[Side Quest Available 01]

[Restore the consciousness and life of the Wisps.]

[Reward 01: Main Quest Unlocked]

[Reward 02: 400 Upgrade Points]

He read the objective of that quest carefully, feeling a little confused. Wisp consciousness? They knew that the wisps were the origin of souls, but... now that he stopped to think, where did consciousness co from?

Clearly, the influence of the original personality of a divided wisp, which generated multiple different souls, remained. However, these souls turned into distinct consciousnesses, like siblings who shared similar origins but, in the end, lived very different lives and drifted apart.

They had refined all the wisps, which were pure Origin-Law. So, didn’t they disappear? Was the consciousness still sowhere?

There were many questions, but there was no ti to think too much. Quickly, they focused on the internal universe and made their way to the true Tree of Chaos, which had absorbed all the wisps with the power of the primordial chaos pillar.

When they reached the tree, they concentrated on trying to sense any trace... but nothing could be found. It was as if they had really disappeared.

He thought deeply about the possibilities. The images of the origin of everything, the division of Oga, and the creation of the wisps ca to his mind. At first, they were all just an accumulation of energy wandering randomly through the forests of the islands.

Until sothing changed in a few of them... was it really random?

He knew it wasn’t. In his life, nothing had ever been random. Heaven’s Will always manipulated events, but at the sa ti, his own decisions had a great influence on the course of things. It was a joint effort, never re chance. There was always a reason for sothing to happen, whether because of his choices or from not paying attention to the signs.

"The laws always divide the very conscious and intelligent wisps, it was like they were a pure seed ready to generate countless expanded trees. The na ’Origin-Law’ isn’t for nothing. Probably, this is part of Oga that... part of Oga..."

As he reflected, Alm and Bruno noticed sothing between the lines. The half of Oga, the Origin-Law, had fused with them, and they were a complete fragnt of Oga. The system said the consciousness of the wisps still existed. If it wasn’t anywhere, could it an it was inside them?

A theory arose in his mind. What if Oga’s pure consciousness divided, and from the beginning, it was already conscious but, by its own will, stayed dormant until the right mont to awaken and live?

"If this is true, the wisps gained nothing, they were already Oga. They were just temporarily dormant. But eventually, they return to being."

That would explain why all the wisps had listened to him before. He, as the complete Oga, had slowly awakened their consciousnesses through his will.

The whale closed his eyes and focused on his celestial souls, searching within for sothing new.

They had never explored their past lives, before Earth, because they considered it useless. They already had a divine soul. Like everyone else, they assud they had lived diocre lives. Moreover, they already carried enough trauma and weren’t interested in accumulating more.

When they found nothing different, they observed two distinct energy flows in their celestial soul. With their current knowledge, they knew it was the Birth-Law and the Origin-Law, perfectly united again.

They headed to the part of the Origin-Law and searched for past lives...

"Shit..."

His eyes widened. There were no sealed lights, which would be the mories of past lives, like in other people. There were just billions of white dots, which clearly didn’t belong to them.

Everyone was truly there. But where were their own previous mories? Had he never had them from the start?

"Everything just keeps getting stranger. Well, this isn’t important right now," he murmured, gesturing to remove all those white dots.

Now, another problem arose: how to restore them and bring them back to life? The bodies of the wisps were pure Origin-Law, and obviously, they didn’t have enough to recreate them.

"Does it really have to be the sa?"

He quickly thought and rembered the Earth stories about the wisps. How Earth knew about them was a mystery, but in these stories, they were depicted as fantasy monsters... usually pretty weak but not doing much harm.

"Heaven’s Will always gives us the tools beforehand. Should I create this? With a race?"

[Total Celestial Points: 810]

[Creation Miracle] [810 Celestial Points]

"Hmm... exactly the points needed. Well, this is definitely not a coincidence."

He huffed, but there was another big problem. When they created the Dire Feys, Mistie was already pregnant, and everything the race could have already existed within the fetus. Later, when they created the Primordial Battle Spirits, the base rune of Lansha also already existed.

In both cases, they simply assessed and organized the possibilities, then altered the heavenly laws, adding the race and its specifications. Now, they had nothing, just billions of things that could hardly be called souls.

"I can’t create a body out of nothing..." he muttered. In his hand was still Liumi, who was listening to everything they murmured and seed to understand a little.

’Master wants to create a body? Isn’t it just like what you did with ? Technically, master gave life again.’ Liumi’s voice rang in his mind, nearly making him jump.

Indeed, the bodies of their weapons had been made by them. However, the mission was clear: restore the wisps, not just embody them into random bodies.

Even if the second option was valid, all they had were white dots that couldn’t even be considered souls yet. Creating sothing functional from that would be another giant headache. Ti was also really short...

Liumi’s words seed to be a way out. As he looked at the Tree of Chaos and rembered the process of creating his weapons, his mind clicked.

"The Chaotic Refinent."

The physical cultivation and tattoo techniques were crucial to reaching the current level, but the Dao of the God of the Forge also played a fundantal role at the start of everything. In fact, that Dao was the first one they surpassed their own creator with, creating sothing new and better.

The Chaotic Refinent, created using the Tree of Chaos, allowed materials to be transford into molecules and easily fused. After learning about the materials, losses beca null, allowing them to fuse anything to create their weapons.

Yes, fuse anything. They had always been able to add laws and other properties to materials, but the enchantnt seal was much better, and they never considered it. It changed the material’s property, making it more compatible. Simply adding laws wasn’t enough because each tal had its own affinities. The seal was, in fact, magical and much more efficient.

This technique had been developed a long ti ago and was limited to weapon creation. But now, with their powers elevated to an astounding level, doing this had beco trivial, and they had an incalculable capacity.

With a wave, they controlled the Tree of Chaos, allowing the Qi to rge into it through the Chaotic Refinent.

"Interesting... thanks, Liumi," he said, excited, watching sothing unexpected erge.

Using a large amount of Qi, a small bluish energy sphere was created. The Qi was rged and condensed, subtly changing its property. They added more and more until a large, pure energy sphere stabilized.

[Creation Miracle]

[Use?] [Yes / No]

He accepted, imdiately feeling the vast possibilities. This was just a mass of energy created from Qi through refinent, but it could already be considered a body.

[Create a new race?] [Yes / No]

He analyzed it and beca thoughtful.

"Hmmm... this will be tricky... after creation, any universe that possesses Qi will have the chance to give life to this race. But, they will be like a divine elixir for cultivators... I need to make them weaker or they’ll never be able to live."

He adjusted the settings to weaken them as much as possible. This would drastically reduce their life expectancy, but living a short life didn’t necessarily an living badly. After all, he had only lived a few decades on Earth, and his life hadn’t been insignificant.

"It’s better to add so unpredictable variables."

In the new race’s configuration, he allowed other natural energy sources to interact with their birth. So, rarely, and according to the will of the heavens and karma, unique mutations could arise.

The weakening made the race live a short life, but they were still extrely attractive to cultivators who wanted to devour them, though it wasn’t sothing absurd.

However, perhaps these unpredictable variables could eventually create a unique existence. That would make others think twice before underestimating or hunting them. Or maybe not... after all, cultivators were always bold. But in the end, the fate of these beings would be entirely theirs, and even in suffering, there would be learning.

"Well, since Qi exists in many places, this race will never be extinct. Their natural problems won’t destroy them."

With a gesture, he confird the creation and added the na. "Wisp seems good."

[Na registered.]

[New race created, congratulations on the achievent!]

[ 300 Celestial Points Received]

With just one body created, the new race was registered in the heavenly laws. From that day on, the Wisps would truly exist... or maybe just more of them would exist, after all, Alm and Bruno already knew the Earth legends about these beings.

Perhaps this was a race that had existed at so point and went extinct. Or maybe they still existed and had just gained a terrifying variation, just like what happened with the Dire Feys.
