the far eastern end of the south, while Ruri was at the far west. The connection with Ruri was disabled because of her very low cultivation; she couldn’t even communicate through the array. However, Runula, having a high cultivation, could still establish the connection even though she was even farther away.

’Run in our direction!’ They quickly instructed Runula.

Alm and Bruno then imdiately felt where Runula was and blasted through the skies with every drop of QI they had in that direction. To gain more speed, they activated the tattoos and rged the Yin, Yang, and bloodline to generate golden power. It wasn’t as efficient as when Ruri used it with the queen’s power, but it still bent the spatial laws, giving them more speed.

In the skies, a golden star streaking across the heavens was visible even in the dwarf kingdom. In thirty minutes, the whale crossed half the distance. It was when they finally felt Ruri’s connection through the array.

’Damn, she’s hanging by a thread,’ Alm ntally roared. But Bruno, without waiting for a second, transferred all the accumulated power of faith through the array to Ruri.

They continued to fly at full speed, but to their shock, Ruri’s situation seed not to be improving, even with the power of faith.

Bruno then said dryly, ’Her body should be fine with the power of faith... did she suffer damage to her soul? How is that possible... her soul is as powerful as a cultivator at the peak of the mortal cultivation.’

’We have to use all the remaining shadows of relief; that should stabilize her.’ Alm suggested, but that wasn’t an energy and couldn’t be transferred through the array. They had to reach her.

They crossed the skies, and ten minutes later, they saw a wyvern flying in their direction. Runula ran with all her might, even burning her life to gain more speed. Ruri was with her.

As they took Ruri, her body was perfectly fine, not a single scratch. No matter the enemy, her clothes were divine armor and couldn’t be cut in a single blow, not even multiple ones. Several dozen shadows of relief collected from the Ashen Realm were poured directly into Ruri’s soul.

In seconds, they saw her completely shattered soul stabilize. It didn’t heal, but she wouldn’t die. At this level of damage, anyone would be in a deep coma forever, but they had the thod and the new technique to heal her.

’If her soul wasn’t so strong, it would have been destroyed imdiately.’ Alm said, relieved.

The whale held Ruri on its back and then turned to Runula. She was in her human form to conserve energy, her eyes were vacant, and her body trembled slightly. The whale approached, touching her forehead and assessing her condition. Runula had lost a third of her life force. If her cultivation were lower, that amount would be problematic, but her lifespan was considerably long now due to her bloodline. When she advanced to other realms, it wouldn’t make much difference.

"Good job, rest."

They said, and Runula sighed in relief, fainting afterward. Soon after, they invaded her mories. Runula didn’t resist, so they saw the sky battle scene from her perspective.

Imdiately, they were confused. It didn’t make sense. Then, they placed the wyvern girl next to Ruri on their back and flew away quickly.

In an hour, they arrived in a small area between two mountains. Imdiately, inside the whale’s body, they felt its entire Behemoth bloodline vibrating. They had only felt sothing similar when they entered the desert for the first ti, a few years ago. After that, it cald down, and they never felt it again.

The sll of burnt and destruction still lingered in the air. A scorched and blackened land stretched before them, all devastated by Runula’s dragon breath.

As they approached, Deryu and Loeus ran towards them with tense eyes. The whale just waved, calming them down, and handed over Runula. Loeus held Ruri’s katana with both hands, whose blade was destroyed and broken in half. The whale sighed and turned forward.

Soon, they approached the center of the destroyed land. Everything turned into dust with no trace of the remaining ogre bodies. Before the attack, they had checked the tents and found no won or babies. The ogres were still hunting new victims, and those they had must have been killed.

The whale quickly opened and sifted through the earth, guided by their bloodline. In just two seconds, they found a small bright spot deep in the ground. As they approached, they ca across sothing that looked like a two-centiter rounded crystal. It emitted a natural silver glow, and Bruno quickly felt an intense affinity for life coming from that object.

They reached out to grab it but quickly were shocked and activated their physical cultivation. That small two-centiter crystal was as heavy, or even a bit heavier than the bone club!

"What the hell is this? How can sothing be so heavy..." Bruno was incredulous.

In Runula’s mories, Ruri and Loeus were fighting hundreds of ogres normally. Everything flowed naturally, and the ogre king was just a little more powerful than usual. He was at the end of the Core Formation Realm and had an extrely dense physique. However, strangely, he carried a light and rudintary spear.

After so ti of fighting, the ogre king attacked Loeus, judging him to be the most powerful and problematic. They fought, and Loeus didn’t fall behind. Then, Ruri accumulated spatial laws in her katana and attacked when Loeus made a big move, throwing the ogre several ters back.

The ogre, strong and experienced, felt death approaching even without keeping up with Ruri’s speed. He then put his hand on his chest and, reflexively, pulled out that crystal.

Ruri’s katana attacked the most obvious place, the ogre’s neck. He, experienced, placed the crystal right there; Ruri saw the movent but didn’t think it could be sothing strange. Her lack of experience was crucial in her decisions.

Soon, her katana collided with the crystal and was completely destroyed. The spatial laws didn’t scratch the crystal, and the katana made of dragon glass seed like ordinary glass in comparison.

Ruri jumped, surprised and scared, and from above, Runula saw her activate her ntal power with everything she had. It was a desperate move against the ogre’s spear coming her way.

Runula imdiately dove down from the air, feeling that sothing was wrong, unlike Ruri. The spear reached Ruri first, but it posed no danger, and Ruri didn’t even activate the earth laws of the runic seal on her clothes. The spear was aid at her heart and simply collided with her dress as if it had hit an iron wall. Then, the ntal power exploded like a supernova.

However, the ogre simply raised the crystal again in front of him and Ruri, and the impossible happened.

The silver glow of the crystal beca intense. Suddenly, Runula’s vision blurred; it was a total suppression, even on her dragon bloodline. Runula fell to the ground, powerless for a second; then, upon raising her gaze, she saw Ruri falling to the ground unconscious, her life seeming to slowly fade away.

In the sa second, Runula roared in frenzy and killed them all with overwhelming power. There was nothing to save those ogres from such a large difference in cultivation.

Returning to the present mont, the whale looked at that crystal, analyzing it calmly. Other than its abnormal weight and its mystical silver glow, they felt its bloodline pulsating. So, without hesitation, they used their divine souls to invade the crystal.

...

Inside, everything seed covered by so earthly brown substance...

They looked around and felt only a dense and infinite power of the soul. It was strong but inferior to theirs. At the sa ti, they realized that it was just an inert soul fragnt. They were shocked; if the fragnt was powerful like this, the complete soul...

So, Alm and Bruno jumped, feeling a gaze open in their direction.

’Hm? My... there are two, my children... it’s fine, take it.’ The voice sounded faintly, and then everything went dark.

Right after, the whale opened its eyes. In its body, they felt an energy rging with them; the soul fragnt they absorbed in the prison stirred. Soon, in their blood, within three seconds, dozens of drops of bloodline erged...

Minutes passed, and more and more drops appeared until it stopped at reaching a hundred of them.

Alm and Bruno fell silent, analyzing everything they felt. A few minutes passed, and the two reached a clear conclusion.

’That voice had a divine soul just like ours.’ Bruno said with a sigh.

Alm then added. ’A small fragnt of his soul was in the crystal, and it launched a fierce counterattack against Ruri, almost killing her... now it has rged with our bloodline, and the bastard called us sons. There’s no doubt, that was the will of a real Behemoth.’

’But why this crystal, and what is this...’ Bruno wondered, looking at the crystal that still seed the sa. However, there was no longer any connection to their bloodline.

They had nothing more to do there, and they wouldn’t find answers at that mont. They stored the crystal and waved to Loeus and Deryu behind them, then returned to the camp.

Upon arriving, without wasting ti, they called Vuard and asked if he knew about it. Then they saw his eyes widen in surprise.

"Lord! This is a moonlight crystal," he said, astonished. "It’s a treasure that the dwarf kingdom rarely mines. How we ca across this is a secret of the dwarves... but it is extrely rare to find it in other places on the continent besides the region of the dwarf kingdom."
