Chapter 492: Ch-492: Auction (2)

Feng i heard this, and veins popped out on her forehead as she guessed her mother must have exaggerated many things to embarrass her. Not wanting to talk about it, she diverted the topic.

"Hey, do you know who caused trouble a few days ago in the capital? I heard that person was from the Eight Great Families," Feng i asked with curiosity.

"Yeah, it’s true, but the news has been suppressed, and we also don’t know," Tang Nian said with frustration.

Step. Step.

They looked to the side and forward when they saw a masked man approaching them.

"I did not expect you, Feng i, to know each other," Wang Ming said in surprise while looking at the girls. He raised an eyebrow when he saw them looking at him with a weird expression on their faces.

"Who are you, and how do you even know my na?" Feng i asked, looking at the masked man who had just appeared. She was not as famous as Tang Ning, who was from the Tang Family and the daughter of the patriarch. Moreover, Tang Ning was also the successor of the current sect master of the Heavenly Sword Sect, so it would not be surprising if soone recognized her due to her fa. Feng i herself, however, was very low-key, and except for a few people, no one knew her. Suddenly, a terrifying thought erged in her head. "Damn, could this be so kind of distorted stalker?"

Feng i looked at Wang Ming again, this ti full of wariness, which puzzled Wang Ming deeply.

"Don’t you recognize my voice?" Wang Ming asked while looking at Feng i, but it was the Tang sisters whose eyes lit up in realization.

"So it is you, Wang Ming. Why are you wearing a mask?" Tang Nian said in surprise.

Feng i, upon hearing Tang Nian, blinked, relaxed, and said, "Oh, it’s you, dear. The sect master did ntion that you would be here..."

"Wait, you know each other? And why are you calling him dear?" Tang Ning asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Oh, he is my partner I talked about, but how do you know each other?" Feng i replied nonchalantly and looked at the sisters questioningly.

The Tang sisters were surprised and narrated everything—how they t Wang Ming for the first ti and how they t again today.

"Holy shit, Wang Ming, I didn’t know that you have connections with even the princess. How did you even get to know her?" Feng i looked at Wang Ming in shock as she asked. She then narrowed her eyes at him and thought, "Wait, could he also be a prince? No, that shouldn’t be possible... but this is Wang Ming."

Seeing the suspicious look thrown at him, his eyebrows twitched as he replied coldly, "I t her in a secret realm and saved her once."

Wang Ming replied nonchalantly and tried to divert the topic. "So what were you ladies talking about?"

"I was asking who caused a commotion a few days ago in the capital, but they also don’t know," Feng i rolled her eyes at Wang Ming’s attempt to divert the question.

"You don’t know?" Wang Ming asked Tang Nian and Tang Ning, and they shrugged their shoulders.

"It was that pig," Wang Ming said with a smirk.

"You an Zhang Liang?" Tang Nian asked excitedly as she saw Wang Ming nod his head in agreent.

"Wait, how do you know?" Tang Ning asked, looking at Wang Ming suspiciously. They themselves didn’t know, so how could Wang Ming, who had co to this city for the first ti, know?

Wang Ming shrugged his shoulders and remained silent.

The five-star grand auction was held inside the large establishnt of Golden Leaf City, Golden Sun, one of the most luxurious places in the city and the largest auction hall under the Jiang Family among the countless ones they owned.

The reason the venue was so famous, aside from being luxurious, was its owner, Jiang Ruoxi, a mber of the Jiang Family.

She was the most talented and most beautiful woman in the entire Jiang Family, a true prodigy who had reached the middle Golden Core Realm while still in her forties. Considering that cultivators could easily live for thousands of years, forty years was very young. Her most powerful ability, or bloodline, was the ability to control plants and trees.

With a simple stretch of her hand, she could summon countless vines and trap her opponents, encasing them in a cocoon and draining their life force. The vines she summoned were extrely sturdy and hard to break even for cultivators, and were even stronger than steel reinforced by spiritual energy.

Many rogue cultivators and even mbers of her own family feared her because of her power, especially n who had the misfortune of pursuing her and getting beaten black and blue.

As such, she was nicknad the "Forest Empress."

And so, with her being the mber of the Jiang Family in charge of the building, no one had the guts to cause trouble there. Of course, there were a few bold ones who attempted such a feat, as the allure of five-star auction items was too much, and they tried to attack the place—but they died within seconds. There were also a few troublemakers who tried to use their backgrounds to suppress others who had the sa interest in certain auction items. As a result, not only were they beaten black and blue, but they were also permanently blacklisted by the Jiang Family. Golden Sun was the only place in the entire kingdom where auctions of such high quality, like five-star auctions, were held.

"We’re here," Tang Ning said as they stopped in front of a humongous building.

Stopping in front of the large structure, the first thing they saw was a massive sign with the words "Golden Sun" engraved at the front.

"Let’s go." Tang Ning said as everyone followed her towards the gate.
