Chapter 372: Ch-372: Technique Hall (6)

"Oh, really?" Bai Lingxi asked curiously. From their earlier conversation with the Sect Master, she knew how rare and significant such a privilege was—one even elders didn’t receive easily.

"Indeed! She’s the strongest disciple in the entire sect, with the highest cultivation. She’s even closer to reaching the Peak Master’s level and has surpassed most elders in terms of cultivation stage," another Core Disciple added with pride.

"So, do you understand now why you can’t just go up there? You need to—" The disciple’s words ca to a screeching halt, her eyes widening in shock as Wang Ming and the girls raised their hands and showed the rings on their fingers, the symbols of the Sect Master’s personal permission.

"Eh? Am I seeing this right, or is that really a permission seal being projected from their rings?" said one of the Core Disciples in disbelief.

"No, you’re not imagining it. I’m seeing the sa thing," another girl replied in a dazed voice.

The projection from the ring was unmistakable. It was an official authorization issued only at the reception hall. They all knew the lady at the counter, and there was no way to fake that kind of ring—such rings were automatically generated upon receiving personal permission from a Peak Master. And in this case, access to the top floor could only be granted by the Sect Master himself.

Gulp.

The girls swallowed a mouthful of saliva. Just monts ago, they were boasting about their Senior Sister being the only one in decades to receive such permission. Now, in front of them stood a whole group with the sa authorization, leaving their minds completely blank.

"Who... who exactly are you people? Are you perhaps from outside the Black Bamboo Kingdom? If that’s the case, it would make sense why you were granted such permission," one of the Core Disciples asked hesitantly.

"Really? Does being cultivators from outside the Black Bamboo Kingdom make them that important?" another disciple questioned in a doubtful tone.

"Hah, you guys know nothing," said a third disciple who seed more inford. "Cultivators from outside the Black Bamboo Kingdom are, at minimum, at the Golden Core Realm. I heard it from an Elder who once left the kingdom. He realized how insignificant he was compared to the world outside—like a frog in the bottom of a well. Ever since, he beca far more humble." this shocked the other girls as they heard her.

"I hate to break it to you, but we’re also from the Black Bamboo Kingdom—not from outside," Wang Ming said calmly, though technically it wasn’t true. He wasn’t even from this world.

"What?! Then why do you have such privileges? Our Senior Sister is the top disciple in the entire sect—that makes sense. Could it be you’re from so hidden family, and the Sect Master granted your companions access as well?" the disciple speculated.

Wang Ming shook his head in denial, which only deepened her confusion.

’Sigh... maybe he has so kind of secret. I shouldn’t pry too much or I might invite trouble for myself,’ the disciple thought silently.

The Core Disciples watched as Wang Ming and the girls walked toward the stairs.

"Ugh," Bai Lingxi’s expression shifted slightly as she neared the staircase. This ti, she could feel a heavy weight pressing down on her shoulders. She quickly mobilized her spiritual energy, which was significantly more than what was needed for the previous staircases.

"Damn, this is way stronger than the last ones," Luo Li comnted as she stepped onto the first stair.

"Hey, are you alright?" they heard Shi Yu’s voice from behind. They turned to look and saw Min Li drenched in sweat, as though so invisible force was trying to stop her from advancing.

’Damn,’ Min Li cursed inwardly as she felt an overwhelming resistance pushing her back. She knew she might not be able to climb all the way to the top floor, but she didn’t want to waste this golden opportunity to acquire powerful techniques. Her forehead glistened with sweat, and her clothes clung to her body, soaked through.

Thud.

As soon as she placed one foot on the stair, the pressure increased tenfold, forcing her down. She dropped to one knee under the imnse weight.

"Hmm?" Her eyebrows furrowed when she suddenly felt the pressure lighten significantly. She looked up to see Wang Ming beside her and realized he was using his own spiritual energy to shield her.

"Be careful," she heard Wang Ming say as he extended his hand toward her. She took it.

"Thanks," she said softly, blushing a little as she rose to her feet.

"You need to be at the Golden Core Realm to withstand this pressure. Otherwise, even if you have permission, you won’t be able to go up," said one of the Core Disciples watching from the side.

Wang Ming activated his Soul Eyes to examine her condition.

[ Na: Min Li ]

[ Cultivation: 10th order of the Core Formation realm ]

[ Occupation: Outer Court Disciple of Yang-Yin Sect, Non-Dual Cultivation Departnt]

[ Physiques: None]

"Sigh, you all should go ahead. Even though it’s unfortunate to miss this golden opportunity, there’s no other option," Min Li said with a sigh.

’What does she an by telling them to go up? Haven’t they realized that you need to be at the Golden Core Realm to ascend?’ thought one of the Core Disciples.

The next mont, all of their eyes widened in shock as they watched Wang Ming and the girls easily ascend the stairs.

’What the... ’They had assud only Wang Ming was at the Golden Core Realm—understandable, since he had received personal permission. They thought the others were rely granted access because they were his Dual Cultivation partners and they would fail like Min Li. But now it seed they had severely underestimated them.

And who could bla them? Golden Core Realm experts were rare in the Black Bamboo Kingdom. Moreover, just monts ago, these people had been Outer Court disciples.
