Chapter 405: Ch-405: Spirit Dinsion (2)

’How did that slacker even get such disciples to join her peak?’ The elder guarding the staircase was genuinely shocked as he noticed the Jade Peak symbol on their robes. Anyone who had permission to enter the Spirit Dinsion was far from ordinary, and he also realized their cultivation was higher than that of most elders in the sect.

Jiang Yao was still frozen in disbelief. Snapping out of her daze, she instinctively tried to run after them upstairs but was blocked by the elder.

"Disciple, where do you think you’re going? You are not allowed upstairs," the elder frowned when he saw Jiang Yao attempting to follow.

"Oh, sorry." Jiang Yao blinked back to her senses, then quickly used her spiritual sense to search inside her space ring. She brought out a wooden token.

"Here, elder. This should be enough to let

go upstairs, right?" Jiang Yao said as she handed it over.

The elder’s pupils contracted, and his mouth hung open in disbelief as he stared at her.

’What the hell—another disciple with permission to enter the Spirit Dinsion? Even I was denied entry at her age, but now these tokens are being handed out like cabbages...’ The elder cried out inwardly, though he kept a neutral expression outwardly.

"Fine, you may pass," the elder said, stepping aside. Just as Jiang Yao was about to head upstairs—

"Hey, sis! How the hell did you get that? And what about ?!" Jiang Cheng shouted anxiously when he saw the token.

"Father gave it to

before I ca here," Jiang Yao replied with a sneer, which made Jiang Cheng’s eyebrow twitch violently.

’Hah, another spoiled brat... must be from the Jiang Family in the capital,’ the elder thought, glancing at Jiang Yao with a sigh, his heart tinged with jealousy at her powerful backing.

"It’s only for . He didn’t send you anything. Now, if you’ll excuse

I need to go and who told you to cause trouble everywhere?" Jiang Yao said without even looking at him and went directly to the next floor.

"Damn, this partiality..." Jiang Cheng grumbled under his breath, pouting as he watched his sister’s figure disappear.

"So this portal must be the entrance, huh?" Wang Ming said to Min Li as they arrived at the top floor. The room was small, with a glowing white circular portal at its center.

"Yeah... honestly, this is my first ti seeing a portal," Min Li exclaid. Back at ho, she rarely went outside. Even when she went for training, she was always accompanied by bodyguards who prevented her from entering dangerous areas. So she had never really had the chance to explore until she joined the sect.

"Hey, wait for !" Jiang Yao’s voice rang out as she spotted Min Li and Wang Ming near the portal. There had been too many stairs to climb, and if she were an ordinary person, she would have been panting heavily by now.

"Eh, why are you here—and how the hell did you even get permission to co up here?" Min Li asked with a raised eyebrow, though there was a bit of annoyance in her voice.

"Hmph, if you can be here, why can’t I?" Jiang Yao muttered under her breath before explaining, "My father got

a token from the Sect Master using his connections, and he even made a donation to the sect."

"Honestly, I had this token with

even before joining the sect, but I didn’t use it at the ti because of my low cultivation. I wanted to raise my cultivation first to maximize the benefits of the Spirit Dinsion, since later it would be harder to improve through normal ans. I was originally planning to wait another year, but I changed my mind and decided to tag along with you," Jiang Yao said with a shrug as she explained to Min Li.

As Min Li listened, her eyebrows twitched.

’Damn, this girl is too spoiled by the head of the Jiang Clan,’ Min Li clicked her tongue inwardly. Inadvertently, she felt a bit jealous. Her own father had never spoiled her like that—she had always needed to work hard to earn resources for cultivation from the Min Family. Of course, if she acted spoiled she could have gotten the sa benefits as Jiang Yao, but she had always refused to do so.

"Alright, let’s first grab a mask before we enter," Wang Ming said, pointing at the rack filled with white, faceless masks. The girls nodded, and once they put the masks on, their figures began to distort—their faces and bodies slowly becoming shrouded in a strange white mist.

"So this is what they ant by hiding identity," Wang Ming mumbled. He had read the rule book the elder tossed him before they ca here. Since the Spirit Dinsion is a completely different realm, countless treasures can be found within. Other than the Yang-Yin Sect, disciples from many other sects also train here, and sotis even mbers of the royal family use it for cultivation. Of course, ordinary cultivators have no chance of entering this place.

The mask was ant to hide their identities, since the disciples who trained here were the future powerhouses of their organizations. If their talents caught too much attention, so might resort to shady ans to "cut the grass before it could grow."

Wang Ming put on the mask and felt his body change—more precisely, it seed like his entire face beca shrouded in a thick white mist, just like the girls.

"Let’s go." Without saying anything further, he stepped into the portal with the girls.

Woosh, woosh, woosh!

The portal swallowed their figures, and they vanished inside.

---

"So this is the Spirit Dinsion, huh? Everything is so white," Min Li said as the three of them appeared inside. The spiritual energy here was even denser than in the cultivation tower. She looked around and saw the sky and even the ground covered in a thick, white mist.

"Let’s keep walking," Wang Ming said as they began exploring the area.
